    Hello fashion friends!!! Today I have a pattern for the much requested wide-leg pleated pants. I made a video showing you guys how to pattern and sew these wide-leg pleated trousers last year, but you guys kept asking for a sewing pattern... so here it is! These are officially my new favorite pants! They are such a statement pair of pants without being too overpowering. Hope you guys enjoy the tutorial!
    Love you all!
    ~Kiana

    Hi Kiana! Thanks for your great tutorial. I'm about to buy your pattern and am looking forward to using it. I noticed you used satin in this tutorial - I tried to use it a long time ago to make a top and struggled the whole time. It was so slippery and my garment came out puckered at every seam. Yet here you handle it like it's nothing. I was wondering if you had any tips for sewing with satin? Did you prep it in anyway? Thanks in advance, I love your work :)

      Hi! There is so so much that goes into real patternmaking and it’s taken me 6 years to get to this stage. If I were you I’d by a patternmaking book, Patternmaking by Armstrong is a good one! Also plus size grading (sizing the patterns) are done different and require special expertise and I don’t have that education!

    As always, great videos! 😍 Finally convinced myself to buy a cutting mat. Newbie question... I see that your pattern and fabric is wider than your mat, how do you cut the rest of the pattern outside of the mat? Do you move the fabric and the pattern? doesn’t the fabric slip? Hope you can share tips!

    • @KianaBonollo
      @KianaBonollo  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you! I gently pull the fabric and pattern to move it! Depending on your fabric it may or may not slip so try it out before you start cutting!

    • @KianaBonollo
      @KianaBonollo  3 роки тому +2

      I put all of the metric conversions both in the video on the screen and in the pattern directions so you have both imperial and metric equally. America uses imperial!
