In 1982, I was a Chasen's banquet waitress at the Queen of England party hosted by singer/actor Frank Sinatra. Actor Caesar Romero was one of the guests. While serving drinks on a tray before the dinner, I saw that he was standing alone. When I approached him, I couldn't resist telling him how handsome I thought he was. He quietly replied as he took a glass of wine, "Why thank you. That is very kind of you." And then he smiled at me! I was on cloud nine as I walked away! Seeing him with Sofia was a delight!

It was hilarious seeing Sophia and Blanche duke it out for the affections of the same man... Only to discover that it wasn't his first rodeo, and that he was a serial cheater! 😅

Golden Girls is totally just the "older woman" version of Seinfeld or Friends, better than the latter and just as good as the former, too! So funny, and the story lines are surprisingly similar to those of sitcoms featuring decades-younger characters. The Golden Girls lived life! I was a youngest-male-of-the-family, born in the 80s, and was secretly a big fan of this show when I was younger but now everyone understands more how just generally appealing and funny it was. My mom and I did watch the show together, she loved it and knew her son or perhaps sons liked it. She showed us it inadvertently , as your kids are always watching what you watch!
