I'll say that if you found it worthwhile to pay for taskrabbit to do that laundry, then you're not yet at the point to be able to simply part with things sight-unseen. And that's fine! But a lot of people might want to suggest "if it's too much to cope with as laundry you don't need it, just be rid of it!" and, things aren't always that clear-cut. You're reasonably doing what you need to process, and not set yourself back. On many levels.
Cleaning out the trunk or one drawer might not seem like a lot, but every bit makes such a difference. Those are things now gone you don't have to deal with ever again. Keep on keeping on, Team Peeling Away
Yes, you absolutely get me. I wish I could just send the boxes out the door but I know I would spend far more time wondering what was in the boxes than it will take to just go through them. I'm not going to say it's fun to go through all these, but once I do I will have a much easier time. I will just let go what can go and then move on instead of always thinking what was in those boxes.
Go thru them. Make two piles- keep/donate. Once done, take all the clothes ur donating straight to the donation centre. The next day/week, take all the clothes you’re keeping to a launderette and get it all washed and folded in one go. When u come home u can spend the next few weeks putting the laundry into the closets, drawers etc. much quicker! Xxx
Yes I get that and I absolutely love the phrase "team peeling away" - keep peeling away the clutter. There you go Mira with a bit of work it could be on some merchant 😀
@@PeelingAwaytheClutter I feel the same way. I want to see it first. I know that is part of the issue that we share, but like you said it's not worth the time you would be wondering what was there that you didn't see. You are taking your time and knowing when you need to take a break for yourself. It is not an easy process, but I think part of our healing is the act of going through it. We will get there eventually. Great job on the trunk! The bedroom is so many times the hard part. Take your time. I will be going through clothes this weekend myself. Sending you love and strength this week ❤
@@PeelingAwaytheClutterWe know it takes time as well as stages for a bone to fully heal. Our habits, minds, and hearts need time as well as stages too. It's great and important for your healing to understand what is going to work and what is just going to set you back or set you spiraling -- why then even do it? You're dealing with the boxes and their contents, it's just taking time and stages. :D
❤ Mira, please don't waste your time, money, electricity, water, soap and energy on the laundry. Only laundry the items your KEEPING. I'm sure the pieces were clean when they were originally packed up. Probably gotten a little stale but not really dirty. Just need to freshen up the items that stay in the home. That is good enough. When someone buys something from a thrift store you always wash it first anyway. Let the recipient do the cleaning. I just worry that this is making it harder than it has to be and nobody needs that! ❤❤❤
ABSOLUTELY AGREE!
Ditto
Ditto
Absolutely agree.😊. One less thing to have to mentally deal with.❤
I agree. Don't wash the stuff you are donating. The purchasers will wash them. Save time and money. Just get them out of your placeas soon as possible.
So sorry to see you burst into tears when you unexpectedly came across Cupid’s harness. Grief can catch you by surprise sometimes. A few years back I was walking my dog past my neighbour’s driveway and saw that she was upset. Of course I stopped to speak and give her a hug. Turned out she had been washing the car which had always been one of the chores her late husband did and she just suddenly pictured him out there with her watching from the kitchen like it used to be. It caught her completely by surprise.
Hiring out the laundry is a great idea for you at this time!❤
Thank you. I had no idea how much this task was pressing on me until I decided to have someone else do it.
You did such a great job - especially giving the depression you're dealing with. You deserve a clean car and a clean environment; you are worthy
In Germany we have vacuums running 1 minute after you insert a coin, those are situated on the ground of the gas stations. I would use it after you brought away all the stuff to the donation place. Empty the trunk first and put everything temporarily on the back seat to get an easy access to the popcorn 🍿...
Yeah, step after step... You're doing great 👍🌹💖
We have them in the US too, at car washes.
Thank you!
@@poodlegirl55 😆 at car washes in Germany too 👍
You have a beautiful laugh, I’d call it an infectious giggle. Love listening to you narrate your videos.
Oh thank you!
I second that! I love to hear you laugh!
