Here are some hidden features from an actual RAM owner: 1. If you long-press voice button on the steering wheel it will give you Siri / Google Assistant (depending on what phone you have) but short press gives you Uconnect voice control to do things like change satellite radio station. 2. If auto wipers are enabled the speed selected is the "minimum" speed the wipers will move at. If set to the lowest speed with auto wipers on they will actually turn themselves off when there is no rain. 3. You can enable auto ebrake in settings and the parking brake will set it's self when you shift into park. When you shift into drive or reverse if you hold your foot on the break an extra second the truck will auto disengage the brake as well.
these are great features too, thanks for sharing experience, the first two have been available since 2014 Ram #2 auto wipers will auto shut off at any speed of the variable wipers, as long as its not regular slow speed or Fast speed
Best truck I've ever owned period. Traded in my 2019 F150 Platinum and bought a 2019 Ram Laramie. Ford couldn't fix the dead miss on the Ford's 3.5 Ecoboost.
Ecoboost is great in my experience, had a 2nd gen Raptor with 88K HARD driven miles. Went platinum F350 & F150 Coyote never gonna look another direction. Massage seats/360 cam etc I love the tech/power that no other brand could offer. Gonna send the ½ ton to Manuel at Midnight Performance for a drop in turbo kit to run low 9's
Everyone overlooks that there are rails along the side of the inside of the center console that will allow you to put hanging file folders. Super convenient if you work out of your truck or as a place to keep receipts for expenses
2019 Limited, there are two 110 plugs in the console, one in the rear and one in the front. Also with the projector headlights they turn with the steering wheel.
The rear cupholders on the center console also have a groove across the middle. It's made to fit a tablet so kids in the back can watch a tablet without holding it.
he forgot to mention that in the lower center consul is also a hanging folder rail for documents. Also forgotten was the rear compartment are also doubling as "ice buckets" for beverages.
I'm not sure if the rear "hidden floor" compartments on the one you showed has removable bin liners. We just bought a 2019 Ram and they made point to show us how they can be used as small ice chests for cold drinks. An additional feature, not on all, is the button on the roof, by the garage door opener, that opens the power rear window.
You can also set it to set the parking brake each time it goes in park. Then if you have your seatbelt on it will release it automatically also when switched out of Park.
additional items, drivers side and rear view mirror dimmer, tilting mirrors in reverse for when you have to parallel park or see space lines, additional storage divider under the rear seats that folds out.
I got 2019 Laramie-longhorn-best truck ever owned-just ungraded trailer-tow mirrors to power fold. Got 5940 miles on it. Low cause I ride my gold wing trike.
A few things: on number two with the parking brake, you don't need to set the parking brake system because there is a built in safety feature so if you keep the truck in drive and open the door, as soon as the truck starts to move at all, the transmission automatically shifts into park for you. On number 4, you should also mention there is a tape measure on the side of the RamBin. If you catch a fish or need something small to measure you can use that as a measuring devise. One you didn't mention and I've not seen anyone pick up on - look at the sun visors and there is a paperclip magnet holder. Cheers.
One you forget to talk about is when the key FOB does not work right you can place the FOB one the start button and push in with foot on brake and the truck will start.
Mine was at a super curve and I was like tf Took me a few days but u just push it all the way back and will reset Then just push it forward how u want or dont
Just a friendly suggestion, you may think of showing which flaps and gadgets you’re talking about as you are looking through the console etc. you did post pictures after but it is helpful to see what you are referring to as you dig into it. Thank you for the video!!
I’ll have to check out; we have new one, month now and it’s a fine machine. 2019 5.7 liter hemi 1500 Laramie is in our driveway. I like driving it. Full sunroof etc
small drawback is, new style radio and SiriusXM satellite radio only holds 10 favorite artist/songs in its memory.. all previous 8.4 generation radios had 50+ for me this is a big deal... maybe not for others...

I have the basic 2019 Ram 1500. My CD player is located under the center console making it unusable if I have a third person in the front seat second if i excess the CD player I must remove the any cups, or soda cans to get to it
Didn’t mention that the self parking break works alongside your sit belt censor, sit censor and door censor, if you open the door while still on D but have your sit belt on and the car can tell you are on the sit it will not activate the parking break.
thank you for this info, that is very important... i was thinking about that while watching the video, "what happens if you want to back up with the door open?" like your watching for obstacles or backing up a small trailer etc. lots of reasons of why you would want to back up with the door open.
i have a 2019 limited , i really think this is the best truck i’ve owned. the only small disappointment thing i’ve experienced is that i just purchased an apple 10xr phone and purchased a case with it ..with the case the Ramcharger doesn’t charge this phone nor does it not charge my granddaughters same phone with an otter box cover. i went to my ram dealer service manager and he said that it a very common problem. to me it is not big deal , any suggestions?
