- Learn how to crochet the Tunisian Crochet Simple Stitch with this easy to follow video! Great for beginner crocheters and experienced makers alike.
This Tunisian Simple Stitch tutorial starts with a foundation row, both forward and reverse, and a detailed look at the grid-like texture of the Tunisian Simple Stitch. Finally, learn how to "cast-off" your Tunisian crochet stitches.
Another bonus, Tunisian crochet doesn't require you to turn your work, which makes it a great stitch to use when making larger projects, like chunky blankets. And the back of the Tunisian Simple Stitch is even cozier than the front!

I am new in this crochet world and I find this Tunisian stich beautiful and easy. Thank you!!! Greetings from Argentina.
I’ve never watched a tutorial about Tunisian crochet-I LOVE it! Your instructions are clear and very easy to follow. Thank you!😊
I agree with the last person, Your instructions were very clear and easy to follow! I think you are an excellent instructor and I will continue to follow you for MORE projects that involve the Tunisian stitches! Well done and I truly thank you for sharing with your audience! May God continue to bless you!
This was a wonderful tutorial. Incredibly straightforward and not too fast. Absolutely brilliantly done. Thank you so much!
This was the best tutorial I’ve seen for Tunisian. I can’t wait to make the Sunset Stripe blanket!
I started crocheting beginning of September and really enjoy it. I bought a Tunisian hook, and was looking for a good tutorial to learn the technique. Found it! Thank you for this video. Cant wait to try this.
Thank you - you made this look so easy and entirely do-able ............ off to order some supplies right now and give this a go!
Wonderful instructions! Thank you 😊
Best tutorial I’ve come across so far.
The yarn looks so fluffy. Thanks for your lesson!
Thank you for your video. You gave a clear explanation and demonstration of the Tunisian simple stitch. I've just gotten back into crocheting and am eager to learn new stitches!
Your instructions and visuals are so easy to follow. Thank you so much for sharing!
Your a great instructor, very clear video , will definitely try this beautiful stitch for a blanket.
This is so well done and easy to follow. Thank you!
Great video - clear instruction and paced very well. Thank you!
I ve never seen this before But it looks pretty easy to do and I will have to purchase the 11.5 hook .I really enjoy your video on this Thank you .😊
Thank you for the memories. I learned this stitch back in the 60's with my grandmother and had not thought about it in decades. She had what I think was about a 10mm hook at least 14" long, all smooth wood. Don't know what happened to that hook. Sigh!
Your cover art for the video shows a lovely blanket that it looks like you used one color for the base and alternated colors for the return rows. Do you have a tutorial or a video showing how you did that? It's so lovely. I didn't see it in this video - just on the cover image. (Great instruction video here by the way! I like how you made it clear where to insert the hook at the beginning and end of each row - that's often hard to see - but you covered it perfectly.)
oh wow Yahoo !! i did it !!!! thank you for your awesome instructions..... finished my first Tunisian square.... checking your other videos... hope to make a sampler blanket.. while i'm learning this crochet technique
So well explained, thankyou 😊
So clear! Thanks.
I’m glad I know how to crochet already lol cause if I was a newbie I’d not understand this at all lol but this seems really easy
Great tutorial! Thank you!
Wow, I have never done this crochet, but I want to learn it, I'm a beginner on crocheting, I like how this looks, but I'm going to try it,
Excellent video, think I found a new hobby
I cant wait to try this ! Thanks for doing this !!!

Use to fo this as a kid. Forgot it. Thanks
Спасибо! Наконец нашла супер мастер-класс!
The last time I crocheted using the Tunisian stitch was in 1976. Started doing it and it just didn't feel right. Glad I watched your "How to Crochet the Tunisian Simple Stitch: A Step-by-step Stitch Tutorial." Had it almost right! So glad I found your video. In your video you mentioned using a larger size hook for your projects then you would think you would need. Can you recommend a hook size using 4 ply yarn?
Wow. After watching entire video, I love this stitch! I really want to try this. Please do more videos. Can this be done in the round for hats?
It can, but I don't have a video for it yet. :-)
Enjoyed your tutorial. Do you have a pattern for a Throw Blanket that you like to share
Good job 👍
How large of a piece can you make using Tunisian needle ?
Thank you going to have a goat Tunisian crochet!
i suddenly get the appeal of this stitch
I have a question... I don’t have a p 11.5 mm hook but I do have a 10.00 mm. Will that be good enough to make this blanket? I don’t want to have to purchase it if the 10mm will work :) thanks!!!
Can you recommend the best set of Tunisian hooks for beginners to this type of crochet? I’m advanced crocheted but new to Tunisian. Thanks.
For smaller sizes, I use Denise Interchangeables (Amazon affiliate link: amzn.to/2BzOUvl). The larger size shown is a Chiaogoo Tunisian hook: amzn.to/2T3rtEM
would this yarn, hook and stitch combo make a good, soft throw blanket?
Interesting
Can you use blanket yarn for this pattern?
How many stitches do I do for a lap blanket
Love the stitch....but the hooks are hard to work with. I suggest making your chain with a metal crochet hook. Too frustrating with the wooden ones
👍

Where did u get your Tunisian hook?
Any videos for us lefties?
Hi Judith, I'm so sorry, I do not have videos for left-handed crochet.
Ok but thanks for replying. I’m going to keep looking though....love the Tunisian!
@@jjohnson4160 it's very easy to follow and I'm a left hander.
The terms are Forward Pass and Return Pass. One Forward Pass and one Return Pass make up one row. Please get the terms right. It makes a difference.
Very well instructed. Thankyou 🥰
