Shoutouts to Matt Turk for setting the bar so high before speedruns were even really a thing. If he didn’t I promise this game would not be close to where it is today. Respect.
Sinister1 do we know anything else about him, or is he just some mystical figure who we haven’t learned anything about since? Like has he done runs on any other games?
@@australianclaude_527 He did a ghost and goblins run apparently but said the game was unplayable and that is the only other thing I have found. Dude is a mystery.
@Sinister1 Good to see such comradery and friendship in speedrunning. I still remember when Punch-Out! Wii was being broken, all because someone tried to SkipTheTutorial and revived this community’s interest in it. You all make up the prime example of what speedrunning, both for community and mentality, should strive to be.
Beating the Turk times was unbelievably difficult, and took incredible teamwork to achieve. I'm so glad the community was able to come together and bring this game to incredible heights. Turk truly was ahead of his time with how hard he pushed the game.
Salt revealing he has the Mike Tyson record by 12 seconds is like when the old man is telling you an epic tale by a fire and as he walks away into the darkness you realize the story was about him
Really great retelling of how brutally difficult it was to improve Turk's records. I'm so glad Turk pushed the game so hard so early when speedrunning as a whole was in its infancy. It really was significant to have been able to get close to any of his legendary records, let alone tie or break any of them. Shoutouts to everyone for pushing this game to the limit!
You ever heard about Fermat's Last Theorem? The guy wrote a note in a book's margin claiming he'd found a great proof for this math theorem but didn't have room to write it there. For hundreds of years, other mathematicians tried to find a proof, while many doubted that Fermat ever had proven it, thinking maybe he was just trolling all along. But at last, in the 1990s, someone did find a proof, and developed all kinds of innovative new techniques to do so. Maybe it never mattered whether Fermat really had a proof, maybe the important thing was how he inspired others to strive for something. When you talked about Turk's records that had no video evidence, it reminded me of that story.
For those who don’t wanna check the dates, Salt got the World Record after creating this masterpiece of a video. He documented the history of this game & then beat everyone anyways…absolute legend
Matt Turk is like those lore characters in epic fantasy where the characters have to dig up old lore and shit and figure out techniques that he already knew about years ago. Mad.
For those wondering, as of 2022 Summoning Salt completely dominates Mike Tyson's Punch Out holding the number 1 record in all 6 categories of the game, including blindfolded. What a Chad.
I just looked that up because I was just like "oh no fucking way"...and it turns out you're completely right. SummoningSalt does indeed hold the world record for all categories _(except Single Segment High Score, but that's for points instead of time and it has two entries anyway)_
Imagine being so legendary that it takes a game's *entire community* several years to beat *most* of of your best times, and even then can only tie some of them. You can't beat Matt Turk because *that* is Matt Turk's true record.
Remember, Matt Turk himself was doing it "alone" for over half a decade between 2004 and 2009, and by "alone", this means he kept contact with a few people on non-public forum, because any public forum for speedruns of this game was straight up dead at the time. And these people were dedicated people who liked taking games apart, but not dedicated to single games the way someone like Matt Turk was. So they left one by one. He had a community but a declining one. When people found out this and wanted to start building up a community - THERE WAS NO COMMUNITY. Everyone who arrived and faced up to Turk's challenge was doing it from the seemingly dauntless perspective of knowing absolutely no one else who ever took this game seriously. Anyone who had previously was seemingly gone, or was never much too serious in the same place, or had moved on to other games LONG before the game go to the standard pushed by Matt Turk, and had no significant input to give. And it's hard to find the motivation to do so, be the first in on the challenge, without either the validation of accomplishment that other are paying atenttion, or support of others finding out or digging up forgotten old strats to help you along with. It's hard to keep playing the same old video game, over and over, one little bit at a time, for months on end at a time, with runs and re-runs numbering in the thousands, all for a number that, if you get it, you'll be posting about it a crowd equal in impact as pissing the accomplishment in the wind, and from whom you'll be getting no more helpful hands than from your own echo. It's not anyone that can do that. It takes someone outstanding. It's very, VERY likely that from late 2007 onwards, Matt Turk was himself improving the few times he had left to improve completely on the lonesome, and writing guides on a long-term perspective or archiving the knowledge, rather than a short-term one of any semblance of a community. In fact, it's NOT AT ALL A COINCIDENCE that his last and less precise accomplishment, Soda Popinski, went completely undocumented on methodology: He didn't find anyone that would care to archive that knowledge. He left the community the same way it was later found: Deserted. And yet, he preserved up to that point, and kept trying to get that world record on everything till the end despite that. Because he was outstanding.
