She’s not much of a reviewer in the traditional sense though, is she? She focuses on box office performance, has a special interest in big IPs and comic book adaptations (basically Disney), and credits the audience with having taste. In many ways her idea that what the audience embraces per definition is good (perhaps not good art but good for the industry) is more relevant than high-brow reviews.
They could have made a movie about factions in the U.K. or U.S. going to war. But this was an attack on journalism, which Hollywood seems to find easy to do and not distinguish between real journalism and tabloid journalism. A lot of journalists have been deliberately killed (murdered) this year, many while wearing the sign "PRESS" on their backs. When it comes down to it they are truth-tellers. And liars and criminals don't like it.
I think it’s weird to call the video “top 10 worst movies” and then say you liked some of them. It should just be called top 10 box office failures. There is an ongoing problem with Grace switching between her own opinions and then switching to commercial success, which one she is talking about gets muddy.
@@mp4c12winning yeah, I do understand that, but it’s often unclear exactly what’s she’s doing. I'd replace Civil War with Metropolis. I see Civil War as a modern take on Apocalypse Now which had the same outline but took place in a different civil war. Metropolis was made by one man for one man. He could have saved himself some money and not release it.
make it make sense, you compare a series designed for children & teens (i.e. Star Wars), to a film about mental illness. Thank you Todd Phillips & Joaquin Phoenix for creating a masterpiece!!
No grace, War of the Rohirrim didn't please as significant portion of the fandom. Only because there are some, doesn't mean the most hardcore fans where pleased, if anything they were offended by its existence. It just looks better than it should due to Amazon's LOTR which is unwatchable.
Most hardcore fans (like me) would be glad that there's a new LOTR movie about Rohan which doesn't do a lot of shitty fanservice like Rings of Power. Just because this film has a female lead who can fight doesn't mean she's girlboss, even Eowyn was more of a warrior than Hera.
Grace calling people cowards while she gives lame excuses about putting movies she praised on her top 10 worst list because other people didn't like them. 😂
Grace I respect your insider knowledge and commentary on Hollywood, but your unpopular opinions on movies are just borderline unhinged. Civil war was on your worst of 2024 list but you gave Kraven a positive rave review??
Although Joker 2 was pretty bad (I fell asleep so many times watching it on MAX), I kinda understand what Phillips was trying to do at the end: make Fleck no longer the Joker but rather an inspiration for the next Joker (an unknown, unnamed psychopath). Phillips execution in that idea was pretty awful.
He was trying to deconstruct the first film. It's an artistically pure idea but doing so, especially with a jukebox musical, is such a risky move I would have been shocked if it turned out well.
Another video where Grace is so out of touch from reality. What a weird takes on some of these films. That Civil war rant was so stupid. What a laughable take on that.
Saturday Night is an odd inclusion. At worst, I think it’s just “okay.” There are some standout performances and moments of engaging direction. The script is serviceable for what the film is trying to do. 3.5/5 on Letterboxd, 78% RT, 7/10 IMDB.
What i have cime to realise with Grace is once hwr mind is made up with a movie from casting to trailer and she hates it she will never like the movie no matter how good it is😂
Supposedly is because Grace is on vacation....True. But she, obviously, knows how aniticipated the movie is and "much more coming from her" since she says she´s a comic book fan. She´s reacted to other trailers previously when she had to be away. And, being on vacation, her followers would have understood and she could just had to do a very quick video with her phone. Nothing fancy. ...not for nothing but if it had been a Marvel news she´d have done it.
I am with you Grace. Joker 2 was the worst. Todd Phillips played himself and ruined his legacy and Joaquin did the same. It retroactively made Joker a complete waste of time and I never thought I would despise a film so much. I could go on and on, but it’s Christmas and who needs to give this film real estate in their heart? Merry Christmas Grace and Thank you.
i love how anyone criticizing Joker 2 is about the people who made it and not the film itself. Todd Phillips knew exactly what kind of film he wanted to make and he executed it with flying colors. It had smart writing, the song choices went hand-in-hand with the kind of music from the first film, the performances from Gaga and Joaquin were raw and emotive, the filmmaking, editing, cinematography, set design were all A-plus. It baffles me that so many people hate on it because it wasn't "what a joker movie should have been", maybe not, but it was still consistent with the storytelling of the first film and John Waters, Tarantino and Hideo Kajima know what they were talking about when they praised the movie
I can't believe Grace is putting out all these videos but isn't putting out a Superman reaction trailer or at least break down when everybody else has it just shows her disdain for James gun
I was shocked as well. There are a bunch of movies that are worse. G2 disappointed compared to expectations, but it was well received. Just didn't make the money it should have IF it had been great.
@ disagree , JOKER 2 was the worst sequal ever made , at least Gladiator had a continuation story that made sense , and was at the same time its own thing plus Denzel killed it in that role !
She said why and she made a good point. Not because it's bad at all, but because it's bland and made no noise and will make no noise in awards season like predicted making it a disappointment of the year.
My biggest disappointment of 2024: LONGLEGS a GROTESQUE POLAR. The first part follows Agent Lee Harker, flashbacks of his childhood just the appearance of Longlegs played by Nicolas Cage. His worst role his grand guignole makeup. The unbearable music that emphasizes unnecessarily, clichés seen and reviewed of the worship of SATAN. This film a purge that pales in comparison to all these films that marked the genre of Serial Killer Movie. A ⭐ for Maika Monroe
I absolutely agree with Grace about Joker. It is not just that it is a bad movie, it is about turning against those who loved the first movie and the character he created, as if he was pulling an immature prank on them.

