I have a ferritin of 21, low saturation, and binding capacity, and he says I'm not iron deficient nor anemic. Yet, I have massive hair loss. I' spent a year under his care, and the whole time, he kept telling me I was not iron deficient or anemic and suggested an iron infusion to boost my levels, of which I had three infusions that later caused even more hair loss and my panel to plummet. I'm convinced the high iron level caused some level of toxicity in my system where iron doesn't get absorbed.

An L-histidine deficiency can cause anemia. Research L-carnosine which is a dipeptide made of beta-alanine and L-histidine. You and your energy will thank me later 😌 🙏 ☺

Thank you so much for these videos. I love being able to understand and make decisions for myself and my family as it relates to health. I've seen four specialists and 2 docs. Only one of them was very helpful, and one of the specialists literally told me after seeing me for 5 minutes that he had no idea what it was. I've been slowly making progress on my own but I appreciate your straightforward and objective teaching. God bless ❤️

I'm dealing with this right now and the Dr's haven't discovered a cause yet, but this is so nice and validating to watch because I went through 2 months of being told my symptoms were all in my head because my hemoglobin was 10.6. My iron saturation seems stuck at 5 and my ferritin went from 2 to 6, so I have a ways to go, but at least I finally have a good doctor who knows this stuff. Thank you!

Your reactions will dictate how your personal protocol will develop. 🥴 Make sure you don't eat anything that takes too long to go through your system. I became a patient in 2020, and was less for dead. I had to find everything, from mold toxicity, to poor detox pathways, lyme -coinfections (did you know that in order to be considered "lyme positive" you have to have FIVE positive bands?! No. Just ONE, sucks your blood - Borrelia positive is all you need). If it's not gapingly obvious like rupturing gallbladder? They are USELESS. They do the same shallow labs over and over and over. "Engender respect from medical professionals"...?! Everything that has been helping me with some very severe issues of no fault of my own, but neglect of medical system during lethal times, has been outside the system. @@hitmusicworldwide

Also perhaps how much you usually prescribe of iron and for how long to take it. Also what would be a good brand in liquid better or pill form etc. Over all you are the best doctor at explaining then others I've watched.

I DONATED TOO MUCH BLOOD and ended up with IDA. I donated every 8 weeks for 2 years and then my hemoglobin dropped. My ferritin was down to 12. I read that it's recommended women not donate more than 2-3 times a year. I had colonoscopy and upper gi scopes that showed nothing, and I don't have periods anymore, so the doctor agrees it's probably too much donated.

I'm sorry but that's not wise. It takes your bone marrow 3 months to make new RBCs, so to donate ever 2 months is foolish and dangerous. You are helping people if you are donating just once a year, so why so extreme. Was is for yourself? It was really unwise for doctors and the organization you used to donate, not to tell you that.
