How are Christians supposed to respond to laws supporting same-sex marriage and forcing Christians to participate in ceremonies against their will? I'm a 18 yrs boy,I have decided to follow Christ with all my heart, that's why I stopped watching anything pertaining to gay/porns since I was 16,,
I can proudly say that I'm an ex-gay, not because I feel straight, but because Lord JESUS CHRIST has redeemed me, yes, I must be honest that the gay thoughts are still coming, but I believe those are just temptations from satan.
Please pray for me through this spiritual battle. ❤️❤️ I know JESUS is for me and with me. Thank you

The temptations in your mind are the words of the enemy, they are not your thoughts. It's just the enemy using the word "I" instead of "you" "I like those things." "I am attracted to this." At least that's what helped me.

Ex-gay doesn't exist. You still have gay thoughts because you're still gay; why can't you just accept that? I feel so sorry for you that you've felt as if you've have to "change" yourself just to suit God that, believe it or not, didn't have a problem with you to begin with.

I left islam and became agnostic/atheist then last year, i fall in love with jesus christ and became christian but i still never understood why would god make homosexuality count as something bad.
i had a friend who is gay and i asked him long time ago about it and he said that he cant get attracted to girls and that he had feelings towards other boys since he was young.
that made me look at it in a different way although back then i was still a muslim and islam treats homosexuals with death penalty while christianty does not teach that as far as i know but still i never could understand why would homosexuality count as a sin, as if it is something terrible and evil like murder or rape or deception ...

Lets remember that homosexuality is not any more sinful than adultery/fornication. Everyone should be allowed in church if they're struggling with this. If they are saying its not a sin though (or that they can sin and don't have to repent) then that's an issue. If I had children I would never excommunicate them either. Everyone needs their family unit and if family excommunicates them then they will only go deeper into sin. Keep praying, and keep believing for the breakthrough.

There were once two evangelist on my college campus and I didn't know how to feel about them. Were they preaching love or were they faking it. I am christian and struggle with same sex attraction. I wanted to test them and see if their hearts where in the right place. I told one of them that I was gay and would like to talk about what the Bible says about it. He pulled out a pen and paper and was prepared to make lunch arrangements. I knew that this person was genuinely out there to form relationships and talk to people about the Gospel. If your goal is only to convert people and not for relationships then your missing something. If a christian won't sit and eat with an unbeliever then that's an issue. We are called to go and tell everyone about Jesus. Even Jesus sat and ate with unbelievers.

Once I accepted Christ thru Faith, Trust and Authority.. My sexuality did change, and it did so very QUICKLY without even trying.. I use to on occasion look at pornography, what use to be pleasurable before Christ QUICKLY became disgusting, repulsive and even depressing.. I started to understand almost by pure instinct that sex was not an animal urge or just biology, but a gift and a tool used to bond to your mate..
I know nothing of same sex attraction, gender dysphoria or pedophilia (rot in hell netflix).. But I do know how quickly the spirit and authority of Christ and God can change ones sexuality.. And how in my opinion most sin is carried out thru sexuality..

As for your claim regarding "God's own incompetence"... What do you mean by that? What's your argument/claim here?
As for your "inbred" snark... We're all related bud. But it is because of sin (corruption/harmful mutations) that you can't marry too close to home. While calling same-sex partnerships "marriage" (which used to be about biology; coitus) is not rational. You are equating your personal desires which are inherently dangerous and serve no greater purpose than 'self' with biological realities that are essential to the survival of the human race and that benefits all of us. Those homosexuals who ARE just going about their lives and not harming anyone are not even part of the subject of this video. My comment was about the morals discussed in the video. For some reason some people seem to think that they can pick and choose what beliefs they subscribe to and force others to accept it. 3. The real issue is that some activists, (not all homosexuals,) trying to force others to violate their beliefs. 4. There are religions that want to force homosexuals to conform to their beliefs and ideals. This is wrong. Ironically, these activists do not see the hypocrisy of using the same tactics. 5. If this was really about being able to have a nice wedding they wouldn't want to try to force someone to be part of it. If I thought someone just didn't like me personally I would deliberately exclude them from my wedding day. I would never think of trying to force them to be part of it. I wouldn't want them to have my business, let alone be in a position to wreck things. I would go somewhere else to get my cake, flowers and ceremony. 6. You never see these "activists" confront what is undeniably wrong, such those that execute homosexuals who "just try to live their lives", such as Islam. They only try to target those that are just trying to get along in their lives and faith but aren't a real threat.

The question is wrong. Every person who enters the Church is a sinner and either deals with or represses their thoughts or actions of sin. If an adulterer entered, would we be asking the same question? The thief? etc. Most sinner's sins are hidden and we wouldn't even know by just looking or sitting with them, so why would we mock or exclude homosexuals who willingly come to the Church to learn and love Jesus Christ? He will deal with their hearts and we should welcome and love every person who seeks Him.

Sinners who become believers are a new creation in Christ with their personal fellowship with God this means a new lifestyle. What should we do as believers take up our cross and follow Jesus what we’re called to do. Jesus is our High Priest not man or government, if government force us to live a sinful lifestyle we become martyrs for our belief and love for God like Jesus and the Saints in the Bible.

