I would like to mention that at the official webpage of GoXLR Mini, in the documentation it says 24v of phantom power. Not 48v. Is that true? Does the Mini give only 24v of phantom power?
The novelty functions are the best in the biz though, right? If I were to purchase the goxlr it would be specifically for those features, is there a better/easier way to do that without purchasing the top of the line goxlr?
I want to c a video on the shciit stack amp/dac to a mixer, go xlr, or rodecaster pro to audio interface and how to wire. Sure sm7b for mic and dt 990's as headset. Only using sliders on go xlr or a mixer. There is only one video where he kinda explains it.
You may not need a pre-amp or need to apply phantom power to hear the SM7B but increasing the gain, increases the mic sensitivity so you'll get more static and background noise to fight down the audio chain. use a pre-amp trust me. everything else about the GoXLR is excellent. I have the mini a SE Dynamite lifter & SM7B and only now can I stop using a lot of noise suppression.
Wonderful video and exactly what I was hoping for. Thank you! I'm probably getting Samson Q9U and the GoXLR Mini since I have Noisegates, EQs, and Compressors set up in OBS already :)
Hi Kettner , i searched everywhere but cant find it nowhere. Im trying to completely reset my go xlr mini. The eq section foremost. I want it to be back on factory settings. I deleted the app and the saved profiles in the documents folder. After re install the same eq settings are applied
How do these units compare to the Rodecaster Pro 2 or something like the Apollo Twin? Looking for a live streaming solution with voice processing done in hardware (compression, gating, de-esser, etc). Also what about using something like a DBX 286s in front of say the mini?
Does anyone know if i can use the faders in the Go Xlr Mini to control dynamics and expression in virtual instruments? It would be cool if it was possible to assign them to CC#1 and CC#11 in my DAW.
I think the processing is ON THE BOADR for both so should be no delay. That's the precise reason I am about to upgrade from Wave 3 to one of these. Wave 3 software has a bad delay in the audio because of the software processing. But I would like confirmation of that as well.
@@TheTurtleCalledPablo I can confirm as I purchased and have no delay. But the GoXLR introduced a diff issue. The line out sucks and doens't properly work with high end speakers. Either have to use the headphone out for speakers and headphones or in my case I chose to leave my speakers connected to my PC. But this is annoying as it makes the GoXLR only usable when I am wearing headphones...which is "ok" since generally I got the device for streaming and would always be wearing headphones while streaming..but still disappointed that the line out doesn't function the same as the headphone out. It seems like the signal is reduced or doesn't go through the amp or something. Speakers sounded muddy and volume significantly reduced when using Line-Out as opposed to the headphone out.
I know you emphasized MOST people several times. But there are a bunch of really great RP streamers that use the sample pad to add realism to their characters. Even having different banks for different characters. It is a staple for many creative people, and I wouldn't write it off as a thing that is for meme's that gets old after a couple streams. I would argue that the stream quality is greatly increased with the large goxlr. Just my 2 cents.
Same. All they say is "Midas Preamps" so we can assume that it's similar to the preamp inside the Behringer Xenyx mixers. I also don't think they're completely transparent and are adding a bit of digital gain in addition to the analogue gain from the preamp.
Be careful, GoXLR do have 48V phantom power but the mini only has 24V as it doesn't have any external power supply! That's a big difference in between the 2. If you need 48V, you can't take the mini. It can be a real no go, more than the lack of DeEsser.
@@kettnercreative On the second page under the troubleshooting section it suggests turning on 24v phantom power for condensor mics. It's also stated in the analogue connections section under Specification on page 1.

Apparently where they do differ is in their shielding against electromagnetic interference.

Do you know if a DT797 (condenser mic) would work with the mini, considering it only has a 24V phantom power?

The best comparison and review videos online.
Single question: Can either be ran through an Anolog mixer?
You can always use the headphone output to run into another device if you're trying to do something really specific.
Jordan what settings from the equalizer on the mini is the same on the normal go xlr? which 6 of the mini are the same on the normal? Thank you.
Can the mini do the multiple-track recording? if yes how? cheer mate.
Can i still set reverb on the goxlr mini's software? :D

Will the GoXLR work to record voiceover?
I also would it work on zoom calls?
Best wishes
Thank you!
Do both of them have the processing on the board, or the PC? And do they both have 0 latency monitoring?

I don't disagree. But I still think 90% of people won't get the value from spending the extra $$

Does it support my bt dt 880pro 600 ohm and 990 pro 250 ohm headset ?
so i have the option to buy the GOXLR for 375$ brand new and the mini for 175$ brand new. which one would you buy at this price?
The goxlr was 550$ when I looked at it on amazon
They both have De-esser?

Not sure where you’re getting that info from. The published specs all say 48v and I’ve used many 48v mics with it no problem.
The document does state 24v of phantom power, but my condensor works without issue. (LCT 440 pure)
Wow, of course they try to hid it in the fine print...
Thank you!

Does the goxlr mini have a voice changer like can u change ur voice in the computer at least
Not built into the Mini's software. You'd need to find a 3rd party software/filter/plugin.