Definitely. He clearly enjoyed the game enough to set such incredible records, so to then see its community grow in the sole effort to beat those times must have been awesome
That ending hit me like a fucking truck dude. Not only do you see how even more insane improvements have been made to beat these seemingly "impossible" times, but it caps off with the creator of the fucking video itself completely blasting apart Mike Tyson by 12 in-game seconds. My jaw was on the floor. Absolute king shit. What an emotional rollercoaster, and a fantastic video.
What makes Salt's record even more impressive is that in order to get his time, you need enough short delays to get a mid-1:25 or earlier 2nd Knockdown so Tyson can throw one uppercut in Phase 3, which saves a few seconds. To this day, Salt is the only player on the current leaderboard to achieve this, everyone else didn't get this extra uppercut, ending in a 2:05. The limit is 1:58, but you're more likely to get a 2:00 flat
Not only did he set the World Record, he left detailed strategies behind so the future generations could analyze his methods and improve them for better results. What a legend
Matt Turk truly understands speed running. It’s both a competition, but it’s also a community project where everyone is working together to push a game to its limits.
It's not really a humblebrag; those are something else. It's amazing how SS really seems to almost avoid receiving any kind of glory for his Tyson accomplishments. In his other Tyson video he only mentioned himself once when he took the record, and that was it.
I've noticed Karl Jobst does the same thing, he did a new Goldeneye video recently and didn't even mentioned that he himself broke a few of the long standing records.
I was floored once I saw that. I actually had no idea that SummoningSalt was a speed runner. I just thought he made top tier videos about speed running.
I love how Summoning Salt, the current world record holder for Mike Tyson, never lets his own participation in the speedrunning community get in the way or steal the limelight away from the overall narrative of everyone coming together to push these games to their absolute limit. One of the reason why this is the number 1 channel I go to for videos about speedrunning
Right?? Came here to say this! I just thought he made these great videos; didn't know he was a speed runner. To see him make this incredible video, giving credit to EVERYONE for their amazing hard work, and then for him to not even say his own accomplishment but instead show it on the screen for one second... That's what heroes do.
@@ObservationofLimits His very first video is actually about the history of the Mike Tyson fight. The TL; DR; is that, beyond insane levels of execution and luck, it's possible to down Mike Tyson enough before 1:30 that he does one more of those uppercuts. This lets you do a bunch more damage early and massively accellerates the fight.
I love Khananaphone's reaction to beating a Matt Turk time. This guy who barely speed runs the game, grinding attempts on a fight no one wants to do because it is all luck, no skill, gets the record by a fraction of a second after hundreds of attempts, and all he says is "Hey I beat Don 2."
My cynical ass kept expecting this to end up being a "it was revealed he lied/cheated" type thing. I'm so glad I was wrong. This was a fantastic video.
@@fluorinegas6944 Don't hear from Matt Turk, Summoning Salt has quite the assurance his records were true without footage, and he seems to know an awful lot about him. Hmm. Coincidence?

@@yesno7264 they had to to make fights less repetitive, coding a 1/8 chance is easier than making a bunch of new sprites, new mechanics, etc. they literally had to choose between gameplay and making the game fun or making it less random. I guess don 2 doesn’t make that much sense though.
Fun fact: Summoning is still playing the game, holding the record for Single segment, 90 minute, AWC and RTA aswell as Mike Tyson and since last month Piston Honda 2
fun fact: about 2 years ago, when this video first came out, i watched it and was inspired. after a bit of practice, i officially became the world record holder for the blindfolded speedrun of the first don flamenco fight. it's a bit of a freebee but it's still nice to be a record holder :)
The most impressive thing in this story is Matt Turk, he set these incredible times before speedrunning was even popular. The times he set took tons of people 5 years to beat, not 1 speedrunner could match his consistent skill in the game back then. Nowadays his runs are still great despite some of them being 15 years old.

@FullTimeSlacker It still works because "everyone gangsta" can also imply chill, and no one's chill when they see a Summoning Salt upload. But since it's not used for the meme's original purpose, I'll give you this one.