I have one of the very first ones ever sold. I have charged numerous phones, ALL with cases, to include otterbox just fine. Here's the secret. The phone must be laying in landscape mode, with the top of the phone pointed to the left, and the entire phone pushed as far left as possible. It must also be pushed down so it is held tightly by the built in holders. It WILL charge then. Any other configuration other than what I just listed will not work!
Have a 2019 Laramie and it’s a great truck. Anyone else have issues with the side windows getting extremely dirty from wipers pushing the water and dirt to the side?
Actually there is one thing your video did make me say hmm and test out in my Longhorn edition that has all the features featured. The E-brake. I have mine set like in the video and it does what you said. I didn’t know that. What annoyed me about the feature was launching my SeaDoo and thinking I had to belt up to move. Thanks to your video, I figured out how to move by pushing the E-brake lever. Faster and I don’t have to belt up just to move 5 feet. Thanks for that.
Not all limiteds have all the options either. Limited should be a standard with having every option. I have a fully loaded and I mean fully loaded I have every feature ram offers in my limited LongHorn edition my interior is sick.
Chris Brannon I bought it with 14000 miles used for $27000 I bought it from Enterprise they sell their trucks and cars after they get 10000 miles or so on them. Love the truck and with the 5.7 hemi I get 23 miles a gallon on the highway. Pulling a trailer it drops to 19. Not bad for a 4x4
Nice vid, but need your help w/the auto-tilt mirrors. They tilt toooo far where I only see ground. Can't figure it out & dealerships are absolutely NO Help. Even had to show a couple salesmen where they were wrong about a couple features. Thnx & keep the vids comin
and there should be something to stop auto tilting mirrors while reversing a trailer... its such a pain turning the feature off in a ton of settings screens just to back up a trailer... tilting mirrors can not be used when backing up trailers
Tilting mirrors will not tilt if the mirror switch rests in the center. If you leave the control to the side, they tilt. Adjustment isn’t on the screen, I don’t think.
They tilt to show you the curb or the line in the parking stall. Supposed to help you back along a curb and get really close to it etc. Not so you can see behind you. That's also why I don't use them.
Something most people dont know about the ramcharger thing is that when dodge first started making their srt cars or any of there more sportier trim models the groups original name was ramchargers
Love my Dodge RAM Limited. Only one bad I've found,,,,,we live in Florida where the sun shines almost all the time. The RAM has a nice big (I believe 10" center console screen, however, Dodge has chosen to use the color royal blue to use as a distance to destination (among a few other messages). The royal blue does not show in the sunshine unless you bend over at the waiste to get your face in front of the screen. Very dangerous while driving. Once close enough to your destination, the U-Connect (mine's name is Daisy for obvious reasons), the info does appear on the driver console in front of me I want to change the color on the big center console that has various info in blue. Anyone know if I can change that dumb color? I really don't care for any of the other choices for setting up the image or whatever it's called.

Depending on engines and gear ratios there are quite a different amount of Towing abilities. I have not found one salesman that I've talked to that knows these differences.
I understand that it’s a safety feature, someone probably opened their door and fell out of the truck and ran themselves over at some point. I find it aggravating sometimes while I’m backing a trailer I like the convenience of opening the door and looking back in certain situations. I wish it was a way to bypass it at times.
@@bluebellharleyrider I don't understand. Are the mirrors inadequate, broken, or missing? I've never tried to back a trailer while hanging out of the truck looking backwards, seems like a good way to win a Darwin award.
When you open the door while the vehicle is in motion the e-break will automatically apply itself.. how’s that a hidden feature again ?????????????????????????
The price of the vehicle isn’t really relevant in this type of video. I’m not sure exactly what this specific vehicle was but the Limited trim starts around $52,995.
These are advertised features, nothing hidden about them. For anyone that researches before they buy and/or reads an owner's manual, you'll find no surprises in how any of the Ram's operate. Oh, and the RamCharger is just that...the obvious name for the Ram wireless charger. The throwback reference was a BIG reach because talking about the tow hooks would have been even more obvious.
