    If you work it like this: TPS 1, TKS 1, TPS 1, TKS 1 etc your work won't curl at all (TKS = Tunisian Knit Stitch; TPS = Tunisian Purl Stitch)

      Yeah :) as long as you have a long enough cord for the amount of stitches you want, you can go to town

      You can make long strips on a shorter cord and then piece them together. It kind of a crochet together as you go. There are some good videos on how to do that.

    I'd never heard of this style of crochet until I watched this video. Wow, I can't wait to try it! I've had a long crochet hook, but never knew what I could use it for. Thank you for the tutorial. As soon as I'm done making the baby blanket that I'm working on now, I'll be trying to make one like this, I love it! This is my first time making a giant granny square blanket, is that an afgan? I just crochet and see what comes up, but am trying to expand with patterns, etc. Thanks again for the tutorial. 👍🏻

    What I do for blocking is use a steam iron. I just have the iron about an inch or so away from the blanket and let the steam ghost over it.

      I can’t figure out how to do more than a washcloth because I struggle to hold on to the hook with more stitches on it, I feel like it just skips around on me. I would really love to see a video of someone doing 100 stitches and how to hold the hook. Your video is wonderful. Thank you.

    I been wanting to do this so I pulled out my hook today and I tested myself and I did good at making a potholder. Now I want to make a baby blanket but I don't have the hook with the extension.

      I literally taped a narrow tube to the end of my crochet hook and tied a knot in the other end. It's a bit rough working over it, but good enough for learning purposes until you're ready to invest in something better.

    Another question from a rookie, once washed and blocked, does it mean that everytime you wash it, you need to block it again or we can just put it in the dryer machine so it won't roll on anymore ?

    I only have the long aluminum hooks, so I would imagine I can only go as long as the hook. Do you have to make multiple panels and stitch then together to make a large blanket

      There’s an extension type thing with the Tunisian crochet hook on amazon and other places where it’s the normal hook but instead of a stopper it has a plastic tubing to hold the stitches and give you more room. Unless you do like making panels, which you can use an invisible stitch to place them together

    I love it but it’s really hard to do when u make a bigger blanket. I tried it and it takes forever. But I love the pattern.

      Just under 2 of the 1 lb skeins of bernat baby yarn. I doubled up the strands to make a thicker blanket.

      You will need a very very long cable. This may also take a very long time using this kind of stitch for a blanket so large

      Yes! Just make sure the single crochets are not too tight or the sides or the blanket will pucker. Single crochets are slightly smaller than Tunisian simple stitches.

      I’m not sure exactly how many, but most hook sets have multiple cables that can be attached to form one long cable, I think if you attach them all together it will hold enough stitches

    I keep on looking at something that looks like a booboo on it. Around the top left. The vertical bars are so noticeable but it looks like one or two stitches went wonky. I would love to make a blanket but I would be afraid I would make a mistake and not know how to fix it.

    Is there a trick to making the border so it is not wavy? I think I am accidentally making my border too loose so it looks ruffled a bit.

      If it looks ruffly, you may be doing too many stitches. Be sure you're going just in the spaces when she says to, and only in every stitch when she says to.

      That’s when you use a hook with a cord /cable so it can hold additional stitches

      I feel you. Same thing happens when I knit using stockinette stitch. It looks awesome. It's just the curling of the fabric that bothers me.

      Linda Lou I’ve been trying the different ways I’ve seen on tutorials and I still get the curl 🤷🏾‍♀️ don’t know why larger hooks same hook as the yarn ball said to use even loosen my stretches same thing 🤷🏾‍♀️ , I’m not giving up I love the pattern.

      @@hugettewatson2789 it's similar to stockinette stitch.. It's just something it does. I've grown quite fond of both stockinette stitch and Tunisian stitch along with the traditional curl..lol