My daughter and her husband are coming to visit me from their home in Italy, they arrive on Saturday. I always use that as an excuse to declutter ! I’ve made a lot of headway and have 4 boxes to donate and have thrown away 1/2 a trash can!! This time has been especially hard, I lost my only sister 6 months ago and I’m realizing that the loss of my ex-husband, my Mom, my dear Aunt and then my sister over the last few years has really snowballed. So much loss, it’s hard to find joy, isn’t it?? I’m working through it, you inspire me, Mira❤❤
Every single thing you clear up, throw out or put away is another thing that you will not have to deal with again. So every thing matters. Way to go!!
Thank you!
You are lucky that squirrels haven’t discovered the popcorn!🐿️
Or mice! Don’t need them moving on to wiring in the car after they’re done with popcorn 🙀
I am so glad you are able to continue in spite of the grief
Thank you!
Mira I started crying when you were crying over Cupids car harness....you are 100% correct, when you say you're not alone to help the listener. You yourself are not alone as you grieve because some of us viewers cry every time we see or hear you crying.
*** Sending hugs and strength***
You are so sweet. This comment touches my heart. Thank you so much for your love and encouragement. Hugs to you.
I'm glad you let yourself cry. Yes, grieving is hard! ❤
My mom died eight years ago and today I broke out into tears thinking about how much I miss her. It's definitely hard to declutter her belongings.
I totally get about feelings coming at you when you least expect it. My Mom died in 2019. When she died and I was clearing out her house. She had 3 boxes of aluminum foil and I brought them home. Yesterday, I used up the last of that aluminum foil. I got teary eyed about that yesterday: it came out of the blue. I don’t get sentimental about her Christmas villages that I have put up since then or her other items that I have. I’m a pretty stoic person, but here I was yesterday, tearing up about the last piece of foil wrap.
For anyone missing their Mom, Dad, pet, or any loved one today, I hope the day lands gently. Peace to you.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I think it's so helpful for people to see that glimpse of the grieving process. I would have done the same thing. I appreciate you watching and commenting!
Ok, I think the peach is great! Love your sense of humor!
What a good idea to delegate that mountain of laundry. You will feel so much lighter from releasing that burden. Oh and grief …I cried too when you came across that harness. We are wonderfully human. This is as you know is a sign of great and deep love. A gift
What a sweet comment. I really appreciate it. Thank you so much!
Good for you on tackling the car! I think taking smaller bites at the moment might help keep you motivated and not overwhelmed. 💖
Definitely! So great.to have a completion. 🌻🍄
It brings me joy to see another fellow dog person using a car harness! I've had instances of seeing gear of my dogs who passed away recently and it definitely tugs at your heart.
If you have no use for a normal vacuum besides in the car you might want to consider investing in a shop vac or something similar because they are good for people who don't have carpets. You can suck up flooding, puddles, as well as popcorn.
Norma here,
I think I would go through those boxes first even if you only manage a couple a day while you’re watching TV. You realistically only need to launder what you intend to keep. The pile won’t be as daunting once you decide to part with some of it. I’m guessing that you didn’t pack away dirty clothes in the first place so they probably just need to be freshened. Anyway, people who buy clothing from a thrift shop will usually wash those purchases anyway even if they look and smell clean. No need to waste money having someone else wash all those clothes, especially if you really can’t afford it.
What you should invest in is a small handheld rechargeable vacuum. It will come in handy to use in the car and also to pick up crumbs, dust etc. around the house.
It is very difficult to part with things belonging to a loved one who has passed including pets. My 22 year old son passed away in 2001. He was my youngest. It took me a while to clean out his room. However, I did find it easier to give some of his clothing and possessions to my family and friends who requested them. I felt better knowing that his brother and my nephews wanted to wear or keep certain of his things. I, of course, kept one small box of his favorite things on the top shelf of the closet in his room. I also displayed some of his things in other rooms of my house.
Sorry for rambling on. Just trying to make things easier for you.
You’re doing a great job so far. Slow and easy wins the race.
I went "shopping" in my trunk the other day 😂 Found a tablecloth I thought I had gotten rid of and found a use for it.
Ha ha, I love that! I know I will find some things in the back seat when I get to it. Glad you were able to use the tablecloth!