I was driving my new Ram Bighorn on the freeway. I had to unbuckle the seatbelt to open the door to spit something I hacked up. The truck locked up all four tires and went to the park position. Tires are ok and the traction control worked pretty good but it busted my head on the door panel and the transmission suddenly uninstalled itself from the truck as I was skidding down the freeway... it also now has a service engine light illuminated. Go figure...
Calm down already. I was a obvious mistake, no big deal. How about you practice making a few review videos and see how they match up. Yeah, didn't think so.
Not gonna lie, love the RAM. However the aluminum body F150 in Iowa is a major win for rust. Not to mention that F150 holds its value for resale better as well. 2 big reasons I chose it. RAM is nice though!
I hate to break it to any of you but nobody is dropping 50k plus on this truck and using that tape measure or any of that other shit except the gun box in the floor!!
Holy crap! He didn't tell us about that hidden feature! lol. I just got the 2020 Ram bighorn with the 5.7 Hemi and 3:92 gear ratio. Not the boosted one. But I'm just hitting 300 miles and getting 14 to 15 and hoping after it's broken in it does a little better!
Hidden feature number 6, after about 5 years, or as soon as the warranty is up and you reach 75,000 miles, every gadget or fancy electrical device on the Ram will break! Dodge has a horrible reliability record as far as the electrical stuff goes!! Sure the diesel Ram trucks are great, engine wise, but anything electrical..A/C, power options..good luck!
I've had my Ram for 7 yrs and 107K miles. Other than replacing the brakes 3 months ago and replacing shocks, struts, and tires, I have zero complaints.
My 03 had 200k no electronic problems, traded it in 2010 for a gmc. Leaked everything, in 2yrs they changed oil pan gasket, radiator, rear end seal, transfer case and head gasket.
Mine went 386000 k without an issue other than the normal stuff. Bought the 2019 as a replacement for my 2008 . I got 10 great years from my first hope to get ten from this one
Honestly, back in 2009 people said the same thing about Ram. It just takes a while to adjust. They have to keep things fresh or they become Tundras with zero innovation for decades.
I have had 4 rams,a 06,07 ,11 and now have a 20 bighorn and they have always been very good trucks and get better with each generation,,,Far better than ford or GM!!!!
I can't find a single "cheaply" built part on my 2019 Ram. Owned for over 2 years now. I also owned a 2012 Fiat that I put 195k miles on in 5 years. Neither vehicle has seen the dealership outside of normal routine maintenance. And there's no Fiat parts on the RAM, I can attest to that.
I just traded my 2007 Ram in. 13 years, only recall was for the airbags. I changed batteries, an alternator, and tires. Never once left me on the side of the road. 2007 Laramie to a 2019 Laramie is night and day.
Really good video, thanks!
Thanks for watching, David!

On the sun visors there are small plastic clips that have a pic of a paper clip that you can use to hold paperwork DMV Docs. etc.

My 14 has the second hidden feature only difference is that mine just goes into park not parking brake
#6 u can set the mirrors to auto tilt when u put it into reverse so u can see lines backing into parking spots
It’s a great feature
I used it on my Grand Cherokee too.
Funny, I actually turned that feature off as it annoyed me.
That is the worst
How to set it up?
Lot of carry over from my 2014 Laramie. Which I like because it makes me want to get another one.

They are in plain sight but I've not heard anybody mention the cool tie-down hooks next to the hidden floor bins in the backseat
Also the bins are removable and hold water - great to fill with beveridge and ice for short trips to the beach.
22" tires are they good to go on a beach Low profile And can I put regular tires on a 22" rim 1500 ram series
22" rims have zero benefit on a truck besides looks. They weigh more, have smaller sidewall tires to compensate for their height and reduce ride quality. Driving on sand requires a wide tread which you can add too by deflating the tires down to about 15 psi. However: with the weight of these trucks you are likely to pop the bead on the tire at those pressures. So momentum is your best friend in that situation.

Why do you keep calling the truck a car?
I was driving my new Ram Bighorn on the freeway. I had to unbuckle the seatbelt to open the door to spit something I hacked up. The truck locked up all four tires and went to the park position. Tires are ok and the traction control worked pretty good but it busted my head on the door panel and the transmission suddenly uninstalled itself from the truck as I was skidding down the freeway... it also now has a service engine light illuminated. Go figure...
Oh man... that sounds awful, hope you’re ok! It definitely shouldn’t engage at freeway speeds
I use bins like an ice chest. Keep my sodas or beers cold.
