For some of those n64 games, you can just use portmaster and run the pc versions. I know that Mario 64, OOT, and MM have portmaster versions. Just play those.
My girl and I are running Crossmix and we have wayy less issues. We dont even overclock. Just let it run in performance mode if playing n64 or psp. We are running high quality sd cards and sourcing our own roms/bios.
On my N64 games, i noticed the X and A button don't seems to be working when i used them while playing N64 games but they worked fine on my psp and other games, does it have to do with the controller of the original N64?? please is there anything i can do to make them work?
It's because of the layout of the original controller. The original had an A/B button and 4 C buttons. The A/B buttons are mapped to B/Y on the device and the C buttons are mapped to the right joystick for Up/Down etc If you really want to map them then you could update the retroarch controller mapping by pressing the menu button and going to controllers and changing the mapping
Im still tweaking with the settings but it is a tad laggy. Oot, Dk64. Those run super smooth. Im not sure why others are having issues. They have a ton of settings. Donky Kong 64 game me the most trouble. But finally got it playing nice and smooth
Will obly some n64 games work?. Im having issues getting n64 games to boot..it will try to load but brings me back to the main screen. Any suggestions?
Yes, right now only some n64 games will actually boot. I have not found a fix yet. Hopefully the devs can fix this in a future update or it can be fixed with a future custom firmware.
Perfect dark and goldeneye don't boot at all. There is something wrong with the firmware that limits the games that can be played. With the stock firmware, N64 is actually not very good on the trimui. I've started testing knulli and it looks more promising but still very early and needs to be tweaked and fixed. At least knulli is booting those games that don't work on stock
I got it running on mine. I still need to tweak the settings some more to get it right. But ive gotten through the first part with ease. Most games didnt give me any trouble. Donky Kong 64 gave me the most trouble by far. But we got it running nice and smooth now

I wanted to play mystical ninja starring goemon but it never runs fine on any of these portable devices
Does anybody knows where the Z button should be located on this Trimui console?
I'm baffled that Mario Golf will play on my three year old Anbernic 280m (on the same emulator), but not this thing. 😢

The standalone mupen emulator in the latest crossmix os allows no mercy to play

Yes. Go into retroarch and modify the core options. Under video is an option for resolution

@@RetroHandheldGuidesI bought this for perfect dark but now I'm worried. Is there an update nowadays?
Install crossmix if it doesn't already ship with it. Crossmix will play perfect dark
@@RetroHandheldGuides Thanks very much already downloaded it in anticipation! :)
The problem is we need standalone emulators for N64 and Dreamcast Emulators.
Can you play 3ds on this device?
No 3ds.. just regular NDS
@@RetroHandheldGuides thank you
But can it run Crysis...eh I mean Rogue Squadron?
Rogue squadron will not load