I’m so proud of you for what you’re doing. I watched the girl from a beautiful mess work on your house. She’s such a blessing! And cares dearly about you. Good luck on completing your house decluttering. I did a Swedish death cleaning on my house in November and December. It was awesome and I’m still purging more things.
Making donating easier is a good thing to do. You are getting better at letting things go! If you go to a car wash near you, they often have a vacuum available. You do not want mice in the car!
Mira, I cried with you when you found Cupid’s harness. I lost my dog, Boston in May 23’ unexpectedly from a twisted stomach. He is the world’s biggest smallest lap dog. He weighed 180 lbs and stood 6’5 on his hind legs. He was one of those dogs that has a deep oblong rib cage, they’re prone to twisting their stomachs from what I understand from research.
I finally cleared away my livingroom clutter this past week. I can’t bring myself to move his kennel so I can clear his dog hair that he would shed around the 2 back sides of his kennel that butts up against 2 walls. I can’t break down his kennel yet, it’s just too painful right now. I found his collar and leash buried on my floor next to my recliner under all my crafting supplies this past week. All I could do was hold it and cry.
I miss him so much! He was one of those fur-babies that could really see, feel and connect to a soul no matter how big, strong, tall or thick a person’s internal walls were around their heart and soul, Boston would walk right through them, it was his special super power gift.
Dogs have a way of connecting to other souls, then you have the dogs who can REALLY connect and even go further and connect with your spirit too. He was one of those who could. He would be so connected with me that he would know my emotions before I would experience them physically. Almost as if he could sense 5 minutes into to future and just have a knowing. Then he would try to comfort me before I had the chance to know what emotions I would experience. He was amazing. He was my protector and my healer.
He passed away in my arms one morning, he held on until I woke up. He positioned himself one last time purposely in front of my exterior door to pass away protecting me until his last breath. It was so hard, so beautiful, so empty all at once. I don’t want to ever experience that type of loss again. I had to attempt to move him by myself so I could get my door open so my son could come help me move Boston to his final resting place on my ex father in laws farm by a beautiful pond that he always loved to run to when he would go with me and my ex husband to visit his father at his farm.
Thank you Mira for sharing such a powerful vulnerable moment. It’s truly beautiful and shows such strength to remind us that we still have emotions and it’s ok to not be ok sometimes and allow ourselves the time needed in the moment to pause and be gentle on ourselves to cry when we need to, to not suppress or repress our emotions. You are such an inspiration to so many. Thank you for being genuine and authentic, it seems to be a rare thing in today’s world sadly.
Have a beautiful and blessed day Mira!❤️💕
Thank you so much for sharing your time with beautiful Boston. Reading this brought me to tears. I totally understand not being able to touch his kennel. I don't know what I will be able to let go or when, so I plan to just fill up the dog cubby if needed with anything I find and can't part with. Wishing you love and comfort. I'm so happy you had such a beautiful boy in your life. Thanks for commenting.
Mira, grief has consumed you. Rightly so. The loss of Cupid and your Mother have completely altered your identity. It is important to remember that as time passes, you will be at peace. It wont be perfect but I know it will be better. I donated two car loads of things today. Continued love and hugs and a special prayer for serenity for you my friend.❤
Thank you so much! Congrats on your donations today!
You are doing such a great job! Theres nothing wrong with delegation 😊
Yes! Thank you!
I love your videos because you are authentic as human should be. Keep the good work one day at the time and you will see a difference in a long run. It will pay off when you realized how much you have accomplished. Take Care.🥰
Thank you so much!
Good job, Mira. I would recommend getting a cordless vacuum. Even without carpet, it is great for wood floors, furniture, drawers/cabinets, dust, and everywhere else. It's a lot easier than sweeping all the time
I agree! I got one from Amazon a few years ago, and love it!
Yes! I have two cats and a vacuum makes such a difference for actually catching their hair!
My 17 year old cat Mikey went to the Rainbow Bridge on January 6 and I cry everyday. I am not ready to let go of his bowls, bed, or carrier. Hugs to you, Mira!
I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Mikey. Hang on to his things as long as you need. Hugs right back!
It comes in waves!
So true!
