Just bought a 2003 Silverado. The paint is rough but the clear coat is there. need to get that thing buffed

@MPPACADEMY Definitely. I have a griots 6 inch polisher. I have never attempted a paint correction.
@chemicalspore you can do a great 2 step with that machine, with the fast correcting cream + knitted wool pad, and follow up with a yellow pad and and perfecting cream

I've been using Adam's Polishes for about a year now, but I am not that happy with their polishes nor the leadership at Adam's anymore. I will be trying Griot's BOSS after seeing lots of great reviews.
Have you tried the perfecting cream with the black pad? Thinking about doing 2 step with correcting cream with the orange pad then perfecting cream with the black. Almost as a jeweling step. Not sure if it will be worth the time or not.
It COULD work, but because the black pad isn’t abrasive, it may not with the abrasives in the perfecting cream into the paint, and depending on the hardness of the paint, it could cause marring because those abrasives are just riding on top of the paint, as opposed to being worked into the paint by an abrasive pad

I got new brushes at my local hardware store and repacked the bearings with better grease. Clean up the body with microfiber towels and griots interior cleaner spray. Looks brand new 😀
