Brian, thank you! I grew up in a church that grew to be a mega church. In high school I was told flat out that church was not for me and it was just for the non-believers. This was a huge mistake for me and I honestly think that philosophy broke a lot of people from church/Jesus, because there was no discipleship. There was just a praise for bringing people to events. If you brought your friends to broomball you were a great Christian. If you brought guests to the Christmas play, you were being a missionary. If you handed someone a Bible, even if you don't know much of it yourself, than you were bringing the Word to people. This was in the 90s but made a huge impact, negatively. My three brothers and I all went to church every single Sunday and were involved in events. But I am the only one out of the 4 who still has faith. I was a bit obstinate and told the pastor that he was wrong about the church being for unbelievers. But my brothers never even felt like they were loved or accepted. And we couldn't bring people to church for a variety of reasons. So I think it destroyed their faith. It hurts my heart. But it makes me glad to see that people are changing that philosophy and that there are at least some pastors who are working to guide their sheep and less concerned about bringing people into the church.

Crowder needs help. And he needs to be called out. I stopped following him because he crosses the line for me in not just remaining objective and calm and non personal even in his public encounters. For example he has repeatedly become nastier and more malicious against women's obesity. He doesn't just talk about it in a healthy and respectful way he straight up fat shames and is malicious in nature. To me that's crossing the line when you're obviously mean spirited. I feel badly for his wife and I guess I'm not super surprised