There's something poetic about the fact that the very final beacon of hope wasn't from an old TAS, it didn’t come from McHazard's TAS efforts, it came from someone from Turk's era. Someone who had been in the speedrunning scene of Punch-out in the distant past, and came back
and so dominant he pushed the running community for a game somewhere it never could have gotten otherwise. the duality of being really good at punch out
I'm just glad to know Matt Turk wasn't found to have forged his speedruns and he got his times through nothing more than years of practice and honed, unprecedented skills, thus making the times all the sweeter to have been beaten

Plot twist: "Matt Turk" is actually SummoningSalt, and SummoningSalt is just Matt Turk waxing about the old days when he was REALLY into 'Mike Tyson's Punch Out' and has come out of retirement to reclaim his prized Mike Tyson record.
I love how TAS runs have evolved over the years to not be dirty among speed runners but a tool to be used and then you have the TAS engineering wizards that figure out and build runs... it's insane.
59:03 I love how you made a very well thought out, meticulously researched, very entertaining, hour long video just to tell everyone you hold the world record against Tyson. I like your style, sir.
its not a flex, he is just showing current world records again matt turk's records, it just so happens that summoningsalt is the world record holder for this game in nearly every category. It really shows how humble he is that he didn't talk about his history with the game and instead kept the story focused on the legendary people that revolutionized the game after it was lost for so long
You must realize the greatness of those I've defeated, to realize the greatness of me. - birdisyourword I wonder if any famous person has ever said anything like that before. Like, I wonder if that's an already established famous quote/saying. Idk of any, I just thought that up myself. Edit: this is why I've never understood the whole trash talking thing in the UFC or in other sports... if the guy boasting he's the greatest, yet trash talking his opponent, saying he's no good, he sucks, Then it wouldn't be a big deal at all for the so-called greatest to beat the so-called worst... it's just to be expected. Especially if he spoke that way about everyone he's defeated... what makes him so great then, if everyone he's ever fought has just been trash amateurs? What did he actually conquer to become so great? Now, if you told me, "I'm the champ, but my next opponent is someone I consider to be an expert, a near master in the sport. I'm up for an incredible challenge and if i come out on top, it will be the greatest achievement of my career!" That right there would tell me that this match up is the best of the best, the ultimate match up worth watching, it might be a history making match. It would also show great respect for the sport & its participants, as well as the greatest sportsmanship. That was my attitude when i took TaeKwonDo as well, I wanted to find everyone who was better than me to compete against, so if I lost, I could then learn from them and expand my knowledge & skill in the sport. What's the fun in competing against no competition?
My favourite "character" on this documentary is Jack Wedge. The guy was an old schooler on Punch-Out, even held a record at some point, but like all the other old schoolers, he was beaten by Matt Turk. Watching the new generation beat every Turk's record each time, in silence... but then, on the last record, on the most difficult of them, with almost no margin to improve, years later, he appears and gives his contribution, which is essential for the new generation to finally take down the last Turk Time standing. Tell me you have not watched an anime, movie or series with this type of character in your life. The older one giving his hand to help the heroes in the crucial time.
Anime Heroes: "It cannot be done, Matt Turk's final form is too powerful to be defeated!" Old Shadowy Figure: "I believe I might be of assistance..." Anime Heroes: "Master Jack Wedge?!? Huh? You've been retired for generations!" Retired Master Jack Wedge: "Yes, I have been in isolation waiting for this day to come. However, I always known there would come a time where Matt Turk would show weakness." Anime Heroes: "But he's too strong! We have tried everything!" Retired Master Jack Wedge: "There is a secret technique, long lost from the history books. Your generation would not know of it. With it I believe Matt Turk can finally be defeated." Anime Heroes: "Whaaaa!?" Retired Master Jack Wedge: "The technique is called 'The Screwdriver'"
This is totally accurate. I mean, he shows up with a mysterious new technique-that he NAMED-that proves crucial to defeating the reigning champ. There is no cooler entrance in fiction.
This is still my favorite summoning salt video. The premise is just so good, and the story is epic. I've come back so many times over the past 2 years and Matt turk is still this mythical figure in the community.
Never gonna forget that feeling when I saw Salts name with the WR of Tyson. Seriously admire someone who doesnt rub it in or anything, only mentioning it with the rest of the times. I seriously love this channel
How this guy narrates this is just amazing. Summoning salt fills a particularly part of UA-cam being the guy who covers speed runs and tbh nobody can do this better than him. There's probably going to be thousands of comments on this video but to anyone taking the time to read this one thank you two thank you summoning salt for putting all this time and effort into these videos. You are a pillar of the speed running community and the gaming community as a whole. I hope to see more videos from you in the near future. But now I'm going to watch this thingm
Most of what I know about the speed running community is through watching Summoning Salt's videos on UA-cam. There is a certain calmness to his voice that i find almost hypnotic. Something that I can blaze to, chill out and watch.
