Hi, it's gona be a longer one... but it's my first comment so be patient with me :) and I'll still try to make it short. Maybe You are "the world's worst milionair in trainig"... but, the content you make, is a different univers, that has influenced me. Not only in the truth about the amount of drinking coffee... since I started, I'm brewing my coffee in 4 different ways... not at onec... does'nt mastter... I like coffee... but I like wood. But far more important was the video "New Life" posted 4 month's ago...it made me realize a lot of things. For most I love my kid's and wife... but in my 39 years of life, I never did something for me, or realised any of my goals. It would be a long story, but simply to put it, belive, me... as a healing workaholic, I only made what was expected of me. And in the last Year, Mark and Your channel made my heart work a bit different, it gave me some lil amount of dopamine... a belife I cane do something I like. And it's hard... I mean, I do it only at night's in my garage, where the temperature is slightly higher the that outside, and haveing a stray cat-companion. But I like it. Since the 3 months I started I made maybe 3 small project's. But they are my scale of succes, and a proof I finaly can creat something with my own hand's, and not hear the evel whisper in the back of my head: "... still you owe it to..."... So maybe now, since the crisys continues, and my worke place is in danger, I'll try to learn as much as possible to learn the idea of "joining peaces of wood to other peaces of wood"... and create. This video and Your thout's gave me the power and will to go in my shops today - after a week's break - and get motivated. And I'll start by organizeing my 16m2 meters of workaspace and finaly build my workbench.. gonna make pictures and record it... dont know if I ever post it enywere or use it... but I'll try and learn... hope to feel some more dopamine in the future.. Thank You Jesper and wish You all the best in the started 2024. Hope my 40th year on this planet will allowe me to be a woodworker.
Hey, thanks for taking the time for such a heartfelt comment. It's amazing to hear how my channel and, of course, coffee, have positively impacted you. Keep up the woodworking, especially in those late-night garage sessions. Your projects are your success stories, and each piece is a step towards fulfilling your dreams. Keep brewing both coffee and creativity! ☕🛠️
Nicely said! You too seem to be 'on the level' in terms of being and recognizing the magnificence that resides in humans. I can honestly say that I too have been moved by both these inspirational and capable men and am for the first time in a LONG time excited about what my future can potentially look like in terms of finding my own 'niche' in this beautiful world called woodworking! I've just recently lost my job and have been in a bit of a funk due to lack of purpose and direction at the ripe old age of 43. I can't possibly describe the feeling I've got right now thanks to Jesper, Mark and yourself. Thanks for sharing the kind words and genuine sentiments. Your post was the proverbial icing on the cake this past few hours/series of videos was for me! And thank you Jesper for your generosity in sharing your knowledge with the rest of us! I can't wait to go find some more pallets tomorrow!! 😊 🙏🏽✌🏽
@@MikeJones-jj7pf wish you all the best in that woodworking nich. Hope You’ll reach you’re goals and satisfaction in that sphere. Good luck palett hunting :)
@Drwal_1984, You are well on your way to becoming an excellent woodworker. You are curious, determined and willing to look for help. Good luck! I hope woodworking brings you much joy and self satisfaction!
Greed... it flourishes everywhere. A guy gets called dumb because he freely gives away his designs, something we need more of in this world, NOT the opposite.
You won't get shit from my autistic ass anymore the military stole from me thanks to my godfather Bob others have stolen from me and my friends you won't take from my community anymore you normal people are pos you won't steal from us don't pay us then you get hacked I wonder y you are all on you're own now
nah. Sharing freely might be good at first, but when people gradually get used to receiving it for free, they'll get addict and want more. Sharing is good, but there should be a limit, to make people move on their own.
This is the first video I have ever seen of your channel and I was thinking, oh silly man makes a giant pine cone. I was wrong, silly man make a beautiful light that I love and now I want that laser cutter when I don’t even know what I’m doing. I’ll go back to my crochet videos now but seriously, you are very talented. Thank you for brightening my day, with ❤ from Texas.
If you have a Dremel type tool, you can use a router tip to cut things out the way these CNC and box laser cutters do. Takes longer, your hand gets shaky from the vibration. And, the level of satisfaction from making it by hand is off the charts. Easier than crochet, especially easier than crocheted i-cord and Tunisian crochet. You got this! 👍
Many libraries have Maker Spaces where you can learn to use 3d printers, sewing machines, and some even have these laser cutters. I work at a school, so have access to a laser cutter there, as well (as long as I provide the materials). Perhaps there is some sort of club or other maker space in your area?
