Completely agree, I got slaughtered by Bahamut + Ifrit plenty of times during the Gauntlet and Pride & Joy was pretty easy in comparison, don't even think anyone went down during the fight
Fire+Elemental Absorb and Wall on whoever is your favourite character to use trivialises the whole thing. Once Bahamut summons Ifrit, ignore Ifrit because he'll only attack whoever is being used and everything he does will heal you so you can just focus on Bahamut, and cast Wall when Mega Flare is on its way. Easy. The fire absorption also comes in handy for Pride and Joy as it has a move that leaves napalm around. Stand in it for a regen effect
Even after completing the game to platinum twice and fighting top secret probably a hundred times, there's some stuff in here I didn't know, like cancelling the uppercut. Thanks!
@@WaifuAkenoHimejima yeah if there's a specific chapter or sim you're struggling with I could give it a go! The trick is to smash Top Secrets as early as possible to make the rest of hard mode easy.

On this day (and last night) I beat both the secret bosses for remake Intergrade. Pride and joy (remake variant today) and Wiess last night. The only thing standing in my way for my second official Platinum trofie is beating remake on hard, already done with Yuffie. And I would say that your guides is the primary reason for it. Had to twek some part of it to do it for myself, but for the most part it is almost the same. So I want to say thank you Blitz for allowing me the bits needed to beat some of the hardest parts of the game without driving me insane in the process.

I’m trying this today, my last achievement for the platinum trophy, it’s been like 4 years and I’m going to beat it thanks to this video, I couldn’t figure out how to cancel that uppercut but now I’m moving like Spider-Man 😅

Thank you so much, dude. I had tried 2 other methods before this one and always lost to Bahamut's mega flare. I did make one mistake in this in that i didn't finish Bahamut before he summoned Ifrit, and lost two party members but thankfully Cloud was the one left standing and thanks to the revives I was able to bring back the otthers and finish it. So happy with this guide man, the hardest part for me was hoenstly learning to get down shiva's part, once i got her down I was able to 1 shot the rest.
Mannn I tried hundreds of combinations and struggled HARD. And then I did Blitz combination, and beat them all FIRST TRY! Im followin for sure! The way you explained it all is pure genius. 200 hrs+ what a guy!!!

They are a huge difference maker! I often run these challenges for people via shareplay who are having a hard time and show them the difference of having them vs not having them live. That extra 30-40 percent damage and stagger is major
Dude, thank you so much for making this video. I tried using your old method like 2 years ago and was not able to get through this gauntlet. I would not have enough MP to finish off Bahamut. I tried another method but it was taking SO LONG to get the materia leveled up. This method here is the one that worked for me. That and the thicc Tifa mod. Thanks a million, man!

I have been stuck with this challenge for 2 hours. Until i found this one that has synergy set up. And i learn about how to use parry to cancle Tifa move. I finally made it pass Bahamut in 1 time after I watched this vedio. Then Pride and Joy KO Tifa from beginning but I manage to finish him with Cloud and Aerith. Just keep calm follow exact step. Thanks again FF7R in hard mode would not be this fun without your guides. I put 80 hours on it already.

