Just bought a '23 Limited which is far more advanced than my first car, a '76 Plymouth Fury, and spent days trying to figure things out (old eyes can't read manuals). Wish I would have come across this video sooner. Helped a lot. Only thing I can't figure out is the speed warning. I live in a country where the limit is 140KPH between home and work and my truck keeps warning me at 120.

To adjust when you get speed limit warnings you’ll need to go into settings, then nnavigation settings then speed limits. From there you will be able to adjust the tolerance of when you receive a warning. It’s in the video starting at 17:22. Thanks for watching!

I just returned from a 1500 mile trip with my 2019 Ram with 12" screen. I have the 2016 maps dated 2017, which is what it was delivered with. The voice system for destinations is hopeless. For fun, try to go to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington DC; or "Washington District of Columbia"; or "DC". No matter what combo you try, it is an error since no state was mentioned. Likewise, "navigate to Waynesville, Virginia", or "Madison, Virginia", or "Culpeper, Virginia" all failed, but "Charlottesville, Virginia" worked. My voice is not peculiar. It's just an un-tested system. The only reason I may fork over the money for an update is to correct the outdated speed limits. The overall system is dysfunctional since it's impossible to accurately press a particular spot on the screen when you are bouncing around. Hit the wrong spot and you have to park to figure out how to restore your screen and kill the unwanted feature you accidentally hit. What is needed is either more knobs or a usable voice control system. Yeah, you can set the temperature with your voice, but you can't say, "set fan speed to 3" or a host of other oh-so-simple-to-program features. The most humorous encounter I have with it is when I say, "set source to USB". It tries to find a station called "USB". Then I say, "set source to auxilliary" and it responds, "setting source to USB". Duh! I'm a retired programmer and I can't stand inept code.

Thanks for the question. There are some hacks, but I can’t vouch for any of them. Best way to look them up is to do a google search for “hacks for watching Netflix on 2021 Dodge Ram 1500” and you’ll see a bunch of things pop up. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

I have a 2023 Ram 1500 Longhorn. I cannot figure out why the buttons around the infotainment screen and the steering wheel buttons are not lit during the day. Do you have or is there a way to get these buttons to be lit during the day?
The lights on those buttons come on with the headlights. So you could try turning on your headlights and see if that helps. Thanks for watching!

12" screen, how can i make the backup camera the whole screen?bottom Half comes up white which is too bright causing glare issues for checking mirrors, etc?
Unfortunately the backup camera does not fill the whole screen. What you can do is change what’s in the bottom part of the screen so it’s not so glaring. If you watch the video starting at 2:20, I show you how to do this. Thanks for watching!

Question i have 2019 and have a 8' screen that keeps resetting i was told the radio is going out would i be able to put a 12.1 from another truck
You should consult with your dealer on that.
I did they told me they never heard of anyone else radio doing that like they didn't care I got it used and it just started happening
You left out the temperature. Not sure at the top of the screen is gives a couple of temps. One says outside but is the other temp for the inside of the vehicle? When I hit my home tab i have it customized to show me the temp outside but then at the top as well it shows different temps. Is that the temp inside?
Not sure. I’ll have to look into that.
The different temps showing up on the top of the screen are your driver and passenger temperature settings from the climate control system. Thanks for watching!

Does anyone know if you can default the navigation screen to be the map view instead of the favorites/recent when in split screen? Without having to swipe every time you hit home that is.

Hey there, I swapped my battery, all lost all my settings and programming, for example event heated seats I do not have the passenger controls anymore also I used to have 3 setting for heat seat low med high, I lost he medium, I lost the cam and running board options etc...what do I do now... please help 2019 Limited.
Try resetting the system to its default settings, maybe that will reboot everything. Good luck!

Any luck on getting CarPlay to pop up it charges my phone but will not come up worked great for months tried different cables, resetting everything. Can’t find a fix
Thanks for the question. Here is one idea you could check on otherwise I would suggest it needs to be repaired under warranty. Delete you’re phone from the truck, and then delete any Bluetooth connection you may have had with the vehicle on your phone. Then try plugging it in via usb and see if that works. You must use a quality cable for data. Some cheaper cables are for charging only. Hope this works for you. I had the same issue and now it works.
Also, make sure projection manager is active on the apps.
Can you dim the screen? I’m trying to find out if you can dim it as the screen is so bright

I found accessories power mode is done by pressing start button without pressing on the brake....
I just got a 2021 ram rebel a few months ago, it seems that AT&T has discontinued wifi services for uconnect and there doesnt seem to be a working solution, which is disappointing , otherwise everything about these truck are awesome
Disappointing yes, but you could still use your personal hotspot on your cell phone if you need an Internet signal.
Still don't know how to dim the NAV screen at night. It stays very bright.
Thanks for the question. There should a dial next to or around the headlight switch that you can rotate to change the brightness or you can view all apps under settings, then click on display and from there you can also adjust the screen brightness. Thanks for watching!

Below your infotainment screen is a button that’s says Tow/Haul. Press once to engage, press again to disengage.

Can Apple Music be full screen?
Thanks for the question. No. The Apple CarPlay screen cannot be made full screen. You can use the swap button to move it between the upper or lower portion of the screen but that is all. Navigation is the only app I know of that can be made full screen. Thanks for watching!
@@TwoGuysandaRide did you hear of people having their backup screens being in full mode? Bought a 2020 rebel back in aug 2022. Had the backup cam in fullscreen mode up until this wk. was wondering what i did wrong but apparently i was never supposed to have it according to some people in Ram forum.
@@dfin100 we have heard of this same issue, however no solutions for fixing it. It has been suggested that only early models had this issue. It’s possible that it was in some type of service mode for the dealership that allowed that full screen view, but it was designed to be only part screen, so some kind of glitch or special mode for the dealership would be our best guess.