Jesper, you and Mark inspired me to try! Over the summer of 2023, I made a pallet wood veneer storage table! It’s not perfect and I learned a ton! I’m planning 2 projects this summer! Thank you and Mark both for Just Getting Me Started! 🤟🤟🤟
My wife sent me this video and asked me to watch it. I've been having some...issues in my current career, something I've been doing for most of my life. It's stopped being my passion and it's becoming a drain. I get why she sent me this. I hear her. And I hear you, Jesper. Thank you.
I'm truly moved by your message. It's never easy to confront feelings of dissatisfaction in one's career. Remember, it's never too late to pursue a path that reignites your passion. Your wife's support is precious, and I'm glad my video could play a part in your reflection. Wishing you all the best as you navigate this transition.
You have the discipline to go to your shop and create every day, but you’re also funny and good at editing. A true artist with a great personality! This was my first video and I really enjoyed it.
That's not just great advice for woodworkers, it's great advice for any maker. Another possibility to keep in mind is to take a look if you have a local makerspace near you and use their stuff for your projects.
Absolutely, that's solid advice for all makers. Local makerspaces are great resources for trying out different tools and techniques.

Hello Jesper, Your imagination is always wonderful. An amazing project with a laser engraving and cutting machine. This lamp is truly amazing. I love your friendship with Mark. It makes me happy that we have mutual friends. I watch your videos whenever I have time. Keep up the great work. I'm proud of your success. All the best. Keep going buddy. Big greetings. Your friend Mehmet
Mehmet, your kind words mean a lot! Mark and I appreciate our friendship too. Thank you for taking the time to watch and for your continuous support. Greetings from here to you, my friend!
Hi jasper, im a 21 year old guy from sweden. Just found your channel today and i love it haha. I have close to zero knowledge when it comes to woodworking but i have been obsessed with it for a while. I live in a apartment in the city so its kinda hard to play around with it, but my ambition is to have a place kinda like yours in the future. I just watched your newest video where you used alot of woodpalets and its very comforting to see that you can make so much with so little. Respect to you!
Hej! Thanks for the love from Sweden! It's awesome to hear from someone at the beginning of their woodworking journey. Don’t worry about starting small; even a small balcony or corner can be turned into a workshop with a bit of creativity. Keep dreaming big, and thanks for subscribing!
What inspires me the most is that you are probably not further away than a hours drive from where I am sitting right now. You have the same access to the tools/equipment as I have, same probable opportunities. You are a true inspiration to makers. Also not the "worst millionaire in training" you have as I write this = 201K subscribers just over 1/5th of a million and that is significant!! Unless if you are talking about monetary million!!! I guess it is a race... and I am rooting for you
That's incredibly motivating to hear, especially knowing we're so close by! It's all about using what we have and making the most of it. Thanks for the support, and yes, it's a race of sorts, but one where we all win by creating and sharing.
Thanks to you and Mark I have started my journey as well. My first project was a failure, but I have learned from it. Will be starting my next project soon.
Thanks for reminding me that I should just start where I am, and work with what I've got. It's all about the personal journey, not about what anybody else may think of it. After all, we are all the only thinker in our own head. ❤ from the Netherlands
Ahvinju, that's exactly the spirit! Starting where you are with what you've got is the essence of creativity. Thank you for the love from the Netherlands, and remember, your journey is uniquely yours.
Your charisma is off the charts, a very enjoyable video. Thank you for the encouragement of staying persistent and applying our self to the trade. I work from a supply of heat treated Italian Cypress, and I struggle with ideas and their intimidation.
The best part of your videos is the humour and the story telling. Even if someone doesn't care about wood working, I can guarantee that they'll still enjoy watching your videos :)
Just found your channel and have to say I really enjoyed it. I don't do a lot of wood working but found the content very easy and enjoyable to digest. The message was clear and very informative, thank you and I look forward to watching more....
Welcome to the channel, Dan! I'm thrilled to hear you're enjoying the content, even if you're not big into woodworking. Looking forward to sharing more with you.