I think this is the first video where you have your hair up! 😃 Looks great! ❤
Clean boot yay!
Im in Australia and dealing with migraines and dreadful joint pain from cyclonic weather but I do do 15 minutes a day on something- I might move a pot plant around, hose and put on a load of washing (guilty admission- it’s too hot here to stand in the sun and hang up clothes so I just stand on the deck and throw them onto the grass - they dry fine 😊).
It’s surprising how just a consistent 15 minutes a day makes to our surroundings.
Great job on the car. Once you sort all of your clothes you might consider deciding on a number of each category that you will keep. For example if you choose to keep 50 pairs of leggings. I chose a large number in case a smaller amount sounds overwhelming. Then if another pair comes into your closet then you dispose of one. Choose an amount to keep from each category. Pants, t shirts, button shirts sweaters pjs robes socks underwear etc. Brainstorm every category you can think of and decide on a number. Write out the list and post in the inside of your closet as a reference. Making this decision before you begin will help you from having to make decisions over and over again. Remember the less you have the less time and headache in the future to care for items. And if one day you see a sweatshirt or whatever that brings you joy you won’t feel guilt for treating yourself. “ no problem I will donate one from my closet” I’ve worked with clients who are hoarders. The rule of having a predetermined number of items in each category has helped many. You can carry this into each area. Shoes, necklaces, books. It can really help you choose what you love the most.
Thanks for the advice!
I also agree that I wouldn't wash the laundry that's being donated. It's not like they are dirty, you have them stored in boxes and nicely folded.. keep going, your getting there...❤
I meant tomsay in a pinch packing/duct tape makes a great little "vacuum". Especially in a small space. I just "vacuumed" my cubicle floor the other day when my three whole punch fell on the floor. No more confetti 😂
well done, mira!! especially allowing your grief to flow through. it sure can be rough on one’s heart when surprised with your pup’s or mother’s things even if they’re not a favorite. the rush of sorrow is unexpected and knocks the wind out of your being. sending strength and hugs 🧸
Thank you so much!
You can do it! You have been doing awesome! 💜💜💜
Hi Mira. Just a suggestion. Maybe just take a look at the clothes in the boxes and try to make some decisions as to whether you want to keep them. Donate the clothes you know you won't use right away and I wouldn't bother with washing those items.
Great job! You’re not alone using a snow brush to reach things in the trunk 😂. The first thing I get in a grocery store is a mop to reach things on high shelves then put the mop back. At 4’10”, 65+, you do what you have to lol😂. You are such an amazing person, a wonderful sense of humor, empathy for others, knowing when it’s ok to just pause if you need to and such an inspiration to so many!
Your mop tip is brilliant! I usually wait around for a tall person to walk by
@@KlingonPrincess I gave up on that years ago 😂. I need a tall person in just about every isle
@@debby891 One of my girlfriends is 4'10," I totally get it. At 5'3," I am her "tall person." Have a good evening 🌻🍄
@@KlingonPrincess 😂 yes, to us 5’3” is tall. Our family is 100% Italian and even my dad was only 5’2”. I remember thinking he was tall and he’d say wait till you get old and start shrinking, you could end up being a mud puddle 😂. Oh how I miss him💔
@@debby891 A mud puddle 🤗 Your dad sounds like a hoot. Mine passed last January, miss him too. Thank you for sharing a little bit of him tonight.
Cleaning the car is a excellent idea ! Loved the video !
Love, love that you are progressing at your pace, finding solutions that work for you!
Thank you!! 😊
Doing the trunk of your car was a great little win well done! Would love to see the rest of your car.
I'll get back out there when the weather improves again.
Man, I wish I had all those bags! Paper bags=.05 and plastic bags are banned here. That’s gold to me. Keep on truckin’
From Portland Oregon
If you go thru a drive thru car wash, they have great vacuums to use. Usually less than $10, for the car wash.
Just another comment telling you how great you are doing and how proud you should be of yourself. In case you need to hear/read it, "GREAT JOB MIRA!"🎉
Thank you so much!
Mira, be sure to get your Vitamin D and very day. I did not realize how much it helps depression until my doctor told me. 15 minutes in the sunshine really helps! Looking good!
