Exactly i started sewing my own clothes cause i can't afford buying them anymore, i even sew my bags ,my beanies and socks and the big plus is everything fit me well and i buy my favorite colors and add my favorite darts , pleats and hems
the price look ridiculous just because u are used to low fast fashion prices and buying a lot of clothes for not a lot of money. before it wasn't like that u would buy just a few clothes that were of good quality(witch means they would last YEARS)

The hardest part is the dam fly front and waistband *cry moment lol and you're working with leather that is amazing work!!! Hence why I avoid making them and stick to elastic waistband lmao. One day it will come to a point where I will want to make leather pants so I don't have to buy them. I live in NZ so most of the exciting clothing is from overseas which takes like months to get here lmao! Your techniques are amazing and clear I shall try making these one day.
do you change bobbins/thread/presser foot/needle in between every time you sew a seam and every time you top stitch? these pants are literally FIRE omg

get leather specific needle if y'all can!! it really helps a lot especially if you're sewing over multiple layers. i didn't break a single needle while making a leather corset, even when sewing through 4 layers of leather

Hi Mary! French seams are usually used for straight seams! Most of these seams have curves so I wouldn't recommend them! Not to say sewing a curved french seam is impossible - but you'd trim the seam allowance down so much that it would not stand up to washing. Also I would say any fabric that you would use for these pants would be too thick for a curved french seam.

I clicked the link to the fabric you used and I guess Joanns isn’t carrying it anymore because it gave me an “Uh oh” message 🥲 I’m thinking of using their faux stretch leather but not sure if that changes the way I follow the pattern. Them red leather trousers look absolutely beautifully designed and made. You are really good at it 👍👌 I would love a great fit pair of black leather trousers/jeans. I am very slim and have a 26/27 waist and I find it hard to find a pair that fit well and I have slim legs. Would love a slim fiitted pair of black leather trousers. I don't know how to sew at all. Any advice?

I'm using a heavy stretch denim for this, would you recommend switching your foot for topstitching on denim too?
