I don't think any other youtuber has put their story the way you did to help us.. your hair looks way better now and really beautiful .. thanks a lot. I'm planning to go for a blood test tomorrow.. could you please suggest what all things to include in the test.
My daughter, aged 25 was suffering from significant hair loss. She has recently been diagnosed with iron deficiency anaemia despite haemoglobin levels being within normal range. Her GP has said it's due to the fact she has been a regular blood donor for the past three years and she is no longer able to give blood. She was told that in the UK ferratin levels are not checked on a routine blood test (FBC) so had she not seen a specialist for her hair loss, the iron deficiency would not have been discovered until she became really unwell. Hope this helps someone out there!
Honestly can’t tell you how useful your videos were for me! About 2 years ago I was suffering really badly from anaemia and I was getting so down because so much of my hair had fallen out, it was dull dry and you could see my scalp. I don’t think there was a day where I didn’t cry about it and I wondered if it would ever get better! I searched on UA-cam for videos and came across your first hair video and found it so helpful to see someone else’s experience and loved how positive you were, it gave me hope that my hair would get better and helped me through the really hard days 😊 I’m so happy to say my hair is finally getting thicker after using your tips as well as getting my iron levels back up, so I just wanted to say thank you so much for putting these videos out there ❤️❤️ btw your hair looks INCREDIBLE 😍

I am currently taking iron tablets but these videos are so helpful and I am so excited to try out some of your suggestions, thank you!!!
Hi Carolyn, your hair looks thicker compared to your first video - this is success 🤗. My hairloss started 30 years ago when I had my first child. It was a small ball patch in the middle and over the years has spread to half of my head completely bald. I was diagnosed with hypothyroid in 2013 and then I started wearing a lace wig and from that point onwards it got worse. Even my nails and eyebrows are affected partially - so there is no hope for me. I am so pleased you have got to the bottom of your issues.
You give me so much hope. What I need to accept is that my hair wont grow overnight and this is something that takes patience. My hair has always been that one thing I've been proud of and I've lost more than half of it. No balding, just thinning all around. Like you said, my hair does not define me and I need to worry less about what people think of me and how I feel overall.
@@cg4274 the excessive hair loss stopped and I noticed my hair growing out quicker and thicker once I increased my ferritin. But unfortunately I’m almost back to square one.. started to shed a lot this time from my thyroid levels. :( so trying to be positive and tell myself I got better last time I will get better again.
Hey!! I’ve had this problem for a few years now but i started treating it when it got bad. I decided to see a dermatologist and got a blood test done and found out that my iron levels and vitamin d were at 21 ( not severe but not enough) so i was prescribed iron pills (one a day) 2 perfectil pills a day and a dose of vitamin d a month. I had a normal mestrual cycle but i wasn’t eating enough meats to get the iron I needed so i decided to start eating healthier and better because I couldn’t mentally handle the hair loss anymore. I actually suffer from depression since my hair was the thickest and the longest and was the only feature I loved about myself and now i lost over half of it and keep pulling out strands endlessly. It’s been almost 5 months post my doctor visit and got another blood test done and my results are a whole lot better: my ferritin is at 78.5 and my vitamin d at 57! However i still experience hair loss as if I haven’t done anything to fix the problem! It’s so frustrating because I haven’t felt confident and happy in a while but i was telling myself it was for a good reason and i still haven’t noticed any changes! I keep asking myself when will this stop? I just want to be able to brush my hair without being scared of pulling out clumps and throwing them. This nightmare just seems like it never ends and i’n starting to lose hope. Hopefully my doctor will find a solution
Did you try organic sulphur? Almost everybody is deficient in sulphur. MSM it’s the most common name and you can find a lot of videos on UA-cam about MSM and hair grow. Also, are you vegetarian? Because if so, it’s most probably that your protein intake is above the optimal, which also block the collagen synthesis.

Hello! I talk about my other symptoms in this video: ua-cam.com/video/yh9684WmsGU/v-deo.html It's part one of my hair growth journey. Thanks for watching!
No I did not, I had I believe two tests for my ferritin levels which showed great improvement. So my doctor didn't order any more tests. Keeping your iron at a consistent high level I feel is key to raising your Ferritin.
My ferritin is 10 Ng/ ml and hairfall started.after taking supplement for five months hairfall reduced so much but my level went to 72 so I stopped my supplement again hairfall started .how long we have to raise the level for stabilise the level
I personally have to take iron supplements every month due to the blood loss during my menstrual cycle. But this would be a good question to ask your doctor.
Your hair looks great! I came across your videos searching for Calia products reviews. I am losing hair as well recently and I am trying to figure out the cause of it and am trying different things. There is a tree called Moringa, also known as Miracle Tree. It is rich in Calcium, Potassium, Iron, and Essential Amino Acids. Check out moringafarms. I am taking the leaf in powder form in capsules. Maybe it may help you in your journey as well. Thank you for sharing your journey.
@@CarolynRosefolksnaturalliving Today I got my ferriting result and I´m low, 45, no wonder why its being one year loosing my hair, 3 months ago I changed my diet, for red meet mostly, as well chicken and fish, I hope to rise my level soon. I may take iron supplement. I wish you the best. Your hair is looking very pretty.
I’m 25 and have dealt with iron deficiency anemia for 14 years. My hair has thinned out so much over the last 5 years. I’m scared I’m going to be completely bald. I barely started taking supplements on a daily basis, it’s been about 7 weeks. My hemoglobin raised from a 9.2 to an 11.0, I’m still having hair fall long strands and short strands. It’s so depressing I don’t know when I will stop seeing hair fall.
It takes a very long time to recover from anemia, but just keep pushing through. You can do this! You can also talk to your doctor about uping your dose of iron intake to get faster result, and you can also take Vitamin C to help the absorption of iron. Hang in there!
Same problem with me my ferritin level is low. I'm hypothyroid patient last 5 years I take many tablets but no result . Then I changed my Dr. She suggested me iron infusion it's really help me and my ferritin level increased but again it's low I am very depressed 😞
I had gotten an iron infusion done a couple times but you have to keep up with them. As of right now I’m taking hemaplex twice a day. You should try it. I’m still working on my ferritin levels and hoping my hair will regrow but I am also scared that “it might be more than just my ferritin” but who knows maybe once I bring it up I shall see if it gets better.
Your hair has gotten so much thicker!!

Thank you for the suggestion!! I will have to look into it. And I wish you luck!
@@CarolynRosefolksnaturalliving Thank you!
Would you say your hair is back to how it used to be now?
Yes I would say so! It is better than it has been in a very long time!
Carolyn Rose that’s so good to hear! Thank you for all the informative videos, they’ve been really helpful
Red meet contains lots of iron, chicken and turkey not so much.
You are correct. I do not eat red meat for ethical reasons but that is definitely and option for others
Your hair is looking very pretty.
wow...what a diff.
Name of iron pills please
My doctor prescribed me hemocyte plus. Talk with your doctor about best treatment options for your individual needs.
Maybe not iron , maybe birht kontrol your hair treatment ? ( Little İng)
Also did you experience like a disappearing hairline, I feel like my temple area is just really bad. And if you did when did you start seeing results.
Ter55 how’s your hair now? x
