you are nailing Joe's pentatonic style. great tips. best ive seen!
This is the best I found as well.
absolutely!
Got to say, so far I've really loved your videos. You do an awesome job of explaining concepts at large as well as demonstrating them in context. Thanks for the help!!
I have been watching a lot of these videos lately about Joe Bonamassa and Eric Johnson style licks and sequences but I have to say this one is the best one I’ve seen so I can’t wait to go back and practice along with this video so I can learn how to nail this stuff. Great teaching and demonstrations!! I would love to see you do a video just like this one about Neal Schon of Journey.
I've waited a long time to see these licks broken down. Thank you so much for doing this so comprehensively Ross.
Great job!!
I was looking for these licks for long time! Thank you man!
Ross, this is a fantastic video. I've been looking for a breakdown like this for years. Thanks for posting. Cheers, Mike
One of the best soloing lessons on youtube! Keep it up dude! :-D
Every time I listen, it amazes me more. Incorporating this into what do is a must, even if it's along while off. Thanks again bruh.
Wow what a lesson!! this is one of the best I've seen on Joe's style or any lesson for that matter. Tabs on the screen is a big +. This guy's playing is amazing and very fluid. Great great job!
Bravo! I have always been confounded by Joe B’s mastery of the rhythms in his sequences; every note just kills: they’re so in the pocket it’s scary! Your lesson is a priceless look into how he picks and sequences them. Thank you so much!!! God bless you and stay safe in this storm, sir!
Glad it was helpful. Thank you!
Once more, you re teaching on a so pedagogic and clear manner. You are in my top 3 (neogeofanatic in french is so great too !!!)
Take it from an old guy. You're a talented young man and an excellent teacher. Thank you for sharing. When I grow up I wanna play as well as you..
Awesome lesson!!! Love the tab enclosures with the split screen of your fingers playing in close up view. Thank you so much, Ross! Greetings from Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA!
Thank you!
great lesson! been looking all over for a breakdown of this part of joe's style! thank you
Now this is how you train and "show" other guitar players to play! Congrats & much Respect! No self indulgence, no Bulls**t-Just riffs and a short commentary! Well Done, Well Done!!
Thanks Ross, I love the sound of this lick and it really helps slowing it down and putting the tabs on screen. Now, just a year to get it up to speed. :)
First, your a great Player. Second. Your beyond a great teacher. Thank you.
Ross I have seen your Mateus Asato vid, the phil x vid, and you play and teach them so well, good job! Keep on going man you are awsome and I learn a lot from
These vids
great lesson how you broke up the timing made it more easier to understand thank you for this video !!!!!!
JUST GREAT 👏
You explain the concept behind the licks, thats so important. THANKS 🙏
I'm an old guy now, but good god I wish I'd known someone like you years ago. You are thorough in a non-brain-exploding way and get some theory stuff out here to some of us who've never messed with it. I truly appreciate you. Thank you!
Great clear explanation of fast and furious playing broken down in a wonderfully methodical way! Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
One of the best teacher on YT. By the way i purchased one of ur lesson. Thanks so much for posting this lesson i loove it... Keep it coming... Ur the best man!
Since I’ve been loving you - led zep
Same key
Best Bonamassa lesson on UA-cam.
Keep doing more Bonamassa fora while dude. I can't imagine anyone could say they've mastered the Bon from one sweet run..
Excellent tutorial my friend, sounds exactly like Joe. Seen him last year in Fla. I highly recommend seeing him, he plays his heart out and is just a really nice person. Thank you, can't wait to grab my guitar and get into this ! 😎
Great lesson and excellent format. Playing it as you would play it first then breaking it down with tabs - keep it up and thank you!
Very nice lesson, Ross, really excellent instruction, and awesome execution! Super playing, thanks for posting, really great stuff!
This is Great! Literally the exact lesson I was looking for
awesome stuff. love the way you break it down into those subdivisions . thats the way i learned alot of srv. thanks ross finally learning some of joes lil tricks
Sir, you helped me in just 5 minutes. Thank you for being so humble, while being so helpful. I'm an old man and need all the help I can get.
I'm glad the video was helpful Michael, thank you!
I really enjoyed this. I thought I had JB's soloing pretty much down, but you really showed me the sauce! I hope you have more Bonamassa to jam too!
Dude, this is just what I've been looking for, thank you. I get these obsessions with guitar licks (i'm just getting over an EVH phase) and these picked pentatonic runs are what I'm gonna tackle next. My technique is shit and I have a lot of bad habits to change but here goes nothing. Subscribed. Cheers!
Fantastic! Look forward to doing the course. 👍
Excellent lesson ,need more of this type. Really Appreciable.
Nice lesson Ross!!! Just saw Joe at the palace theatre in Cleveland. Watt an experience!!!! Just amazing! I'm gonna have to work on this one soon!! Thanks your an amazing player and a great teacher!
Awesome tutorial!! thanks so much for sharing
This was pretty mind expanding. It took a while to get the phrasing into my head. Resting slightly on the second A# made a big difference. Yesterday had me wondering what I've been doing in 52 years as a player. But this morning I'm fairly fluent up to 200bpm. So it works! I'd be interested to try more exercises shifting between divisions.
bro your phrasing, touch, and dynamics are amazing.