Nice! Thinking outside the bins 😉
They are removable so ice & your favorite beverage?!
Great video, I don't own or planning on owning one of these.
sucks to be you :)
Why be here or even comment on it? Seems like you wasted your time.
You can enjoy from afar!
Mine lets me drive with the door open
@ 6:30------DWI Boxes
I’ve put many of beers and ice in my boxes and u can dill small hole for draining 😎😎
My 2019 ram 1500 classic doesn’t have those special features
😞
Hidden feature...water leaks into your cabin floor
LOL!!! I needed that!!!
It's a "TRUCK" not a car! BIG DIFFERENCE!
That's true. Good point!
Calm down already. I was a obvious mistake, no big deal. How about you practice making a few review videos and see how they match up. Yeah, didn't think so.
Such a beautiful truck...
Wish I had the doe for one...
"the doe"? I think they only accept Male rabbits and deer. Kind of sexist, but what can you do?
@@rsg1963
That and maybe a kidney or two...
Not gonna lie, love the RAM. However the aluminum body F150 in Iowa is a major win for rust. Not to mention that F150 holds its value for resale better as well. 2 big reasons I chose it. RAM is nice though!
Holds its value better , but cost more to begin with soooooo....
Randy Vanness um what!?!? Where the **** are you shopping?!?? Ram is the same price if not more for equal models.
Am i the only one DYING to click that link?
Dooooo itttt☺️
I hate to break it to any of you but nobody is dropping 50k plus on this truck and using that tape measure or any of that other shit except the gun box in the floor!!
Hah, believe it or not, that little tape measure got me out of a $1000 pinch last second measurement. I said the same thing when I bought the truck.
How much for the truck?
I’m not sure exactly what this specific vehicle was but the Limited trim starts around $52,995.
RAM REBEL TRX... HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES
RAM REBEL TRX-👍
Mike, it's not normal to check other men out to that extent. Does you significant other leave the toilet seat up all the time?
Got 2019 ram last time checked 8.5 mpg in town
My 2019 Ram 1500 4x4 Limited gets 14 city, 18 highway. Don't know how you get numbers that low unless you are standing still.
Just 1 lottery win away
a waste of time ...
I fail to see "hidden features"
If you own this Ram 1500, I don't see how you wouldn't notice any of these features
Thanks for checking out the video, John.
Dodge owners need all the help they can get 😅
RAMCHARGERS
Too much talking. And the Park is a safety feature not a convenience thing!
I don’t think there was enough talking! I’ll add more next time
Louisville! lol
Go Cards 🔴⚫️
You should become a professional speaker or commentator .... seriously
🤣 Thanks for checking out the video, Frank!
Ram. Recalls A. Must
Ford is the King of recalls, but yeah Ram and Chevy sure have their share too.
I have 14 recalls on my 2014 Ram Limited mega cab dually
Owned a Limited since June 2018, 19K miles, one miner recall, zero issues. Love the truck.
None of the features are “hidden”. Click bait
Just because you knew about them Anthony, doesn’t mean everyone does. Thanks for stopping by!
Most of these are actually hidden and not described well in the manual.
Good thing I got a 120 months/100,000 mile warranty lol
I've had my Ram for 7 yrs and 107K miles. Other than replacing the brakes 3 months ago and replacing shocks, struts, and tires, I have zero complaints.
My 03 had 200k no electronic problems, traded it in 2010 for a gmc. Leaked everything, in 2yrs they changed oil pan gasket, radiator, rear end seal, transfer case and head gasket.
@@carriehill2692 Yup. Should have stayed with Ram, huh?
Mine went 386000 k without an issue other than the normal stuff. Bought the 2019 as a replacement for my 2008 . I got 10 great years from my first hope to get ten from this one
None of those are "hidden"
I beg to differ! Thanks for stopping by, John!
Dislike
I don't like it it doesn't really look like Ram anymore
Honestly, back in 2009 people said the same thing about Ram. It just takes a while to adjust. They have to keep things fresh or they become Tundras with zero innovation for decades.
Joey James I get what ur saying that bulky big rig look an grill only a man could love
Thanks for wasting my time for nothings 😑
Glad you are well informed! Thanks for checking out the video!
Ram fiat junk very cheap parts still junk always will b
Thanks for checking out the video, JD!
interesting. not according to Motor Trend Magazine. Truck of the year, 2 years running now.
Thank you for this, my 19 Ram has none of these features
🤘🏼🤘🏼
That is UNFORTUNATE, Toecutter!