COOL!!! Love the Lamp!!! I used to build and design furniture/equipment for severely disabled kids, only because what they sold in catalogs were so expensive, and we’d look at some of the things and say, we could do that. I worked in a school district and budgets were always tight for certain programs. We didn’t make anything fancy, and used regular plywood for a time, after we’d gotten a little better at some of the projects we undertook, we moved up to birch. It was always fun creating, and doing things that helped kids with their challenges. And glad to say, never sawed off a finger, though I did staple my thumb. Ouch.
Yes, the lamp is super-cool, for sure, but have I told you lately how much I love that dog-holed workbench?! Masterpiece. I like your version of Dainer's "just get started," and I'm definitely going to take to heart your "be dumb (and stubborn)" exhortation. Those two traits come fairly naturally to me! I've had a super-cheap cnc (non-laser) new in its box for a few years now (no space to set it up), and I'm hoping to make it part of my getting-better-with-what-I've-got goals for this year. Cheers, as always, to ya!
I started watching and I was like "Eh, I already saw this one, why is it on my list again" and then I realized that I only saw the first 4 minutes of it last year! So you listened to us and finished it! And finished the lamp! It turned out perfect! Thank you for giving me laughs and smiles every time I see any of your videos. Your humor is very close to my heart and warming! I wish you made the content a little more often! But I know myself how tedious it is. I am woodworking myself (for our house and friends, as a hobby in my tiny garage) and so far I have already made dozens of projects and filmed three, but haven't published a single video. Simply no time for editing 🤷♂️
I'm glad to hear you came back to finish watching! It's always great to bring laughs and smiles to viewers. I understand the challenge of editing and publishing content - it's a big task, especially with woodworking as a hobby. Keep at it, and who knows, maybe one day you'll share your projects with the world too!
Jesper, I've been watching your videos for a little while now and I have to say you and @dainermade have inspired me so much. Recently discovered I love working with wood and I just cleaned out my shed and built up my own tiny little workshop. Starting with projects around that yard that seem achievable with the hope of building 1 sellable item this year. Thank you for being both entertaining and informative. Keep sending me more motivation!!
That's fantastic to hear! Cleaning out your shed to build your own workshop is a big step. Starting with projects around the yard is a great way to begin. Thrilled to be part of your inspiration, and remember, one sellable item is just the beginning of your woodworking journey!
Thank you so very much for the free download!! That is very generous of you! I haven't got the skill to make anything yet, so I really do appreciate what maybe a quick win, especially with my wife, who is not very pleased that I have purchased a laser cutter!
My father is Danish and your advice, and the blunt way it was delivered, reminded me so much of him! Thank you for the memory boost ❤. And I love your lamp.
So happy to hear that the video brought back memories of your father. The Danish blunt yet heartfelt advice is something I treasure. Thanks for loving the lamp and sharing your story.
Hey Jesper, Thank you so much for the time you take to put these awesome videos and stories together, they are not only entertaining but inspiring! Thank you so much!
@JesperMakes you are very inspiring person, and it is always a treat to see what stuff you can get up to in your shop... I mean Horse Barn! Keep it rolling! We will all be here to support you!
Thanks for the kind words and support! It's always exciting to see what I can come up with in the shop - or the Horse Barn, as you rightly put it! Your support means the world to me.
Loved this video. You're such a down to earth kinda guy with the perfect attitude toward woodworking. I've been running a woodworking business by myself for almost 9 years now and in these past couple years just started making videos on my work. You'll definitely be on the list on channels I watch in my extremely limited downtime. Can't wait to check out more!
Inspirational and informative. The lamp looked really cool you did an amazing job on figure out how to use the laser and produce something so awesome. Deep up the great work Jasper I thoroughly enjoyed the video. Free plans I think that is fantastic. We give away everything we don't need never looking for anything in return. Stay true to yourself as we will. Free is because so much more comes from the positive vibration of giving with no expectation or receiving. 😊
Thanks for the motivation !!! Loving your down to earth attitude and desire to make things, I'm still stuck in my full time job presently but I am determined to make a go online... it's just gonna take me a bit and I'm ok with that. Thanks again for sharing your time, skills, and knowledge.... now where's that laughing emoji 🤣🤣🤣 Seriously, many many thanks !!!
