The boat looks like it’s not trimmed for the wind and wave conditions or he is setting up for a starboard turn but in those conditions to let the boat heel over and expose more area to the windward is high risk. I use to drive, not race high performance boats. They handle like a dream until you hit their limitations and then adjustments are necessary. Most these boats have a pilot and a copilot. Pilot does the steering, 2nd in command is throttle and trim. Could be miss communication of new team mates.