@@BltzZ So i've completed it on Hard Mode now so only got the dresses trophy to get. But i have a big problem which I'm hoping you may be able to help with. I have all 3 dresses for Cloud & Aerith but only 2 dresses for Tifa. I've done the chapter select processes to get this but I can't seem to get any of Tifa's dresses to pop the trophy. On your recent Platinum trophy playthrough it popped when Cloud came out the Honey Bee club, so can only imagine if the Tifa dress was going to make it pop then it would have done before this sequence, presumably at the end if Chapter 8 when she's in the carriage in her dress, so I don't need to actually finish Chapter 9. But it just won't pop - any advice? Many Thanks in advance
Just to update - I have now resolved this & got the Platinum Trophy - YEAH - So thank for the playthrough, it really helped me alot & training with Tifa using your advanced guid& it's been so much fun being able to use Tifa properly. Due to time constraints, I can only platinumed this game via guides and walkthroughs, Thanks to you guys lolz and other youtubers as well, the only time i beat top secret with aerith last standing , last blizzaga killed both ifrit and bahamut, After that is cloud with gotterdammerung all the way lolz, I beat hard mode with ragnarok tho lolz
top secret is one of hardest experience im playing FF 7 remake. this guide make the mechanic look easy. already finish battle 1-3 under 5 minutes with this guide. still try finish battle 4-5 later. my tifa lack of dmg maybe i only have 1 luck materia. but this guide is very useful
When I tell you I was so close to tossing the flag on this one. Wow this walkthrough was perfect for me, although it’s similar to others, the way you broke it down slowly was just what I needed to push through bahamut first try today, thank you sm 😭
I've only recently played FF7 Remake partially because it was free for extra members but I found you're guides very helpful. Unfortunately I always get wiped at bahamut because the AI position themselves towards him and get silenced. I'm not entirely sure how to beat him because after that it just seems like GG lol. Though your guide has definitely helped me progress much further on this mission than I would have if I didn't watch it.
You need to use Tifa to face Bahamut away from the party so they can cast without being interrupted. Cloud and Aerith ideally should be casting magic in ward and not sitting on thier ATB for too long. If you don't give them commands they'll run at Bahamut to try and attack him. So follow the guide to the "T" don't idle on your party members too long or they'll suicide run towards Bahamut.
This guide is awesome but I’m still having trouble mostly with shiva. The pressure that he gets from his focused strike is so much for than mine. Not sure if there’s something else I need to equip of upgrade.
Yeah this is insane. It took me 8 hours to beat this. I brute forced it with cloud, barret, and aerith. I got bahamut as he was doing his megaflare, with barret's focus shot🤣 wish i saw this on my homepage last night
I'm not quite ready for this challenge yet, so haven't tried your strategy. However watching the video you use a few 'random' Materia to boost the magic stat. Wouldn't two 'Magic Up' Materia make a bigger difference than 'Subversion' and 'Barrier'?
Follow this guide to a T if you don't you will lose, after 5 hours i watched this 3 times and finally beat bahamut, KEEP HIM PRESSURED OR YOU WILL LOSE, first three battles and last are a cakewalk i highly appreciate this guide
I did it, thanks, the only issue I had was the Leviathan fight when it sometimes went all out on cloud/aeris. but yeah, with 400 magic power on cloud/aeris bosses melt when tifa also attackjs them.
Finally beat this tonight, took me almost 2 hours of tweaking and adjusting your guide to my style of play (I can’t match your level of play with the short cuts and move cancels etc) but I finally beat top secret thanks to your guide and strategy.. I still need a lot of work on Tifa’s parry cancel it would have made you cringe lol… I almost quit on Bahamut because I had him pressured near the end and as I’m closing in with Tifa he summoned Ifrit with like 5% health left. And then to add salt on the wound I couldn’t get the thundaga spell off on PAJ so he nuked and ko-ed Tifa so I had to regroup and revive her. BltzZ Thanks for the guides and the amazing final fantasy content!!
Holy shit dude I finally did it 😂 Needed to finish off my hard run for the final manuscripts, and came back and clapped bahamut first try. Because let's be real, he's the main meal outta this buffet. Pride and joy was a dessert after that 😂 Funny that this and the 9 dresses were my last 2 trophies. Now to take down Weiss and round out the intermission trophies 👌

@@BltzZ bro I did it! finally beat top secrets. although not perfectly like yours. with leviathan on red HP he managed to get up from stagger and use tidal roar and I striked him down with a few last thundagas. With Bahamut at red HP too, he managed to get back up and summoned Ifrit, but good thing I came prepared with Elemental+Fire on Cloud, still finished him off without a problem. and then the last one, Pride and Joy was easy. as a thanks, I subbed to you
I tried following this guide with a 100% normal playthrough party. Everyone is level 50, all materia maxed, all weapon manuscripts available in the normal playthrough obtained. It simply doesn't work. Tifa does not have enough ATB to push Shiva into Stagger; once Shiva leaves Pressured state, she basically just flies around the arena and one-shots everybody. For this strat, you NEED to progress a significant way through Hard Mode. Maybe I'm the only one, but I was hoping this would be a guide to get a Götterdämmerung as early as possible, so you could use it to steamroll Hard Mode.
I just don't understand what I am doing wrong. I can't get even through Shiva. I just can't get her staggered. I have the same statistics like you show doing exactly the same but the damage isn't so huge for her to get staggered. What about the other ones when she is problem for me. 😢