You just gave me hope. I’m struggling with the knowledge and confidence to get started. I seem to mess things up pretty easily. After watching this it made my heart happy and the will too not give up. Thank you 😊🙏🏼👍🏻
Jesper you’re the man! This was so good. You’re a storytelling genius. But to be real this was very encouraging. My last video kinda tanked after sinking another 100+ hrs into it between the build and the edit and my next one doesn’t quite have a story yet. But I literally got a comment on that video today after 3 weeks of radio silence that just says “incredible work. Keep going bro”. So between that and you, I’m gonna keep going, bro. 🤣
Jesper, you and Mark are my two favourite woodworkers on youtube. Love the unpretentious down to earth content, don't stop. Oh and the lamp, its fantastic 👌👌
Hey Jesper, you and Mark have been a huge inspiration for me from across the world. Your message here about using what you have and evolving on your personal journey holds true for all in any walk of life. I too love pallets and am a maker who does what he feels he needs to do in the shop and not just what someone wants me to do. Do it for the love of it, nothing else matters!
@@rarecraftsman Thank you! I really appreciate the compliment! I love doing what I do, just wish I had more time to do it. Holding down a full time job, two outstanding daughters who are talented and involved in so many things outside of school certainly keeps me busy! I will check out your channel also!
Thanks for the kind words! It's all about using what you have and following your passion. Your approach to woodworking is inspiring. Keep making what you love!
That lamp is beautiful! Nice work. I actually like the charred edges! The contrast makes each part stand out. You're an inspiration. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and talent.
I’ve been a lighting designer for 30 years, I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve been asked to copy a Poulsen artichoke fixture. Making one for yourself will probably go unnoticed by the Louis Poulsen foundation, selling them for a while might work out for you too. Be prepared for the cease and desist letter. Be prepared for the copyright lawsuit. It’s not a matter of “if” it’s a matter of “when” they go after you.
David, thank you for sharing your experience and advice. It's important to be aware of intellectual property and copyright issues, especially in creative fields. I appreciate the heads up! This design, however, is no way near the Artichoke, so I'm not worried.
Copyright is just for words, songs, etc. To own the rights to design you need to be granted a patent design application by the Patent office. To get a patent design one must be the very first person to create that design. I hardly think that a cone shape would qualify for a grant. done too many times. Good luck Jesper, we all love you. You sir are not dumb ❤Love from Australia.
@@LorraineHatrix I tried patenting some ideas I had a few years back now, and they don't really give patents for that anymore in Canada anyways. they do however build a portfolio and submit to ( In Canada 120.000 companies.) wood working companies. Should said companies build your product you receive royalties per unit made.
@JesperMakes it's a pine cone lamp😊, not an artichoke lamp😊 . Bet you can make cool wooden Christmas 🎄 ornaments with the 3-D laser 👍 I recommend the ytube channel Bushradical he is from the US and makes all kinds of stuff. Lots of little cabins 👍
It's really kind and generous of you to give the plans away for free. I don't have a laser cutter but if I get one you can guarantee I'll be downloading the plans and donating 👍👍
Russell, I'm glad you appreciate the free plans! Hopefully, you get that laser cutter soon. Your support and willingness to donate are much appreciated!
Great video. Now I want to make a small version, fill it with resin and throw it on the lathe. Hmmmm. Thanks for following thru with the video. I was intrigued when you posted the teaser. Great watch. Love the humor as always. Hope you have a great day! 🤣
Thanks for making another entertaining video ! The lamp looks great. I don't know much about laser cutters but you said that one could do really thin metal. I bet that lamp design would look good with aluminum leaves also.Keep up the good work !
Thanks for the suggestion! Aluminum leaves could indeed add a unique touch to the lamp. Exploring different materials is always exciting. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Hey, I’m so glad to see you’re back! Been waiting for this video for a long time. I think the lamp design is awesome. Keep up the great work and never stop posting.👍👌
I'm honored to hear that our channels have reignited your passion for woodworking. Storytelling and project sharing are what it's all about. Thank you for your support!