My car needs a clean-out as well. You are inspiring me.
My heart goes out to you, Mira. You're an inspiration to me and I'm so proud of you for taking things as slowly as you need, as well as continuing despite all adversity. I wish I could give you a hug, especially when you found Cupid's harness.
Thank you so much!
Good job! And each thing you do is one step closer to achieving your goals.
😂 Hey! Was that a water bottle? 😅 Mira. I don't think there's aa person in the world, UUNLESS, it's a rental that doesn't have a little junk in their trunk 😅
Me
Love a good car clean out. It was so nice out for a few days, I cleaned out my car too. 😊
The weather was a pleasant surprise!
Excellent job! I can relate, believe me. Once, while I was clearing stuff from my car to clean, I put everything on the lawn and a young couple walking by innocently asked if I was having a yard sale!😂
Ha ha ha! You must have had some nice stuff in your car. Most of mine was just trash, LOL. I'm looking forward to the slippers though.
@@PeelingAwaytheClutter I thought the stuff in your car trunk looked great! I love paper handle bags!😂 Coming across your dog’s harness was heartbreaking and I so appreciate you sharing those difficult moments of grief and sadness. I really feel when we bottle up emotions they will explode negatively in ways we will regret later on.
Thanks again for taking us on your journey. You’ve helped more than you will ever know.🙂
Hugs Mira. You are making great decisions. Great job with your trunk.
Great job about the laundry. Outsource it! And make your life easier by reducing it all for future.
Thank you!
Look at you working so hard!!!!
Thank you!
You know, Mira, I've just realized the depth of your inner strength. You amaze me! Despite the depression beast and the heavy load of grief you have, you are soldiering on. Plus, it's the seasonal affective disorder we all are suffering from this time of year. INSPIRING YOU ARE!!!!!

What matters the most is you are doing it. Good for you !! Keep up the momentum , You are doing such a great job ! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much!
Good job 💛 My car is a magnet for clutter too.
The leash part of this video broke me. I just had to declutter some of my pet rabbit's (Flop) toys because every time I saw them it made me cry. Flop was a miniature Holland lop, so tiny and delicate. I found two rabbit stuffed animals at Dollar Tree last year and they were the same size as him! I had them in his cage and he'd snuggle up next to them and lick them like they were his friends. They kept him companionship since I had to separate him from his alpha brother (Flip) who was a bit dominating. After Flop's passing I cried when I threw them into the washing machine to put with his brother Flip to see if he'd like them, and then I'd cry every time I picked them up to clean Flip's area.. I just couldn't see/touch them anymore. It hurt too much and Flip wasn't interested in them the way Flop was. I also decluttered a bunch of other things Flop liked that his brother Flip didn't care for. I feel a lot better now, it helps me heal without being struck by the heavy grief of seeing and handling the heartbreaking remnants.
I've talked a lot about hanging on to things while grieving because that has been my experience, but getting rid of things you can't bear to look at is just as valid. Whatever helps as we grieve is right for us. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Wishing you comfort through your continued grieving.
@@PeelingAwaytheClutter You too, sweetie. Everyone is different and copes and heals differently. I look forward to your videos every week because I enjoy seeing your healing joirney.
Always excited to see a new video!❤
I know exactly how you feel about keeping loved ones things. My youngest son passed away in 2017, and I cannot get rid of his stuff. Someone else is going to have to do it.
I'm so sorry for your loss ❤️
I am so very sorry. I can't even imagine that experience. It's okay that you cannot let go of his things. Hugs to you.
When I am completely overwhelmed I find that cleaning out my car is at least manageable. It feels good to have one space clear even if it is the car😀😊you did a great job
That's one reason I did it. I wanted a simple manageable project I could finish quickly and see results.
@@PeelingAwaytheClutterAwesome idea! 👏👏👏 Every time you look at your trunk, you’ll see the results of your efforts! Also excellent idea to hire someone to do the laundry!
Future you might want to get a handheld dust buster to use on your car and furniture. I just got one at Christmas and I love it. My husband passed 24 years ago and I am still trying to let go of his assorted collections.