The fact that Salt has the WR for Mike Tyson in general, but by such a large margin, and only showing that on screen for a second out of an hour long video just adds immensely to my respect for Salt. I didn't even know he was a decorated speedrunner, but...damn, man. Props. You were already far and above the best channel to make content like this and one of the best content creators on the site but I guess you're an incomprehensible living legend as well (Do a video on your time plz???)
He already has many videos on his times, if you scroll back to the earliest ones you can find them, including a full Punch out record progression, that's how he started making world record progression videos.
Summoning Salt: Spends 8 minutes recounting how hard it was for anyone to beat Mike Tyson in under 2:13 Also Summoning Salt: Doesn't verbally acknowledge that he beat Myke Tyson in 2:05
@@tom_ad9343 Yeah, it's kind of funny, because his old Tyson WR progression video was made when he was the record holder with an almost as good as possible time, but he noted at the end that it could be even better... and now it is, and he holds the WR by like 5 seconds. Kind of ridiculous. It's funny that the Tyson fight was so ridiculously hard, and yet was one of the fights that had the most space for improvement even still.
I really like that having those records broken meant Matt was vindicated as legendary and honest. His times in my book where all absolutely legitimate. I hope Wii fit's Matt boxer is honouring him
The fact that Turk figured all this out basically on his own YEARS before anyone else and then told no one his secrets is probably the most impressive. In other words, Matt Turk was so ahead of his time, he is probably one of the best video game speedrunners in the world.
He reminds of Paul Morphy, a legendary chess player from the 1800s who was quite literally decades of his time, then gave it up to become a lawyer. To this day, no one knows how he got so good.
I remember when i last played this game a while ago ( i played Punch-out only 3 or 4 times in my entire life, for a short time ) Glass Joe was beating by me in even less time. It is possible to force him to do his power punch attempt way earlier, not waiting, FORCE HIM, you can beat him in a few seconds means somewhere between 10 and 20 seconds.., i did it, but not recorded it, i play only for fun, i should mention that my IQ is over 130.. also all the other fights are also possible to win very fast.. In case of Glass Joe,, try it out, force him to do his power punch , DON'T WAIT !!!
You know, I kinda forgot he is a Punch-Out speedrunner, so seeing his name for the Mike Tyson fight at the end confused me for a sec, not gonna lie. Great video dude, it was a great way to spend quarantine for a hour.
I think it's cool that the community honored Matt Turk's records. While I know it was common back then to not record your speedruns, other communites might not honor a record without more proof. The fact that they took the time to look into it, and then were set on beating the best - is what makes this sport so special. Like these players could have taken an easy out, but were like - hell no, we know what the actual best time is and we are GOING TO beat it.
The speedrunning community basically made a 5 year project out of validating all of Turk's times. The title doesn't suggest it, but this is an homage to Turk. Greatest MTPO player fosho.
@@SB-pf5rc I never realized that until you pointed out, but your comment gave me chills. You are so right. I am new to the speedrunning community (only have seen videos from Summoning Salt). But man I have so much respect and admiration for what this community does. Literally incredible.
Matt Turk is like some ancient god. His strats long since forgotten to time never to be worshipped. It's honestly insane that such a player exists for a speedgame. EDIT: Around 10 minutes you mention that Turk came back and beat the record yet someone else beat the record but didn't have a recording. Why is Turk allowed to keep unrecorded record but at the same time he cant? I can understand the standards for older records but it sounded like these were achieved at similar times.
Because the other time was a 2.19.97...which is slower...dumbass. I regret liking this comment a year ago if you're just gonna edit it with something completely unrelated at the end.