Hi Jesper from Vancouver Island Canada. I have watched many of your videos, some several times now. Simply amazing pieces of art you have compiled here. Just outstanding! Bravo!! I am a newbie content creator. I am really enjoying the process of all the joy and frustration I get from learning how to make videos, and hopefully I learn through trial and error on how to make each one more engaging, entertaining and fun to watch. The thing that engages me about your content is it's not about the item you are making, you weave an entertaining storyline into your videos. The item you are working on, or building, almost seems secondary to your story telling. This is where I think I need some advice and some help to reach a new level with my videos. I'm wondering... I'd like to learn more about how to tell a story, or at least get better at it, like you do so well! Is there any course on skill share, or do you have any suggestions, or advice that could help me with story telling? Thanks Jesper and looking forward to more of your content, Cheers Paul.
Hi Paul, thanks for the kind words! Storytelling is indeed a key part of engaging content. My advice is to focus on what interests you most about your projects and try to convey that passion to your audience. As for courses, there are many on Skillshare and UA-cam about storytelling and video production. Keep experimenting and learning, and you'll find your unique voice. Good luck with your journey in content creation!
Thank you for sharing this fun, informative and inspiring video. You have a great sense of humor, which I enjoy. I don’t know how people can live without one, I can’t. I’ve always wanted to do woodworking but never had the opportunity or place to do it. I plan on changing that this summer. 🤣🤦🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️👍🏼Fran in Tennessee
Fran, it's wonderful to hear you're inspired to start woodworking this summer. Humor makes every journey better. Can't wait to hear about your creations!
While I was kid, I was impressed by the woodwork I would see in the DIY monthly magazine my father was buying. I always wanted to do something like that, but my father strangely enough wouldn't allow me to use his tools, and later on my life simply went in totally different way. But well, life is sometimes quite strange, and after almost forty years, I've met a guy who has a kind of small workshop which he has abandoned, with all kinds of different projects he started and never finished. I saw that as a kind of opportunity to finally realize that childhood dream I had, to build things on my own, and also to motivate my new friend to get back on track with work. And so, we've agreed to start with some smaller projects and see where will it lead us. Channels like yours are inspiring me to go into that direction. Thank you!
I was kind of worry a bit, because it was 3 month since I got a smile on my face from your video : well.......the wait was worth it. Thank you sir, for the inspiration.
I just stumbled across your channel and now I have subscribed. Way to hook a person into loving your channel. Stay real and don't let negativity degrade your enthusiasm for making things and making a worthwhile channel!.
Dig your narration, and Intensely agree that you have to start, learn as you go, love what you do and be satisfied with what you have. Love this pinecone design..
I love your sense of humor! I've seen a lot of channels where the creator can't decide if they are a comedian or a woodworker. You, on the other hand, do a fantastic job of intersecting humor into your storytelling, and still provide great woodworking content. BTW ... I have only mastered one piece of advice that you shared ... "Be dumb". 🤣 Keep up the great work.
I can't make up my mind which is more beautiful, the lamp or the dog. Absolutely loved your video. What good advice and words of encouragement thank you.
Jesper, glad I stumbled upon this video you made. You are inspirational and encouraging. I love the tagline "Go build something, make friends." (You don't need anybody's permission). A shout out from Houston, Texas via Little Rock, Arkansas.
Thank you Jesper. It's been a tough couple of months with study and life, and today I'm stressed to the gills with my last assignment due on Friday. Your videos always make me laugh. Thank heaven you started with what you had and shared your journey. May you keep evolving, but never change ♥
Damn i love those videos. Talking not only about the product, tools, but also thought proces and failures. Im currently on my way to buy Land to finally have my own workshop, and this is really lifting up
So glad you finished this video! That turned out awesome mate. Getting me back in the mood to flick the camera on and get making again. Awesome content as always!
inspiring video that is much more than about lamps. " go build something. Make friends. ( you dont need anybody's permission) " summed up the greatest message about your video. Thankyou for this 💚
Hi Jasper and greetings again from the 🇬🇧 This is a great video! Honesty, sincerly from the heart, no frills and telling it how it is. Your positive attitude is infectious, never lose that 🙂 Oh and the light, looks amazing👌 Looking forward to what you have to offer in 2024. Take care and keep these videos coming!
Hi there! Greetings back to the UK! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and found my approach honest and sincere. It's great to hear my positive attitude is infectious. Thanks for looking forward to my 2024 offerings. More to come!
