Hey Jesper. I build alot with pallets too. Recently subscribed to you. I noticed while you do have an air locker de-nailing tool, you dont have a pallet buster. A quick amazon search should give you a result. $60 US dollars later and I now save alot of time, energy and wood. Best of luck!
Thanks for the advice. I think the pallet buster is designed to pull boards off stringers by grabbing the board from behind on both sides, and this works great on American pallets, but not on Euro pallets and definitely not on the boards on the pallet I used for this bench.
Fantastic job, the end product looks amazing. I bought a second hand Nelson bench a couple of years ago for $250AUD. The stain on yours was an interesting choice, it looks good/ something different that worked well. I'm probably more a fan of clear coat myself. Black legs and light top just seems to look right. Maybe you can experiment with the others you make.
I think that would be fair price if made of solid wood like oak etc but made from cheap reclaimed pine wood which scratches after slight touch of nails I wouldn't pay more then 250 euro for such bench. Made from pine those delicate narrow bits will fall apart soon. Design is asking for strong solid wood.
You know what they say Jesper, 'Happy wife, happy life'. The bench looks amazing mate, I'm sure the orders will be rolling in in no time. Maths has always been my Achilles heel, anyway, that's what calculators are for. Keep up the good work. All the best.
I made my kitchen doors from pallet wood. I did a "barn door" look. Roughly 2.5 inch slats glued together and trimed to size then I wrapped it with same size around the edge with an angle piece in the middle. All 3/8 inch thinkness for the total of 3/4 as usual. You will use a ton of pellet wood. But looks good when done. I used early American stain from minwax on mine. Got loots of nice comments when I sold the house.
Hi Jesper, I started to watch the video, and at 2:05 I see you have the Laguna Fusion (number 3?) tablesaw. Did you recently get it? I'm in the market for this type as well, how do you like it? It seems like the best affordable option before going to industrial sized cabinet saws, but just looking to get some insights from you on this tablesaw! Well, question asked, I'm going back and watch the rest of the video! Cheers!
Yeah Fusion 3. I like it a lot. Very heavy and precise. No saw stop. I got it about a year ago, but spent some time getting my electricity sorted to run it.
That's an awesome bench! Really like the stain you put on it. Dude! Run away from the kitchen!!! I got roped into one last year. Still working on it! Ugh!!!!!😆
That bench was nearly as nice as that clean, precision fitted and detailed red shirt. What a rare item, no longer made so it is now a collectable. (Again, the shirt). 🤣 This will be a great addition to the JM shop. The pine stain was an excellent colour, I hope you wrote down the recipe 😅 Well done mate.
Dude the shirts are perfect, and as collectibles I'll make sure only to wear them on special occasions 😎. And I'm a mad scientist so I didn't write down anything 😅. Thanks for the support James. And I got a lot of comments on this video about how you placed the pallets around my shop 😂😂

Just regular wood screws
Fantastic job, the end product looks amazing.
I bought a second hand Nelson bench a couple of years ago for $250AUD. The stain on yours was an interesting choice, it looks good/ something different that worked well.
I'm probably more a fan of clear coat myself. Black legs and light top just seems to look right. Maybe you can experiment with the others you make.
I will, thanks 👍
Stunning. Thanks for bringing a little joy to my day.
So glad!
Absolutely beautiful piece of furniture. Well done.
Thank you very much! Glad you like the piece. 😊
Love your narration. It makes me feel good. Being a fellow woodworker in US I would think a minimum of $950 would be fair price.
Sounds reasonble!
This proves it can be made of many types of wood including pine. I'll try to make it from ash too.
It looks so beautiful!!
thank you! it really is a beauty!
Very professional, very entertaining, and very informative 🤩 Very good job, Sir! 🎉
Thank you kindly!
Love the bench. Great work. Same thing happens to me. My wife always finds new things for me to do. Good Luck Buddy.
It's a classic 😉
You know what they say Jesper, 'Happy wife, happy life'. The bench looks amazing mate, I'm sure the orders will be rolling in in no time. Maths has always been my Achilles heel, anyway, that's what calculators are for. Keep up the good work. All the best.
Thanks 🙏
That looks really good mate! Not surprised Mrs Jesper liked it and wanted to keep it😊
Thanks 🙏
Really awesome build Jesper! Thanks for this one!!
Thanks 🙏
You made me smile again, with the history lessons. 😃
ahaha, thanks.
Thought it would be a gift in replacement of the worth of the luxurious bench. Can't wait for the kitchen video
My wife can't wait for the kitchen either
I made my kitchen doors from pallet wood. I did a "barn door" look. Roughly 2.5 inch slats glued together and trimed to size then I wrapped it with same size around the edge with an angle piece in the middle. All 3/8 inch thinkness for the total of 3/4 as usual. You will use a ton of pellet wood. But looks good when done. I used early American stain from minwax on mine. Got loots of nice comments when I sold the house.
Sounds awesome 👍
@@JesperMakes it is. Good luck on your project. Like I said you will use more pallets then you think.
Yeah I know 😊
@@JesperMakes 😊
I definitely related to that initial Dado Stack fire up!! 🤣 Was scared I was going to Dado the ceiling. Beautiful video & project mate. 11/10
Thanks, the dado stack was a bit scary 😁
Jesper, that bench is amazing. Well done mate!!!
Thanks 🙏
I am saving up for a sufficient shop so i can redo our kitchen cabinets! Please post when you do do that! Love your work!
Working on the kitchen right now 😂
amazing result from scrapwood. i tilt my hat to you sire.
And your storytelling is 10/10
Thanks 🙏
That's an awesome bench! Really like the stain you put on it. Dude! Run away from the kitchen!!! I got roped into one last year. Still working on it! Ugh!!!!!😆
Thanks 🙏, I can't run from this one 😃
Thanks for sharing .
How many can be made from a pallet.
🤗
Just one would be my estimate.
That was awesome to watch. I did laugh out loud at your “present.”
Looking forward to your next story.
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@JesperMakes hahaha wearing the illicit pallet supplier shirt 🤣
The ultimate twist
nice bench Jesper. Looking forward to see the kitchen remake. Watch out for the IKEA trolls 😂
Thanks Pierre. Just listened to last weekends episode of the podcast, great to have a friend like Steve cone over and visit. And I'll definitely try to replicate the IKEA hack from your video 😅
