Rose is the most amazing of the girls. Period. Sings, dances, plays piano, paints, cooks, ice skates, bowls, coaches, grief counselor, news correspondent...she really churns my Häagen-Dazs
I honestly think Rose was more than what she appeared to be. Smarter but not one to brag or say much. She was okay and comfortable with herself. Which made her a humble and lovable character.

A little piece of me died with Betty. My grandmother and I would watch GG all the time. She was around the age of the girls (namely closest in age to Blanche/Rue) when the show came out and always watched it. She just turned 90 in February and isn’t in the best health so I hope she makes it another 10 years at least. I love her so much and I don’t think I could take it if something happened.

I will never forget the looks on dorothy and blanche's faces when rose started to do cartwheels around the whole dance floor to show how limber and agile she is. boy did she whoop their butts and boy did they deserve it too. they were both thinking so highly of themselves and thought that they were the best. that was my favorite part out that whole dance competition scene. But the one thing that I thought that was unfair was the judges' decision. I thought that poor rose should've at least gotten an honorable mention for the dancing show that she did because it was quite impressive.

I always love it when Rose gets serious and sets people straight. 💪🏼Her - often underrated - character is full of vitality, charisma, courage and integrity, far more than the average viewer attributes to her cause of her naive comments sometimes.

A bit naive but her heart was as big as her hair. Blanche had her soft and galant side but she was too self centered and shallow. Sophia was dead last because she was a constant foil for Dorothy and was toxic to her daughter as was Stan. They were manipulative, gaslighting and narcissistic towards her. You ever noticed in the end she gets her happy ending when both of them are out of her life?? Without her the sequel was mush. They could never duplicate the chemistry or the solid base Dorothy provided for the others to work off of.
rest in peace betty white. rose nylund was definitely my favorite character on golden girls because rose has got alot of wisdom and she is wise. she is a hardworking simple farm girl and its a shame that the other girls pick on her for it and it kind of pisses me off sometimes. rose nylund reminds me of me.

Incredible dancing! What is a vanguard who is a voluteer in that plot line? A character like Rose that could at dancing would not be doing vanguard volunteering by only watching T.V. for long. Maybe the unseen character Emma Eminhoffer would though.

2 things that are unconsistent about Rose: 1. Annie and Miles were the same actor, but different characters. Is that confusing? 2. In the episode with Bob Hope she says she lived in an orphanage and was adopted at 12 or something. In the episode where she meets her birth father, she says her adoptive family got her as a baby and was found in a basket. Which was it?
What I never understood about Rose’ origin is St. Olaf does sound like the dumbest town on planet earth, but all of her relatives were anything but!…her mom was sharp enough…her sister Holly was no slouch and quite manipulative and cruel….her daughters were stuck up and seemed well-educated/successful 🤷♂️