Great video! It really helped my playing to try and learn this lick. Awesome!
Great playing man . Simply awesome ! Very good video .
Ross, you're great!! Clear, effective, useful. excellent guitarist and excellent teacher!
Terrific video...very useful stuff! Thanks and please keep it coming!
Ross, An excellent and enlightening video. You are living proof that even at a relatively young age you can achieve a very good standard of playing, a reflection of a lot of hard work no doubt, but the rewards are there for those who persist. I find the biggest inhibiter with guitar players is their lack of belief that they can play what at first may seem the impossible if they just work at it. You are an inspiration. Thank you.
this is an exceptionally great lesson !
and so is your playing and sound !!
...and your Les Paul is stunningly beautiful !!!
YOU ARE THE BEST ! All I needed. Great Thanks !
This is a really good lesson; It's in my queue to work on. Thank you.
this jist Fn' kills it on all levels ..thank you Sir Ross from an old 75 yr old blues player /drafted vietnam vet still riffing tnx for the tips
Nice playing fella! Great vid lesson, thanks.
Fantastic guitar playing, inspirational and no messing about. Great work.
Nailed it brother! I really like your style! Keep jamming and be blessed!
Ross, you are without a doubt the best guitar teacher on youtube. Incredible skills.
Great lesson, I stagnate sometimes in that pentatonic blues scale; this helped me break out of that box. Thank you.
Ross, this is a very great learning tutorial. Thank you!
This is great! Thanks for the help! One thought for others: I can't download this via RealPlayer so I'm gonna sit here and learn the entire solo by "rewinding" until I get it all "under my fingers". Rock on!
Love your channel. Great style of teaching. Good break down on theory, fingerings and style. No excess yammering on about some useless nonsense. Thanks.
Absolutely loved this! Thank you! Ive been playing many years but this was still incredibly helpful.
Glad to hear that. Thank you!
Really excellent man! Will give it a run through tonight. Cheers!
Thanks man
Right on!! Great lesson.
I've been playing a LONG time, but I don't know if you younger players know how fortunate you are to have for one, Joe Bonamassa to learn from and two, having someone like Ross to break it down for you, plus having youtube to be able to see what's going on. Great breakdown!
Great playing and great video lesson! 😊🎸😊👍👍
Just Awesome! Thanks a lot Ross!
Not in a million years did I think I could manage this but somehow, after a good 4-5 hours of practice, I've nailed it. Wow!.... it feels amazing to play! Trick is to start VERY slow and RELAX. A lesson for Blues Deluxe would be incredible. Is there a patreon tabbed version or lesson?
Right 4-5 hours of practice who are you the son of God ?
@@benwave no dickhead, he is a skilled player. Even great players don't just learn new styles or licks and nail it on the first pass, it takes some work. I don't think he meant he went from being unable to play at all to this.....you are a idiot
@@richardchase4019 He Stupid learn to read first before you make a fool out of yourself, It was my comment on Chris James Big DICKHEAD
@@benwave LMFAO.... WOW....right over your head....lol
To learn new licks you sometimes have to relearn or forget old ways of cascading scales
Great video! Well demonstrated with excellent descriptions!👍
YOUNG MAN!! Continue to knock it out of the park!!
Ross excellent instruction and playing. Cheers James.
This is a really helpful lesson. Well put together and executed dude.
Thanks
Awesome !!.. so clearly shown from a good heart ..
Excellent video! Thank you for sharing this!
stellar lesson and playing, too.
That's what exactly I wanted to have!!! Thank you so much for high quality lessons Ross :)
I just wanted to say thank you for putting this together. You are very kind to share this. Great lesson. I’m not even super familiar with Joe’s work but this is some great work on changing timing subdivisions which is a huge issue I have. Thanks again. I’ll continue perusing your channel and consider purchasing some lessons.
Thank you Blaine!
You break it down that it makes some sense, you've given me alot to work on. You make it look easy. Great lesson!!!
Thank you!
Ross, thanks for choosing to share insight into Joe Bonamassa’s technique. The 4 sections in this video are certainly the key elements that make Joe’s playing so recognizable. Another unique player to consider doing a technique lesson on would be Blues Saraceno. Keep up the great work. Thanks again for the lesson.
great vid thanks, great playing too
Very good lesson. Thanks!
I subscribed! I learned something. Great lesson. Thanks!
Great lesson and on Joe B. I watch a lot of his videos with him and Beth Heart. They are one heck Of a team when they are together. You are very good yourself. I'm past the beginners stage, about 12 to 13 months into my the
That's what I'm trying to learn, is the Blues.

Like your style of breaking it down. Subscribed
Best teacher on youtube by far.. and ive seen a lot! U can actualy take away from youre videos keep er lit ross!
Great video! Really like how you broke it down showing the different speed of notes and note groupings. Please make more. Would love to see a video on Mike Bloomfield, not really any good videos on his playing style. Thanks.
I haven't seen your video's before, but man am I glad I ran across you, this is just where I am now, need to move my playing up a couple of notches, speed has always been a problem for me to be able to play it that fast, guess its just more practice, will purchase your class, thanks, maybe you could touch on Eric Johnson just a little, as I hear a lot of his style in Joe's playing. Loved the blues you played at the start, would love to be able to play like that.