In Matt Turk's Punch Out you must defeat every opponent by either tying or beating Matt's times. Failure to do so will result in a loss. There is no game over system, as that would be too unfair. You can also save after beating every fight, and can re-match opponents that you have previously beaten in a time attack mode. After beating Mike Tyson, the game will autosave without asking you (trust me, you will need it). You will face one more fight, Matt Turk himself. He will spend the first 42 seconds taunting you and throwing no punches unless provoked (a reference to the first two records that others have beaten) his counter punches are insanely fast and do massive damage. If you manage to dodge them, you will be able to hit back, but damage will be minimum and he will recover quickly. Assuming that Matt has landed a hit on you, he will do a fast variation of Mac's iconic star punch at the 42 second mark. The wind up will be much like Sandman's Dreamland Express, a quick flash before an insanely fast punch that is an instant knock down. Dodging this leaves him vulnerable to 5 punches, but that is it. After this, it will be rapid combos of straights and uppercuts that all do lots of damage. His goal is to ko you 3 times as fast as possable. You can counter his punches, but you won't be able to do a lot of damage. Star punches also won't work on him, he will quickly dodge them and respond with a fast counter that is undodgeable. If you somehow survive round one, things get a little bit more extreme and Matt's gimicks will come in to effect. Matt will have 3 star punches that he can unleash at random. He will also use fake punches (in a reference to guard manipulation) in order to make you dodge or block accidently, which he will quickly punish you for. These fake outs will have a different sound effect, so you will be able to get used to them with practice. You better make sure that you are good at speedrunning and have taken him down before the end of this round, because Matt will punish you for it in round 3 Round 3 has Matt using faster variations of all the major gimick attacks from previous boxers. The Honda Rush, Tiger's Tornado Attack (I forget the name), The Bull Charge, The Dreamland Express, The Super Macho Spin, Tyson's 90 seconds of OHKO uppercutts, and finally, a Star Punch. If you survive and properly counter attack all of those, Matt will finally go down and not get back up, regardless of how much health he had left or how few times you knocked him down.
@@Raindrop_2401 I've been saving this pre-fight message for a while... "This is going to be a painful fight..." Originally intended for a silly idea for another game.
The fact that salt doesn't even mention his world record for Mike Tyson for the entire video until 59:05, right at the end, with nothing but a subtle line of text speaks volumes to his humility. He'll talk the whole video about how every other person mentioned is an amazing player, and how brutal the luck and execution is for all of them, then he gives himself 3 seconds of text, not even spoken words, at the very end, knowing a portion of people watching have already clicked off, and those who haven't might not even notice it's him. Him regarding himself as really "just another name" in the punch out scene gives me a whole lot of respect for him. I just love how when zallarrd beats mr. sandman record he doesn't says 'I got the world record" or something like that... No, he says "I beat one of Matt Turl's times". And this is what I love about this speedrun community in general, the sheer love of respect and camaraderie between the players, and how Matt Turk became this ultimate end game boss like figure on it and inspired everyone else to get better. Without him, the world of speed run would be a vastly different and lonelier place.
This is usually how it is with retro games. Growing up through the 90s, it's normal to see the respect between players. They talk to each other as if they are on a couch and playing together, that's what was great about back then. Sharing your videos and times made it feel like that even more. Most retro game communities are like that. Sadly now days with the more modern games, speedrunners are kinda douchey and toxic. Not all of them are tho.
I still look at Turk as the goat. All these “finally took him down” proofs just serve to show how far ahead he always was, before he casually stepped aside so the streamers could have a go with TASers clearing new paths for them.
even if someone gets all records ever again, and even if they get every theoretically perfect time, i will still consider matt turk to be either the goat or tied for the goat

I wish I could save comments on youtube, just for these interesting tidbits.

nice bait
Imagine being so legendary that it takes a game's *entire community* several years to beat *most* of of your best times, and even then can only tie some of them. You can't beat Matt Turk because *that* is Matt Turk's true record.
Indeed
Reminds me of Hotarubi's Super Metroid record.
Turk's times was what motivated the entire community during the 2010's. Who knows what today's records would look like without him.
Raynman Gaming matt turk is the true definition of a major league gamer
I feel like Matt Turk watching his records being slowly taken felt like a proud dad.
I hope so!!! Way to go Matt Turk, absolute LEGEND!!!!
Definitely. He clearly enjoyed the game enough to set such incredible records, so to then see its community grow in the sole effort to beat those times must have been awesome
@@coolnoah8183 A true dad watching his sons carry on his legacy
Matt Turk is probably time traveller and those times are records from his timeline
That ending hit me like a fucking truck dude.

