just wanted to give you kids props on your video. we went to the actual sight to watch the recomended video and it wouldnt play. you guys did a great job with yours.
Just got the Dx4 - Toys R Us going OOB. I charged it last night... put batteries in this evening (remote).. like most guys.. DIDN'T read anything on it. Got it to take off, did not know how I did it and WHAM! to the ceiling.. I am like OMG (wife heard)... said take it outside.. I did.. with my son. Got it to hover and take off (did not know how I did it). It is breezy today and LOL.. thank GAWD no traffic. the DX4 got to be MAYBE 3ft off the ground after I pressed random button's and sticks to bring it down to catchable height and it headed into the street (now my wife is laughing and almost peeing her self) watching me yell NOOOOOOOOOOOOO and running after it.. All I could imagine was BANG right into a Tesla (the DX4 not me - I looked both ways), caught it with the remote's antenna and brought it back to the yard. Got it started and what did it do! LOL.. straight up into a tree. I am like .. note.. read and watch other people.

I loved this video so much back in 2018
Don't depend on auto land completely...if it is out of range, auto land will not work. This camera has the most stable video feed (in regards to freezes and drop outs) I've seen on toy grade wifi. the drone also uses 8mm motors (8020) that are commonly available and about as big as you are going to find on this sized drone.

Best budget drone is a dracon bugs 3 you can purchase it for 75 to 79$ on amazon, not saying this is a bad drone. Brushless moters makes the flying easier with way more power

I have a question: Do you know the type of battery connector that this drone uses, and which battery I should get as a replacement, since that battery that it came with has gotten too old to be able to fly more than just a couple of minutes?

I have this DX4 drone, but i was woundering if i can replace the camera for a better camera? It has a good camera, but, i am getting into photograpy and wanted a better looking image and video that i can sell. Can i replace the camera with a gopro camera? Or is there upgraded parts to make this better? Also, the wind takes it, if i make it a little heavyer, will it be more stable in on windy days? Is this drone customizable?

When mine starts to lose battery, the red and white LEDs blink for about a minute, then it auto-lands itself.
I just got one of these this week. It's my first drone too. I got antsy wanting to fly it and took it out on a day with a little too much wind. No damage, but it definitely hit the ground too hard a couple times so I quit for the day. I thought the same as you, that it takes the motors too long after a crash to shut down. I'm hoping to take it out again in a couple days without wind and try it again.
Check your instructions, should be a way, both stick to bottom out or in...this should shut down 1-2 seconds. Turning the controller off takes longer usually. Wind is harder for a beginner.

I can only take off once. Once i cant take off anymore, has to power off and on again for it to be able to take off again. Any i dead why?
I just literally finished two flights with this awesome little drone. This thing is awesome. Thanks for the video review it swayed me to buy this. I actually got one for me and my dad even bought one. Also when the drone battery is getting low the drones lights flash repeatedly until it dies completely. While streaming I got around 8-10 minutes of flight time.

I watch video and I have a d x 5 mine the forward butt9n doesn't seem to spring back to normal like video you have to bring it back. And auto land when pressed the drone takes off like full power anyone else got this going on. Just got for Christmas and I'm thinking of returning it....
I got my first one stuck in a neighbors tree while it was snowing hard so had to get another one lol pretty fun in general though for sure.

can somone help me. I just got the same drone for my birthday it worked fine until 2 days later i turned it on and the drone lights flicker really fast and it wont connect to the remote either. if you could find an answer i would really appreciate it thanks!
AlexGaming03 try turning on the controller first, then the drone, then pushing the left stick up and down. If that doesn't work, there must be some sort of defect and I recommend you bring it to a hobby store or wherever you got it to fix it.

So I have one of these drones, have taken several videos with it, looks fine when I watch it on my phone on which the video is saved, but when I try and view it in imovie on my computer the quality of the footage is terrible, andy idea why?
Gaelen Mast there might be something wrong with the file compression or your settings. If you look into those you should be able to fix the problem
Need help all reviews I've seen of this drone won't tell but how can I make it just hover? I've tried just not touching the joysticks but it still moves by itself. Please help
to make it hover make sure you turn up the auto stabilization and try to fix your direction trimming. ex) if the drone goes forward when you want it to hover direction trim it backwards.
It will not hold column position like a GPS drone, but it will hold height unless in high wind. That way you only have one stick to steer it. The throttle is just an occasional tweek up or down. Very easy and fun. Then the auto land is easy. Just steer it to a level spot. like a real aircraft.

Is there a way to angle the camera so you can fly above something and point the camera down and it will be a overhead view?
kunglao 72 nope, you can fly forwards and it can tilt a bit down

Syma X5c-1 is a POS, Any Syma with an H in the name will be better it stands for hover, and is altitude hold

I did like it and I enjoyed it very much, till it picked up another signal and flew off towards Mexico lol Never found it Sad to say, except the camera was crap. But other then that was super easy to fly and nice handling and all that.

The manual says you can adjust direction trim and spin trim but no buttons exist for spin trim.

A Fly technically you could adjust it by adjusting the speed but there's no dedicated button

Bryan Long there is probably a problem with the motor. if you bring it into a hobby aotre they can find out the specific problem and help you out.

My dx 4 is awesome but the camera doesn't work ansometimes it goes haywire.
Jackson Fisch glad to hear you like it, and sorry to hear it malfunctions. Try bringing it to a hobby store or wherever you bought it and ask if there's a way to fix it or get a refund
my camera didn’t work at first , the app it tells you to get has a few that look the same but only one of the four i tried actually worked so try the other apps that look the same , it helps

Christina berry, I turn on the drone, then the remote. I keep the throttle stick in the middle then go up and down like the manual says. It works successfully.

This is a very good drone for taking videos and racing. However, I would recommend starting with a cheap drone while learning how to fly i flew a cheap drone over the road and it lost connection and got hit by a car...

Never fly near traffic we need to keep these legal, so fly responsibly, never near people or cars. Says all that in your instruction book.
I gotta say. this probably is the best drone of price range. really the best....
but I also hate the thing and returned it for refund because of defects. I am going to upgrade to the parrot bebop. the youtuber casey neistat said he previously used the parrot brand. so I will go for that.