You're always motivating! I'm sorry you're grieving. I understand how it hits you unexpectedly. You're right, it's okay to stop & feel it. You're doing fantastic! 😍,🙏
Well done on clearing out the trunk of your car! I hope I can do a car clean in the spring as well.
Keep on keeping on, Mira. We're all out here routing for you. Mira's my favorite on UTUBE.
Wow, thank you! Hugs to you!
You got this! Love to see all the space you are winning each and every video. So many wins to celebrate 🎉
Thank you!
Great job Mira! I find smaller jobs less overwhelming. Progress is progress.
You grieve however you need to. I still have a bowl from my first cat who passed in 2008. She was the first cat I’d had from a kitten and I had her for 18 years.
I am probably never getting rid of that bowl either.
Thanks for sharing the grieving process. I still have my dogs coat. And it has been a few years since she passed
Thanks so much for commenting. I'm glad my process can help other people.
Hello Mira, I thought your idea to have someone else do your laundry was brilliant. Not only do you save time, but what you choose to keep is ready to wear. Having volunteered in a thrift shop, I know the donation center staff will appreciate that the clothes you donate are freshly laundered. You continue to make progress and inspire others. Thanks so much.
I thought the same thing: When people handle donated clothes, they would of course like to have them washed, and shoppers at the centers would not want to try them on dirty as well.
Thank you so much 😊 I appreciate your encouragement.
those dollar store sticky tape roller things would get the popcorn up or even a small brush and dustpan. i think most everyone washes clothing they get from donations before wearing them. you do inspire me to get off my duff and keep cleaning and donating. there's a laundry room vent near my apartment windows so my whole place is covered in lint endlessly. makes me want to sleep all day but i never can with the noisy people living around me.
Hey Mira you're doing so good. Your voice sounds lighter and brighter. Your hard work is really helping your mental health and it shows. Keep going! We're all behind you.
I appreciate this very much.
God bless you, Mira. Have not been following you for long, but you have deeply touched me. Though not currently in the same situation you are, intense grief is a language my heart and soul understands. Contribution sent with much love.
Wow, thank you so much! I appreciate your support and kind comment. I wish you love and comfort in your own grief. Love to you.
You’re doing a great job of keeping at it, through your grief. Broke my heart for you when you found Cupid’s harness in your trunk. We lost a beloved dog 10 years ago - I teared up in December putting his special ornament on the Christmas tree. Still miss the little guy ❤
Aw, thank you so much for sharing! Pups are so precious.
Another job done! I see some have suggested getting a light hoover and thats actually not a bad idea. I always look forward to watching your videos and seeing the progress you are making x
you are awesome... you are a warrior... you are an example... thank you for your channel and sharing your story with us.... love you and care for you and see your won battles... we are always pulling for you... you go girl....
Thank you so much!
Look at you going on and on! So happy you are keeping on, keeping on! We are all rooting for you!
I’m proud of you for continuing to chip away at things even though things are tough right now. Anything you do, no matter how small it may seem helps to move that dial.
It might be too late if you’ve already sent it off but as many others have said if it’s stuff that you bought and then just never wore consider just bagging it up and getting it out of the house permanently as it’s probably fine condition wise and you managed without it before, you can manage without it now. Make it easier on yourself and get rid of obvious nos. Also the Minimalist Mom (here on UA-cam) has a phrase “ If it’s not a heck yes. it’s a no.” Plus look at it this way, you know you have much more than you use between wash days so as you declutter take that as reassurance that you will have enough for your needs despite how much you let go of. I think we can have this fear that we will be going without but if you think about how much clothing we use in a week it’s a relatively small amount.
I think it’s great that you are willing to hire out the laundry. It’s going to save you so much time. You are making such great progress. Keep up the momentum. I have to say I did burst into tears with cupids harness. It’s just so hard to lose a fur baby. Hugs to you for keeping on task despite the grief you are experiencing right now.
Great job Mira !!!!
Thank you so much 😀
Great job looks like a nice day for it, also the popcorn may attract mice I had a issue with mice getting in my car and they chewed the wiring , maybe a local gas station has one of those big vac you put quarters in , You got this !!