Rappers these days spend a track telling you how great they are. This man takes a whole hour just to set up a flex. Godlike madladdery.
its not a flex, he is just showing current world records again matt turk's records, it just so happens that summoningsalt is the world record holder for this game in nearly every category. It really shows how humble he is that he didn't talk about his history with the game and instead kept the story focused on the legendary people that revolutionized the game after it was lost for so long
You must realize the greatness of those I've defeated, to realize the greatness of me. - birdisyourword
I wonder if any famous person has ever said anything like that before. Like, I wonder if that's an already established famous quote/saying. Idk of any, I just thought that up myself.
Edit: this is why I've never understood the whole trash talking thing in the UFC or in other sports... if the guy boasting he's the greatest, yet trash talking his opponent, saying he's no good, he sucks,
Then it wouldn't be a big deal at all for the so-called greatest to beat the so-called worst... it's just to be expected.
I'm up for an incredible challenge and if i come out on top, it will be the greatest achievement of my career!"
That right there would tell me that this match up is the best of the best, the ultimate match up worth watching, it might be a history making match. It would also show great respect for the sport & its participants, as well as the greatest sportsmanship. That was my attitude when i took TaeKwonDo as well, I wanted to find everyone who was better than me to compete against, so if I lost, I could then learn from them and expand my knowledge & skill in the sport. What's the fun in competing against no competition?
bubsedoodles it’s called a joke. You know, comedic hyperbole or misconception. Maybe you don’t.
I want to meet Jack Wedge some day
Anime Heroes: "It cannot be done, Matt Turk's final form is too powerful to be defeated!"
Old Shadowy Figure: "I believe I might be of assistance..."
Anime Heroes: "Master Jack Wedge?!? Huh? You've been retired for generations!"
Retired Master Jack Wedge: "Yes, I have been in isolation waiting for this day to come. However, I always known there would come a time where Matt Turk would show weakness."
Anime Heroes: "But he's too strong! We have tried everything!"
Retired Master Jack Wedge: "There is a secret technique, long lost from the history books. Your generation would not know of it. With it I believe Matt Turk can finally be defeated."
Anime Heroes: "Whaaaa!?"
Retired Master Jack Wedge: "The technique is called 'The Screwdriver'"
esotericVideos I’d watch it

I agree. It’s a blue moon when I find a person like this. I miss the old times where speedruning was popular.
Nivek Six Karl Jobst doesnt have the narration quality imo. His style is more bro and less professional that SS
Most of what I know about the speed running community is through watching Summoning Salt's videos on UA-cam. There is a certain calmness to his voice that i find almost hypnotic. Something that I can blaze to, chill out and watch.
Salt for the progression history, bismuth for the mechanics.
Karl Jobst did the same thing in one of his Goldeneye videos. They're both absolute legends!
Lol 😂 @ “decorated speed runner” wtf haha 😂
He already has many videos on his times, if you scroll back to the earliest ones you can find them, including a full Punch out record progression, that's how he started making world record progression videos.
Summoning Salt: Spends 8 minutes recounting how hard it was for anyone to beat Mike Tyson in under 2:13
Also Summoning Salt: Doesn't verbally acknowledge that he beat Myke Tyson in 2:05
To be fair, he did make an entire video on the subject, his first video in fact.
Definitely an impressive show of restraint though.
He also just got a record for beating Piston Honda 2 in 40.61
The end of his video states he beat Mike Tyson in 2:01
@@tom_ad9343 Yeah, it's kind of funny, because his old Tyson WR progression video was made when he was the record holder with an almost as good as possible time, but he noted at the end that it could be even better... and now it is, and he holds the WR by like 5 seconds. Kind of ridiculous. It's funny that the Tyson fight was so ridiculously hard, and yet was one of the fights that had the most space for improvement even still.
The room for improvement is because it’s so hard.
Mr Meme thanks for the new rabbithole I’m going down
Yeah, and the fact that all of his records were tied or beaten means they were legit accomplishable, not made up.

Mike Tyson's Punch Out is for the cool kids
Matt Turk's Punch Out is for champions
I wanna play Matt Turk’s Punch-Out now
In Matt Turk's Punch Out you must defeat every opponent by either tying or beating Matt's times.
You better make sure that you are good at speedrunning and have taken him down before the end of this round, because Matt will punish you for it in round 3
Round 3 has Matt using faster variations of all the major gimick attacks from previous boxers.
Man, Matt Turk’s punch out is a classic!
Someone, I don't care who (preferably Matt possibly). Make that Rom Hack happen.

Originally intended for a silly idea for another game.
