I just finished a 6 block blanket using this tutorial! I absolutely love how you made it so easy to figure out the math part. I used the One Pound Caron yarn, in white, 13 squares in length, started the hdc for the border and ran out of yarn - I thought I had another skein, but don't, so I will be going to JoAnn's for more yarn. My husband said that I just wanted an excuse to go to JoAnn's. Lol!

Hi! I love your pattern! It’s so pretty! I just had one question. When you’re doing the hdc for the border, what do you do for the sides when you didn’t crochet? I’m just putting two in each space and then one in each chain but I just want to be sure that its right. Thank you 😊.

Brilliant tutorial,I crocheted this blanket a year ago with the intention of selling it but when I completed it I couldn’t part with it and couldn’t put a price on it . It’s the most beautiful blanket /Afghan I’ve ever crocheted and the border makes it that beautiful. I was going to gift it to my newborn niece but couldn’t part with it so I crocheted another one the exact same . Itl always be the most beautiful blanket I’ve ever crocheted . Thanks for ur tutorial 💗

Joanna I love yr video just have a quick question on your starting ch would it be 7 @ the end instead of 6 because you have the space there you have a ch2(sp) ch3(dc) ch2(sp). Then @ the end of every row have a ch5 because of a sp2 ch3 sp2. I hope I'm explaining myself right.

    • @suzannedix5088

I understand you Tammy and I think you are right... should be 7 at one end and 5 at the other... Also the first sc in the pattern was put in the 3rd chain but it should have been in the middle one. I think this is one of the nicest voices to listen to on youTube, and this is a lovely blanket.

      +Anita S. (Anita3kids) I'm so happy you like my video/patten!
Choosing a favorite yarn is hard.....I mostly work with worsted weight yarns.
But I do love all lion brand category 3 yarns. It's lighter than worsted (4) and lion brand has lots to choose from if you want natural yarns or acrylic.
(I'm not sponsored by them or anything!)
Almost any weight of yarn can work for this pattern.

This is exquisite! I can see many applications for this very easy-to-work pattern. Your border is so pretty and the best part is not having to sew all those blocks together at the end! I also greatly appreciate that you provided instructions at the beginning for how to determine the starting chain for whatever size we choose to make. Love it. Thank you, Jonna. You're the best! :)