Oh, I will look into one of those vacs. Thanks for the suggestion!
Good morning Mira, what a great quick job you have done on the boot of your car. Love this video as always, you are such an inspiration to me. Hugs to our beautiful twosome Clay and yourself.
❤❤❤❤
Wow, thank you so much! What a beautiful comment. I appreciate it.
Good job. Our car also need a litle love😊
Great job on the trunk, it looked like mostly paper as well. There's those trunk organisers that might be a good idea for future Mira, just so that stuff doesn't fly around but has a dedicated space
Car trunks...they can sneak up on one! Great job!
The peach 🍑! You are hilarious! 😂
The trunk was not bad at all….great job 😊❤️
I'm finally getting around to watching this one. Crazy past few days as you know! I wish I could "beam" myself there to do your laundry because you know how much I love laundry. I'm looking forward to working on your craft room next month and, if you still need laundry done, since I will be up there two or three days to help with that, I am so happy to take some home with me to do!!
I lost a little Yorkie her name was Minnie Marie TuTu.. she passed away in 2014 and I still have items that belong to her and I have her ashes..😢.. I understand your grief
i bought a zip up "box/bag" (like people use to move or stack clothes storage) to store my reusable grocery bags in for the back of my van. keeps them in one place and tidy. before that I had an old plastic tub I threw them in but it would get knocked over or broken
I didn't know you could hire someone to do your laundry! that's an awesome idea. can your friend come back over to help sort through it when it's done? I would love to come help but NC is quiet a ways away.
Mira, a hand held vacuum would be a great help for cleaning your car. Also comes in handy around the home with little "spot jobs".
Thanks for the tip!
Usually governments have free home help for anyone with depression, it's part of disability care. There's help with laundry, cleaning, food and clothes shopping, outings, companionship, medical appointments etc. Just letting you know. In some countries it's huge.
But not readily available in the US
Mira, you did a good job ❤
I have open see-through tubs in the trunk for things I have to keep in there. No sliding around👍 Mira, no more popcorn in the trunk😬🤪🤗🤗
You know, something that I have noticed lately is that you are opening up so much to getting help and I think this is a great step! Instead of being ashamed that you can't do it all on your own, you are getting help to get shelves up, get the laundry taken care of.
And I get why people are saying it's not worth it, but on the other hand, I feel that people really don't put enough thought into what people who shop donated clothes feel. When I go clothes shopping in a regular store, I don't want to try on dirty clothes, even if they are just dusty, why should people be fine with it just because they have to get their clothes second hand? And you probably don't want to handle and try them on dirty as well. So good idea to get help in that department. Over time, things will clear up more and more until you get to an amount you feel comfortable with.
I agree with so much of what you've said. I really wish I could just send to donation without washing, but I don't feel good about it for the reasons you mentioned. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Hugs to you Mira for continuing to push through even while you are grieving. You are doing a great job, and it’s definitely ok to take things slow as you need to with lots of breaks. You can do this! On a side note, I Love that hoodie jacket you are wearing- Halloween is one of my favorite movies
Thank you! I appreciate your kind comment. I really love Halloween, so creepy.
Great job!
You continue to amaze and inspire me! Decluttering your car now! And I’m still stuck on the boxes full of stuff lined up on my fireplace hearth… yes, because the hearth wasn’t big enough to accommodate all the boxes, there’s a partial line of boxes in front of the hearth. I’ve broken down the project into small steps. I’ve worked at eliminating tasks like cleaning up an area to work in and setting up boxes for designated areas. But, I still can’t get going. I’m aware that it brings up anxiety, but can only attribute it to discomfort with finishing decluttering my house or success. That may very well be the problem, but I’m so tired of my nonsense! Please excuse my rant. What I want to say is that you continue to inspire me! I love your videos!
I really relate to what you're feeling about the boxes. I think I'd be feeling similar things. There's also just something daunting about a pile of boxes that need to be sorted or dealt with. All those decisions! I wish you all the best, and I'm really glad my videos inspire you. Hugs!
Good for you for hiring someone to do your laundry. You have worked so hard and deserve the break. Great video again...every step gets you closer to your goal.
