I purchased this album right after it's release. I loved it from the start. I have a cd (import from France?) at my brothers so I don't remember how much info was included. I have it on my computer. Thanks for all the stuff you shared! The overall production and sound recordings are fantastic. The Indian musicians are all amazing and give absolutely wonderful performances (the interplay between them is fantastic)! Many of the other pieces I'm assuming were written by George. Very ahead of their time and major beginnings of "New Age" classical music? Others may have dabbled, but George really brings it to a new level. Red Lady Too and Glass Box really shine as unique pieces with very original instrumentation. Glass Box is Raga Rock in full swing...I always loved that piece. The opening to Dream Sequence is mind-blowing. I think a hammer dulcimer is used with backwards tracking along with some of the other instruments. When he brings in the Indian chanting it's just over-the-top cool! Note: the Mono version of Red Lady Too has a lot of effects on the melody at the end which gives it a completely different sound. I'll have to listen to the Mono version to see if there's anything else that is different. Thanks again for a wonderful video!

Excellent first record! Just a bit of lingo... you got your first *RECORD* on Vinyl. You did not buy "a vinyl." This is like saying I bought "a plastic." You bot a record made with vinyl (which is the plastic it is made of). You can say what you want of course, I'm just trying to help you pick up on the lingo. I would also recommend buying used as often as you can, and take chances on buying a few inexpensive records that you know little about but look interesting. Read the back, look at the gatefold. If you see anything that catches your eye, that 2$ album may become a treasured piece in your collection. Enjoy the collecting!

Congratulations of your first vinyl! I remember when vinyl was all we had-aaah the good ole days! Anyway it is a cool album with a good mix of styles. But if you get his Electonic Music album it will be a challenge to listen to. I forced myself to listen to the whole thing once and I am not sure if I would listen again. There may be some charm in there but not sure. Also Paul had a solo album during the Beatles called The Family Way. I really love that album because it transports you to mid 60's rural England. Chlozy, I think you have the best UA-cam channel on here! Russ

Thank you so much! I actually didn’t know about The Family Way album, so I must get that- thank you for letting me know. I’m very excited to start listening to their music on vinyl now!

Never saw the movie but I do have the vinyl. Peter Tork of the Monkees plays a five string banjo on it. The banjo was loaned to him by Paul McCartney.

Techniques TT early 80s refurbished is an excellent Choice-Fluance RT series is another quality affordable model. Audio Technica series is also another great choice. If there are any local UK used LP stores is a smart choice for saving money. Just stick to your budget and shop around for used Audio gear. High end gear is not required. Vinyl sound is warm and natural compared to digital. Good Luck on your music collection!

Wonderwall is a fine album. There are a few tracks I don't like much but I like most of the Indian tracks as well as Red Lady Too, Party Seacombe, and Ski-ing. Part of it was recorded in London with the Remo Four as well as Eric Clapton and Ringo Starr.

Replying to you from New York! It is a pleasing album to play as background music while addressing thing in my home office. I do believe that Eric Clapton is on this album as well. I'll have to check on that.

Nice object, beautiful cover. Vinyls don't sound better than CDs. Technically they can even be considered a bit inferior, but some people prefer the sound and the experience. When you start playing an LP, you commit yourself to listening until the end of a side, it's very different from streaming music online. Vinyl reissues are often made from high quality digital audio files, but old vinyls were made from the original analogue tapes. People like the idea of listening to music that's not been through a computer, the idea of hearing something more direct from the musicians.

George was my Mom's favorite Beattle. I like his solo stuff much more than the Beattle's catalogue.