Jesper... The angle of incidence equals the angle of reflection. If a laser doesn't point straight down at the work piece then there is a danger of a reflection into the shop and all kind of James Bond private parts jeopardy. Laser cut things have this one annoying feature that they have black crisp right angled edges and have a flat 2D feel. The laser cutter that can make an angled cut would be a game changer and add a way to maybe chemically remove the charring and then the results would be much more unique and interesting... but that is one for your sponsors to think about... Your videos and stories are the best, my heart leaps when I see a new one. The condensation down to "find your piece of wood" is beautiful and insightful and inspiring. Thank you as always Jesper for what you do.
Thanks for your insightful thoughts on laser cutting and the kind words about my videos. Finding your 'piece of wood' is indeed a metaphor for life. Appreciate your support!
I'm thrilled to hear that I've inspired you to contribute more to your community. It's all about passing on the good vibes and, of course, sharing a good cup of coffee! ☕
It's you and Mark that make me realise that I need to start saving for a CNC router to improve my work. But as you say, nothing wrong with making guitars with basic tools until that day 😀 Thanks for the inspiration mate.
I bloody love this lampshade and I bloody love this video!!!!!!! I am very creative like you and I like designing things! You have inspired me to get back at it after a loooooong break! Please do more of these videos! Lots of love to you ❤
Thank you, wilM26! Your enthusiasm is contagious. I'm glad to have inspired you to get back into designing. More videos are on the way - lots of love back at you ❤.
I look forward to your videos. Love the lamp! Love the process even more. Your humour and Mark interactions also just add even more positives to your creations and videos.
Jesper, your sense of humor is really good. Including your editing, and the whole video making thing.. Hey, think of it, if your pallet wood / laser experiment fails... you can always play a Producer, Movie Director, or .. maybe reconsider building pallet wood furniture?
Hi 👋, that was a great idea, you have definitely seen the light 💡, 😂, what about shaping and texturing them, I think you might need a CNC ROUTER machine, that can do curved work, your Lampside still looks very nice great project, I thought I had seen something where are you could take an image for a picture and then scale it and drawing and then cutting the pieces on your laser, look forward to seeing your next project,
Hey Phil, thanks for the suggestion! A CNC router is definitely on the wishlist. It's all about evolving and experimenting with new techniques. Stay tuned for more projects!
Hey Jasper you are not stupid you are brilliant with the Items you make and you know what they say, practice makes perfect, and I have seen a lot of your videos, and have loved them all and will continue to watch them till you stop making them, because you are just inspiring .
I just watched how you built your workshop table. Lucky you, I have to build my entire workshop and I've never built a standing structure before 🤣 Best believe I'm recording the entire experience! Actually found a couple old large desks with great drawers and them that I'm going to use as my workshop tables. You're an inspiration Jesper, keep up the good work!
love the lamp mate! i think your contastant itch to figure out how to make something is very inspiring! i think this is one reason why we all got into making things! thansk for sharing and being awesome!
The lamp is beautiful. I have become such a fan of your work and videos. Your story telling ability is second to none, but what I really appreciate is your self deprecating sense of humor (oh and the guest drop ins from some of my other favorite makers is awesome as well). Thank you, I look forward to future videos.
Larry, thanks so much for your support! I'm glad my storytelling and sense of humor resonate with you. The guest appearances are always a fun addition. More videos are on the way!
I have been impressed with your videos. I have been a carpenter for 32 years. I have never been a woodworker but have always dreamed about it. Your videos inspire me to finally take my tools out of my truck and build something I will actually enjoy. Congratulations on all your hard work on UA-cam
Dave, that's what I love to hear! It's never too late to start woodworking and enjoy creating for yourself. Thanks for the kind words and for being a part of this journey.
Jesper, I love your videos because they are more than just woodworking. They are stories with interesting plot twists! And yes also really inspiring. Could you make a video of what to do for your cat to entertain it and also for climbing and hiding in the house so its not bored, as I have a really active one.
Hey Jussi, thanks for the love! Making a video for cat entertainment and climbing structures sounds like a fun and useful project. Cats do love a good adventure space. I'll add it to my list of ideas!
Always makes my day, when a video from Jesper Makes pops up. Both you and Mark always give great advice, and the best advice is "Just Start". Personally, I don't think your first million is that far away. Keep at it, Jesper. 🇦🇺🇩🇰👍☕
I'm subscribing. I like you. Keep up the good work. (I was a carpenter, built furniture, and also ran a rapid prototyping shop) I think a home laser, and maybe a sublimation printer, can be far more useful than a home 3d printer, so I very much enjoyed watching you put one to such good use.