It's just a trailer...it has nothing to do with whether the movie will be good, or if people will like it. If the costume and wigs are any indication, it may be a dud
@@dstarks360Well the movies its next to in trailer numbers all did very well. And the reception has been really good. It still depends on the movie but so far its looking good.
On the other hand she loved and supported The Marvels from day 1.
I'd replace Civil War with Metropolis. I see Civil War as a modern take on Apocalypse Now which had the same outline but took place in a different civil war. Metropolis was made by one man for one man. He could have saved himself some money and not release it.
Joker 2 is Todd Phillips' version of The Last Jedi and nobody can convince me otherwise.
Actually, even fans of the movie would agree with that.
make it make sense, you compare a series designed for children & teens (i.e.
Too bad.
Yup, has nothing to do with animation, and everything to do with storyline as far as I'm concerned. The female lead was unbelievable & unlikable.
@@TechWeLove Animation was not good either, didn't help.
Rings of Power is very good.
Grace calling people cowards while she gives lame excuses about putting movies she praised on her top 10 worst list because other people didn't like them. 😂
Right! Some entertaining moral gymnastics going on there for sure.
grace is so out of touch
I proudly say I haven't watched any of the top ten worst movies of 2024
Me neither… except Civil War. That is one of the best movies of the year IMO
Same here. None of them! 😂
I saw two, and Grace recommended one, but her reviews warned me to stay away from some of the others. Thanks, Grace.
Challengers was a “bisexual” film for straight people. Queer is authentic and people bash on it.
Queer is my favorite film of the year. I’m sorry it’s not connecting with people who are not gay.
Thank you for a wonderful 2024 Grace ❤
Grace I respect your insider knowledge and commentary on Hollywood, but your unpopular opinions on movies are just borderline unhinged.
Civil war was on your worst of 2024 list but you gave Kraven a positive rave review??
Although Joker 2 was pretty bad (I fell asleep so many times watching it on MAX), I kinda understand what Phillips was trying to do at the end: make Fleck no longer the Joker but rather an inspiration for the next Joker (an unknown, unnamed psychopath). Phillips execution in that idea was pretty awful.
Joker 3 will FORTUNATELY never happen! Couldn't be more glad n i even didn't watch first n second film
He was trying to deconstruct the first film. It's an artistically pure idea but doing so, especially with a jukebox musical, is such a risky move I would have been shocked if it turned out well.
Streaming these movies is probably cheaper than melatonin.
LMFAO 🤣
I actually really didn't like the first Joker but I loved Joker 2.
I don’t think Philips will ever direct a big budget movie again. He burned a lot of people.
Civil war is a great movie
It is to me!
indeed it was
Another video where Grace is so out of touch from reality.
Gladiator 2 was incredible and not a failure at all!
What i have cime to realise with Grace is once hwr mind is made up with a movie from casting to trailer and she hates it she will never like the movie no matter how good it is😂
Oh come on, I had a great time with TRAP. Silly, sure but insanely entertaining and well executed.
Field journalists are heroes. It’s the producers and studio journalist presenters that are the real issue with journalism
No Superman trailer review? Hmmm

It was so brilliant and so many people try to rewrite it to fit their narrative and it’s staggering to witness
Joker 2 doesn't deserve number 1
Gladiator 2 and civil war doesn't even deserve to be on the list
Horrible list grace.
😂😂😂
This is HER list 🤣
All 3 should be on this list. They’re uninspired, bland slop that misses the mark by miles.
It’s just her opinion haha. I agree though Civil War doesn’t belong on this list but that is my opinion.
@@gavinphillips9369 western filmmaking at its finest that will be rewarded at oscar 2025, lol
Can someone explain why she hates James Gunn?
Let's just say that they have a serious feud against each other
they bickered on twitter once
Lol if Grace likes your movie, that might be the sign of death
I can't believe Grace is putting out all these videos but isn't putting out a Superman reaction trailer or at least break down when everybody else has it just shows her disdain for James gun
Or… she is on CHRISTMAS VACATION WITH HER FAMILY…
Merry Merry Joy Joy Grace to you and your family ❤🎄❤🎉❤🎄❤
I loved Queer and Civil War 😭😭😭
#1 has to be megaflopolis
SURPRISED THAT SHE DIDN'T PUT VENOM 3 ON HERE!
How ON EARTH Is Gladiator 2 on this list !
Argyle is probably worse
I was shocked as well. There are a bunch of movies that are worse. G2 disappointed compared to expectations, but it was well received. Just didn't make the money it should have IF it had been great.
Because Gladiator 2 Sucked and was a cheap cash grab and the Most unnecessary Sequel ever made.
Don't worry guys.. 2025 is around the corner with a beer in hand.. = snow white. 🤔🤔😂😂😂
How is Kraven not higher? Kraven is a shit show.
I absolutely agree with Grace about Joker. It is not just that it is a bad movie, it is about turning against those who loved the first movie and the character he created, as if he was pulling an immature prank on them.
Civil War was THIS YEAR? So much has happened since the. 😭

I LOVED John Carter of Mars but apparently it was a big flop. Geez
Megalopolis was physically painful to watch
But she loved Megalopolis so idk. I find that whenever she loves movies, I usually end up disagreeing with her badly. Very rare occasions I agree with her.
I FEEL BAD FOR JOKER 2!
Civil War was amazing
Madame Web came out in February. Looking at the positives, Superman will be out in no time