Ff7R has one of the best rpg combat systems in the industry... I wish for more games with this play-style.
Especially bc the combat can get hard and you actually need to use ur brain a bit and vary ur techniques and materia.

top secret is one of hardest experience im playing FF 7 remake. this guide make the mechanic look easy. already finish battle 1-3 under 5 minutes with this guide. still try finish battle 4-5 later. my tifa lack of dmg maybe i only have 1 luck materia. but this guide is very useful

AYYY FFVII REMAKE GUIDES ARE BACK!
I've only recently played FF7 Remake partially because it was free for extra members but I found you're guides very helpful. Unfortunately I always get wiped at bahamut because the AI position themselves towards him and get silenced. I'm not entirely sure how to beat him because after that it just seems like GG lol. Though your guide has definitely helped me progress much further on this mission than I would have if I didn't watch it.
You need to use Tifa to face Bahamut away from the party so they can cast without being interrupted. Cloud and Aerith ideally should be casting magic in ward and not sitting on thier ATB for too long. If you don't give them commands they'll run at Bahamut to try and attack him. So follow the guide to the "T" don't idle on your party members too long or they'll suicide run towards Bahamut.

This guide is awesome but I’m still having trouble mostly with shiva. The pressure that he gets from his focused strike is so much for than mine. Not sure if there’s something else I need to equip of upgrade.

Yeah this is insane. It took me 8 hours to beat this. I brute forced it with cloud, barret, and aerith. I got bahamut as he was doing his megaflare, with barret's focus shot🤣 wish i saw this on my homepage last night

I'm not quite ready for this challenge yet, so haven't tried your strategy. However watching the video you use a few 'random' Materia to boost the magic stat. Wouldn't two 'Magic Up' Materia make a bigger difference than 'Subversion' and 'Barrier'?

I did it, thanks, the only issue I had was the Leviathan fight when it sometimes went all out on cloud/aeris. but yeah, with 400 magic power on cloud/aeris bosses melt when tifa also attackjs them.

Finally beat this tonight, took me almost 2 hours of tweaking and adjusting your guide to my style of play (I can’t match your level of play with the short cuts and move cancels etc) but I finally beat top secret thanks to your guide and strategy.. I still need a lot of work on Tifa’s parry cancel it would have made you cringe lol… I almost quit on Bahamut because I had him pressured near the end and as I’m closing in with Tifa he summoned Ifrit with like 5% health left. And then to add salt on the wound I couldn’t get the thundaga spell off on PAJ so he nuked and ko-ed Tifa so I had to regroup and revive her. BltzZ Thanks for the guides and the amazing final fantasy content!!

@@BltzZ bro I did it! finally beat top secrets. although not perfectly like yours. with leviathan on red HP he managed to get up from stagger and use tidal roar and I striked him down with a few last thundagas. With Bahamut at red HP too, he managed to get back up and summoned Ifrit, but good thing I came prepared with Elemental+Fire on Cloud, still finished him off without a problem. and then the last one, Pride and Joy was easy.

I tried following this guide with a 100% normal playthrough party. Everyone is level 50, all materia maxed, all weapon manuscripts available in the normal playthrough obtained.
It simply doesn't work. Tifa does not have enough ATB to push Shiva into Stagger; once Shiva leaves Pressured state, she basically just flies around the arena and one-shots everybody. For this strat, you NEED to progress a significant way through Hard Mode. Maybe I'm the only one, but I was hoping this would be a guide to get a Götterdämmerung as early as possible, so you could use it to steamroll Hard Mode.
You could substitute a materia for stop. Cast stop on Shiva. Someone yesterday claimed this guide is the best so idk
I just don't understand what I am doing wrong. I can't get even through Shiva. I just can't get her staggered. I have the same statistics like you show doing exactly the same but the damage isn't so huge for her to get staggered. What about the other ones when she is problem for me. 😢
Bahamut and Ifrit is the hardest boss except for Weiss or whatever in the dlc.