Thanks for subscribing and for the encouragement! Your background sounds fascinating, and I agree about the versatility of a home laser. Looking forward to sharing more projects that might interest you.
I love these videos. They are so funny and inspirational. I do lots of d.i.y projects around the house and understand that you can make mistakes...but never give up and continue. Thanks Jesper...please make more videos and keep going.❤
If I've taken anything away from this video, for life in general, it's that I need to be even more Dumb and Stubborn. Thanks Jesper, for helping me figure this out.

DrWall, you are not alone. I'm in my garage recovering with memories and dreams keeping me company. My animals are inside asking my wife for snacks.
Absolutely right. Sharing freely is about passion, not greed. It's great to have more open sharing in the world.
Awesome pine cone lamp. One paw up 😂 🤝New subscriber.
@@khanhphaminh1175 Your greed is showing in spades. What did you get sent to the corner in kindergarten for being stingy? lol
Dude, giving away the plans is GENIUS. Nobody would help you, but now you’re helping everybody else. 👏
Hopefully. That's my goal in life. Thanks for the support and for your channel's helful content.
@@JesperMakesbeautiful work! Any suggestions on how to make it without all the expensive tools? Thanks
@@happyautumn3938 Sure, get a coping saw ($20) and cut the peices by hand.
❤❤❤ jesper we need more videos love you channel
So very nice.
You could just ask him to cut out the pieces for you and you assemble it according to this video
Jesper, how can I buy your pinecone and pay for shipment?
Look for a fablab in your area
Many libraries have Maker Spaces where you can learn to use 3d printers, sewing machines, and some even have these laser cutters. I work at a school, so have access to a laser cutter there, as well (as long as I provide the materials). Perhaps there is some sort of club or other maker space in your area?
Jesper, you and Mark inspired me to try! Over the summer of 2023, I made a pallet wood veneer storage table! It’s not perfect and I learned a ton! I’m planning 2 projects this summer! Thank you and Mark both for Just Getting Me Started! 🤟🤟🤟
So awesome you got started! Your table sounds great.
Nice!
Thanks my friend. If you watch this one too, you're pretty much up to date on my channel ;-) ua-cam.com/video/McK0kbPZNoU/v-deo.html
Hello Jesper,
Your imagination is always wonderful.
Great video Jesper. I like that you and Marc are constantly encouraging us to "just get started."
Thanks! Encouraging others to "just get started" is something I believe strongly in. Glad you appreciate that message.
the lamp looks gorgous!
i love that you keep the integrity of your channel & reviews instead of making ads for free items!
Not quite sure what you mean here, but thanks 🙏👍
I promise it was a thumbs up 🤣 promise! I’m off to the shed, you just made my day yet again! Let’s go 2024 🚀
Likely story brother. 🤣
That was meant to be a thumbs up. 👍
I believe you, thank you for being a part of the video, I don't hope people are getting a bad impression of aussies because of this ;-)
Clicked for the cool looking build. Subscribed for the absolutely wholesome comedy. Love it 🤣
Haha, glad you clicked and stayed for the comedy! It's great to hear you're enjoying the content. Welcome to the channel!
What inspires me the most is that you are probably not further away than a hours drive from where I am sitting right now. You have the same access to the tools/equipment as I have, same probable opportunities.
You are a true inspiration to makers.
Also not the "worst millionaire in training"

just over 1/5th of a million and that is significant!!
That's great to hear you've started your journey! Remember, every failure is just a step towards success. Can't wait to hear about your next project.
Really appreciate that, RFrost! Striving to mix humor and storytelling in my videos is important to me. Glad you think it's working!
Ouch.
Really great to hear about this work!
Thank you, Tim!
I haven't got the skill to make anything yet, so I really do appreciate what maybe a quick win, especially with my wife, who is not very pleased that I have purchased a laser cutter!
you're such an incredible story teller my friend! had me hooked the whole way! keep crushing and thanks for the shout out! loved the final product!!!

You sir are not dumb ❤Love from Australia.
this wood lamp is no Poulsen artichoke copy - not all organic inspiration lamps are clones

Thanks for making another entertaining video ! The lamp looks great. I don't know much about laser cutters but you said that one could do really thin metal. I bet that lamp design would look good with aluminum leaves also.Keep up the good work !
