It's funny how close a 35k car gets to a 45k car. Let's not forget the magic word there too "TUNED". I think no launch control is snappier just by using proper pedal control. If you can kill the axel tramp, it even puts it down more. The N is extremely impressive.
As a v6 minivan owner would love to see this. These minivans are sleepers. Love to see the puzzled look on people's face when they are trying to keep up and you just blow pass them.

This further proves something was wrong with that STAGE 1 GLI. This A3 Is AWD, has the same tune, has no DSG tune, yet it kept up on a roll with the N. Yet the FWD GLI with no power loss, DSG tune and the same tune lost?. Either that driver was asleep or something was up with his tune.
Yeah, I agree. Something was up with that GLI. A3 = AWD GLI. Same engine same platform same trans. If the A3 beat it on a roll with the same tune, then GLI should have too. I already knew it was a bit weird when the Type R beat the N but the GLI couldn't on a roll when there is so many videos of stage 1 GLI vs TYPE R and all favoring the GLI. This low key confirmed it

I'd be curious to hear feedback on the Launch Control, it seems to get beaten off the line in every comparison I've seen then quickly catches up. Is it a finicky LC or thats just because there is lots of power and only FWD ?

It used to be a safe bet you could see Sam get right into the race. Now I know I can skip to the halfway point of the video to see the race. I miss the old format, stats in the screen and into the race before 2 min into the video.

I like the lighter weight that fwd and the LSD allows, in comparison to a full awd system. I think the EN is perfect just the way it is. Especially the manual version.

I really wished they swapped out the four-cylinder and used the 2016 V6 Genesis motor which packed 348 horsepower with 295 torque out of a naturally aspirated V6 for the Elantra. But for the most part props to Hyundai. Hopefully they keep going strong with their N line.
Edited, just noticed A3 vs S3 What's the difference? A Google search isn't very helpful. According to a quick search, the A3 is FWD, the S3 is AWD. If all other things are equal, the fwd should be quicker from a roll, but the S3 better off the line.
The way that Elantra started reeling the audi in at the end definitely shows that is has more HP then it lists. Did someone from BMW give Hyundai some pointers on faking numbers? XD

In my MK7.5 I notice that they left a LOT of power on the table and that a stage 1 ECU and DSG really wakes the car up. I have a pretty mild tune and the difference from stock is incredible. EDIT: I'm happy there are so many awesome cars out there for people to choose from. I'm not thrilled about current prices though and feel for anyone shopping around in this market.
All I can say is I can't wait to get to see what my 2010 s4 will do against one. Being I can't find a video of the two head to head. Hope to crush it when I do. Pretty sure I'll make sushi.
Not surprised by the results. I predicted just before the start of the video the A3 would win from a dig because of the awd and the Elantra N would win in a roll because of the fwd and would not be hampered by drivetrain power loss like the Audi. I own an Audi A3 with an EQT stage 1 tune and tcu tune. I got a few bolt on and my car is right around 285 bhp.
Just a quick adjustment: the A3 won the dig the N won the roll, just a technical error.
