- Dr. Tansavatdi DISCUSSES: Her recommendations for a low inflammatory diet after surgery to optimize healing and to contribute to longevity!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today we are going to address a common question we get from surgical patients: what can I eat after surgery?
Particularly for Facelift and Rhinoplasty, we recommend a soft diet. We do not recommend eating a lot of carbohydrates since it can slow down your healing. It's better to minimize how much you take in during recovery.
What you want to think about are foods that are:
- High protein
- High fat
- Low carbs
Good carbohydrates are those with high fiber: Boiled and soft vegetables, lentils, and beans. Good high-fat sources include meat, dairy (creme and milk), coconut milk (or oil).

What are treatments for breast hematoma. I recently had a breast reduction about 3 weeks ago. I noticed my left breast healed nicely. I did noticed I felt an internal ball/ lump. I feel like it moves when I sit up after laying down, idk if that's normal or not. Also, my right breast is swollen and bruised. I did contact my doctor about this issue, I saw the nurse, she examined to me that I have a hematoma, and mentioned to get proper rest, and the swelling will go away. Next day, I was asleep, woke up and I had a blood mark on my shirt. I immediately started to freak out. I went to the bathroom and took my medical bra off, I noticed I was leaking blood from the same breast that the doctor said I have a hematoma in. I called my doctor and he said it was okay for that to happen. He said the blood found a way out and that's okay.
I just want to know what do surgeon's do in this case? I feel like my doctor isn't worried about the hematoma. I don't want to develop any blood clots or develop more complications.
Please help.
Can you have caffeine such as coffee in the morning or iced tea during the day?
No
What about collegen
So is that basically surgery
what about cheese?
Can I eat chicken upter rhinoplasty surgery 4 days later...😮💨 Because I thought my health is not good...
Are fried food is okay? (For example chicken and fries)
No, probably not the best food to have after surgery particularly because the oils used for frying are unhealthy and at high temperatures it can cause the oil to become more inflammatory.
@@FaceliftExpert Okay thanks for the advice. Gonna get my plaster out on 24th May
Brown sugar in the oatmeal??? You just said to avoid carbs. Sugar is not helpful for keeping the insulin spike low. 😖
Yes, Professor R. you are right! Sugar and carbs are not helpful for keeping insulin low. However, people sometimes need options to make their food more palatable.
@Proffessor R: listening & understanding ...anyone ? Moderation is the 🔑 word .
@@FaceliftExpert also, the fiber in the oats and fruit can help to slow the insulin spike. I like a teaspoon or so of pure maple syrup on my oats and fruit. Thanks for great diet advice.
I got my nail out a A piece of it and they slept it
The background music is so NOT necessary and actually is quite distracting verging into annoying. I gave a thumbs up though and appreciate the information.
Thanks Sheesh for the comments. I'll ask my team to look into the background music.
@@FaceliftExpert no I actually enjoy the music it is very soothing
ive just had my nose job done it's now 18 days. Suppose i'm not allowed to eat beef, chicken, no eggs, seafood for 1-3 months. Pork is recommended. is this just an asian superstition or could it possibly facts. Thanks Doctor

Telling people to add sugar to their oatmeal while healing…what a joke!
How about butter in my coffee?