When a person places their faith-trust in Christ, God promises their salvation. Part of that trust is not only eternal life but daily help being empowered by Christ to take up our cross. When people live a sinful lifestyle with no remorse to God they are demonstrating they are not saved and haven’t place their faith in Christ. @lovelover I think you may have missed my point and thats fair because I didn't spell it out clearly.
In a majority if cases in which God condemns an action, there are reasons we can derive even outside scripture for them being a negative action. Things like promiscuity can have negative effects, heavy alcohol use, etc. There are reasons that would make me say "ah, this is why God told us not to do this". There is none of that for homosexuality. There is nothing that can justify a stance against it other than God said so. Thats what I meant.
Keep in mind I said you should be able to refuse that service so long as its non-essential. For example I think a doctor in the ER would still be liable to care for a car accident victim even if they were homosexual. Something they agree to with the oath anyways. Something non-essential like baking a cake or taking pictures, sure, refuse service if you wish. Just understand that because you have done this and people do not share your faith, you will get backlash because you are discriminating on what they view as a baseless stance. Im on your side as far as hey can't demand your service, but thats basically it.

1 Cor 6:9-11 tells us that we cannot continue practicing sin and still inherit heaven. Verse 11 "and that's what some of you were but now you have been washed, sanctified and justified in the name of our Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God." At the time of their belief repentance and water baptism they were washed sanctified and justified being added to the Church by God. 12:13.We cannot love Christ and sin at the same time. The mission of the Church is to preach the gospel. And the gospel is not just what Christ did for us but what we must do before God. It requires for us to set aside anything that hinders us to run our race with Christ becoming holy before God. Let's be clear on how Christ's blood saves us and it doesn't save us just because He died and there is absolutely nothing that we must do. This kind of attitude is blasphemy towards scripture, Christ said in John 14:15"if you LOVE me, keep my commandments" so yes we have a role to play in our salvation, it's being faithful to God til death working out our salvation in fear and trembling growing each day in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. God wants and has always wanted obedient people. The only way to have a relationship with God is through obedience in Christ. Heb 5:7-9. Our faith, the gospel, is something we hear believe and obey Rom 1:5,16 6:17,16:26. No matter what sin hinders us before God we can overcome if we truly have faith hope and love in Christ. @Aron Gladden repentance is part of the gospel. Just as water baptism just as is confession in Christ as the Son of God just as is to believe and it all comes from hearing the word of God, the word of God teaches us the gospel. The gospel is what Christ has done for us at the cross and what we must do in Christ. Christ has left us commandments and we must obey. Luke 13:3,5 talks about needing to repent. With our repentance we are dead in our sins. Repentance is a must without it there is no forgiveness. Luke 24:44-47. You must learn scripture correctly so you are not misled. I praise you for reading it and trying to understand it, it says a lot since you are WILLING to learn God. The gospel which is our faith is something we hear believe and obey. Read the context of Rom 1:16 verse 5. Also 6:17 16:26. The bible is like a puzzle where we try to put it all together to see the whole picture. Our faith and spiritual eyes should be in Christ.

5:52 Frank, you are nullifying the scripture. The statement of 1 Corinthians is to inform us that practicing those sins is a sure sign that you are not going to inherit the kingdom of God. This is people who go beyond the sins of the heart, and live in rebellion to God. The message is clear that anyone who wants to get right with God, must give up these lifestyle sins. When you ignore the main point of that section of scripture in order to combat self-righteousness, you are not rightly handling the word of God and you give an excuse to those who want to live apart from God (in their sin) to be self-deceived.

Also, there is more scientific research that has proven that certain psychopaths are also born that way. Does that make it okay when they react on their desire to hurt or kill people? If they are born that way, lacking empathy and compassion, then it should be okay to hurt people.
This is not a good argument Biblically because the Bible tells us that we are inherently sinful and imperfect creatures. It also tells us that we are to turn away from our sinful, baser natures to be more like Christ.
It is also not a good secular argument because there is a lack of scientific evidence to support your theory that people are born inherently gay/lesbian/bisexual.
The most important take away: even if you are born with sinful inclinations, that does that give a person an excuse to sin or an excuse that makes sinning acceptable/permissible.

I guess you could say it is like asking someone to sober up before letting them into an A.A. meeting, which would be tragic of course. I've been in those rooms when new people arrive and it can be uncomfortable or down right sickening but so necessary for the drunken alcoholic. Today though, I am aware of salvation and know there will be many sober alcoholics in hell. My point was only a comparison of sins.
The thing is here, is the willingness to not follow your sin whatever it may be.... The Lord has relieved me of so many of the holds that sin had upon me, not all of them but many. I have been slowly transformed over the past 14 years because of Christ and sometimes in spite of my unwillingness. This transformation in me is still on going but has moved from the complete removal of many sins to a slower refining of others. True Christians are all works in progress and completion will not happen until Christ's meeting with us in the clouds.
One of my shortcomings is the acceptance of the homosexual which has only come a short way in the past 14 years because of my own resistance. Please pray for me also not to be so self righteous toward homosexuals. Please pray for me to hate the sin and not the sinner.
