If the Fast and Furious naming convention isn't too confusing for people, calling it Dune: Messiah will be fine. It'd be more confusing calling it anything else.
The action could solved by showing one or two scenes of Paul dominating worlds with his army because he has a vision that he should be there in person and learn something there. We could have a look to a new world while the other stuff happens in Arrakis with Chani and Irulan.
Dune Messiah is very sci fi, very political, and very difficult to attract a wide audience. There's lot of alien jargon in it for example, it's niche rather than mainstream.
I would like it to be called Dune: Part 3. Just for simplicity and clarity. Two parts per book, IF THEY ARE going that route. I actually enjoy the time change and changes in general to Dune versus the books! Just for the flow for the film.
Spice prolongs life and slows aging so they can add a line to emphasize/remind of that and keep all the same actors! Especially since they’ve been on Arrakis for so long, having spice in their food, air, etc.,
I get these first movies were parts 1 and 2 because the first book is BIG. Like 600-700 pages long. Maybe the next movies would be Dune Part 3: Messiah or just Dune Messiah to give more of the structure of this is the next chapter after Dune. Supporting the abrupt end of Part 1 because it’s the first half. And part 2 works as conclusion of the first book. That chapter is done. Now we move to the next part. Because the 12 year time skip could throw some people off with questions like “isn’t this supposed to be right after the last movie?” When we skip years and the movie can explain itself as a “this is after the first story formed by the 2 parts. This is a new chapter”
They actually would'nt need to recast for Princess Irulan, in the book she uses her Bene Gesserit training to slow her aging process so she actually doesn't change in appearance at all. Even in Children of dune the Lady Jessica makes note of how Irulan hasnt aged a day
For action in Dune Messiah, all they would have to do is show the Holy War of the Fremen taking place. What are the battles? It wouldn't have Paul's direct involvement if staying loyal to the books, but I think it could work to have Paul lead a battle, say in the opening scene.

The holy war instigated on Arakis and opposed by the other great houses would no doubt encompass a lot of action and we might see the Spacer Navigator Guild appear as they of all the parties depend greatly on the flow of Spice.
How would this be any different than Harry Potter having two parts for the final book? The 8th movie is still the 7th book. How did that not fuck up the metadata, Grace? lol

I do love me a bit of Momoa.
There is plenty from Dune Part 2 that you can bring forward to a action combat Dune Messiah. (See Chani riding into the desert.)
Flash back action NEVER works in films. Name a film that they use flash back action that’s huge haha. They all disappoint
They already had a problem with not allowing enough time to pass in Dune. Things just don't happen immediately in this kind of world
I think dune messiah really needs to be titled dune messiah instead of dune part 3. Since the story is a bit of a different breed than dune.
6:49 you could say cloning is in their DNA😜
Dune Messiah is very sci fi, very political, and very difficult to attract a wide audience. There's lot of alien jargon in it for example, it's niche rather than mainstream.
I would like it to be called Dune: Part 3. Just for simplicity and clarity. Two parts per book, IF THEY ARE going that route. I actually enjoy the time change and changes in general to Dune versus the books! Just for the flow for the film.
Thank u for doing this video!!!!!!
I think to add some action they can take some time focusing on the Holly War and then proceed with the other stuff in Dune Messiah.
A 11 minute video had 5 ads. Grace this is genuinely ridiculous.
Must be you, i didnt get any ads
Spice prolongs life and slows aging so they can add a line to emphasize/remind of that and keep all the same actors! Especially since they’ve been on Arrakis for so long, having spice in their food, air, etc.,
CAN'T WAIT TO SEE ANYA TAYLOR JOY IN THE NEXT MOVIE!
Changing actors would be a big mistake. Remember that the spice doubles lifespan and the water of life even more so.
Just call it Dune Messiah. It’s not going to confuse anyone who saw the first two films and the title is very relevant to the story’s theme.
Hey grace, so early
Just watched dune 2 and LOVED IT
They actually would'nt need to recast for Princess Irulan, in the book she uses her Bene Gesserit training to slow her aging process so she actually doesn't change in appearance at all. Even in Children of dune the Lady Jessica makes note of how Irulan hasnt aged a day
WE NEED MORE SPICE!
For action in Dune Messiah, all they would have to do is show the Holy War of the Fremen taking place. What are the battles? It wouldn't have Paul's direct involvement if staying loyal to the books, but I think it could work to have Paul lead a battle, say in the opening scene.
Currently I’ll watch whatever Denis makes
Watched Dune 2. Amazing
I see no reason Messiah can't be two movies just like Dune book 1 was
Action in Messiah can easily be pulled off by having Paul’s dreams and visions of the holy war and what happened between dune and dune messiah. The book Paul of Dune can be used as source material to fill in the time jump 🔥
CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT DUNE MOVIE!
Villeneuve might show things that are gloseed over or assumed in the book. The holy war instigated on Arakis and opposed by the other great houses would no doubt encompass a lot of action and we might see the Spacer Navigator Guild appear as they of all the parties depend greatly on the flow of Spice.
My vote is for Dune: Messiah. Dune was never normal anyway.
The added action would need to be showing the Jihad either at the beginning and/or flashbacks.
How would this be any different than Harry Potter having two parts for the final book? The 8th movie is still the 7th book. How did that not fuck up the metadata, Grace? lol
In Dune Messiah there is a lot of "deconstruction" of the main hero... and even this was more recently copied by Star Wars people (thinking of Ryan Johnson's take on Luke Skywalker in episode 8)
They will show the holy war. That will be how they solve the action issue. Then the bombs etc at the end