Good venting of the fumes to the outside is necessary! Metal fumes are extremely bad for the lungs.

Awesome is the only word I can think of for this lamp.
Thanks for the awesome compliment on the lamp! It's great to hear such positive feedback.
Thank you!
Very inspiring to read stories like yours mate. Best of luck with it.
I was kind of worry a bit, because it was 3 month since I got a smile on my face from your video : well.......the wait was worth it. Thank you sir, for the inspiration.
You're welcome, hopefully there will be more frequent videos in 2024!

Dig your narration, and Intensely agree that you have to start, learn as you go, love what you do and be satisfied with what you have. Love this pinecone design..
Thanks! Starting somewhere and learning on the go is key. The pinecone design is one of my favorites too. Glad you dig the narration!
Beautiful lamp! I love that it mirrors the natural pinecone design. Just beautiful!

Thank you, Philomena! The process is always an adventure, and having Mark around adds to the fun. Glad you're enjoying it!
😂. So fun video as always. Thx to share your plan.
Hey Jasper you are not stupid you are brilliant with the Items you make and you know what they say, practice makes perfect, and I have seen a lot of your videos, and have loved them all and will continue to watch them till you stop making them, because you are just inspiring .
Ahahaha, thanks so much for encouraging me too 🙏🙏
I love the covert shade on "yeah now do that without your tools and I will be impressed" keyboardhero's.
Henkjan, I love that you caught the subtle humor there. Keyboard heroes indeed! Thanks for watching and getting a kick out of it.
Fascinating. And some very astute statements made throughout your video. I wish you well. From a creative, tortured soul. Never stop creating.
Thanks, and the same to you!
love the lamp mate! i think your contastant itch to figure out how to make something is very inspiring! i think this is one reason why we all got into making things! thansk for sharing and being awesome!
Vipun, thanks so much! That constant itch to make something new is what drives most of us makers. Happy to share and glad you find it inspiring!
More videos are on the way!
the story....wow. guys (Jesper and friends) this was really good, clever, original, superb. keep it up!
Thank you so much! I'm thrilled you enjoyed the story. Your encouragement is a huge motivator to keep being creative and original. Cheers!
Thoroughly enjoyed this video. Keep up the great work!
Thanks! Happy to hear you enjoyed the video. More great content coming your way.
I love how humble you are, and the inspiration you give. great vid dude ✌️
Appreciate it! Staying humble and sharing the journey is what it's all about. Glad you enjoyed the video!
That turned out beautifully. I love the pine cone shape and the shadows that play on the wall is a great talking point.
Yup 👍, thanks 🙏
That was a awesome build, so nice to see your response to most of the comments made here. Keep them coming. Cheers from Canada.
That was a brilliant video, and what a gorgeous lamp! Thank you for posting!
Thanks 😊💯
Always makes my day, when a video from Jesper Makes pops up. Both you and Mark always give great advice, and the best advice is "Just Start". Personally, I don't think your first million is that far away. Keep at it, Jesper. 🇦🇺🇩🇰👍☕
Chris, thanks for the encouragement! "Just Start" is indeed the best advice. Here's to reaching new milestones, one step at a time.
You did an incredible job! I love the lamp and your video was so fun! I will be watching to see what you are up to next. DDecker
Thanks 🙏
I’m absolutely amazed by you and your work. So glad I stumbled across your channel.
Jesus the best laser video I have seen! That was fantastic. Thank you I have learned a lot and I’ll build this one for sure!
Thanks man, do let me know when you have made it! If you need the plan, it's on my site for free.
@@JesperMakes already downloaded it with a little donation
I love these videos. They are so funny and inspirational. I do lots of d.i.y projects around the house and understand that you can make mistakes...but never give up and continue. Thanks Jesper...please make more videos and keep going.❤
Thanks 🙏 🙏 ll definitely do that 👌
If I've taken anything away from this video, for life in general, it's that I need to be even more Dumb and Stubborn. Thanks Jesper, for helping me figure this out.
Being 'Dumb and Stubborn' can sometimes be the best approach to challenges! Glad you found some inspiration in the video. Keep pushing forward!
I can’t believe I just watched a laser review and liked it
I can't believe that either!
