Now we all can see how another internet community unites behind an idea here most of them don't profit off.... The SCP foundation is such a wholesome community, ironic since most of what we do is horror related. It is nice to be part of something as big as this, being able to work with one another but also give credit to each other when it is due. It is nice. We cannot let something like this be stripped away when there are such few things like it.
Another irony is that it started as part of the Creepypasta fandom and 4chan, but in recent years the SCP fandom has been in favor of social progress and LGBT rights. I mean, because of 4chan having a weird history of toxic communities and being a nest of racists. It's quite impressive.

The Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service has ruled that Duksin has violated Article 14.8 of the Russian Federal law on business competition, and he has until November 10th to rectify his violation or face penalties. Due to Russian privacy law, we the plaintiffs do not know exactly what violation he committed and will not know until it is made public on November 10th. It is our hope that he was ordered to dissolve the trademark as that was our main request to the committee, but it is too early to fully celebrate since it is possible they cited him with a different violation at this time. Regardless, this is a huge step forward in the case and we owe everyone who contributed and shared our fundraiser a huge debt of thanks for making this possible. Thank you all so much!

As someone who literally grew up with the SCP foundation this is breaking my heart. I've got into this beautiful collab of thousands of artists all the way back in 2012 (when i was waaaay too young for these kind of stories) and always been a huge fan of the forums, the games and even got around to print out some of the stories to have stored in my cabinets. What I'm saying is: These aren't just little stories about monsters and things beyond our understanding of biology, science and the paranormal - this is a whole fictional universe that has brought people together internationally, even going as far as inspiring modern media and culture to some degree. It would be a shame to let all of this go to waste, even if it's just in one country, all thanks to the most typical flaw of humanity: Greed. Sorry, i had to get this out here. Unbelivable someone would do this. It's also amazing what the scp community can do, Dr.Gears (One of the admins) had cancer. He made a gofundme page called "Fix a broken gear" and it was so heart warming seeing that they have raised almost 30k while the goal was 10k then it got bumped up to 20k. I remember when I saw this in 2020 and I donated $1000 I had been saving up for the past 5 years because I had friends and family in Russia who LOVED SCP and I loved SCP just as much if not even more. I can confidently say. 0 regrets 2 years later

I'm honestly not surprised he was able to register the name for the SCP trademark. The logo though? That's shocking as it isn't just tied to a brand but copyrighted and the original creator should be able to prove that.
This is why i really like the lebanese TM and CP system, the lerson who used the trademark or copyright the "most" takes it and uses it. If i get a trademark and dont use it and onthere person has been usimg it for years they can take it away from me (i lose money but who gets a trademark amd sits on it) and if i take them to court i also pay for their court costs

The SCP Community is near iconic nowadays, at least in my heart. Certain top entries like 173 or Peanut are basically solidified as icons. Don’t let Peanut and his friends get taken away. Secret Laboratory is a fun game, free on steam, and you can play with friends. This community is great. They’re nice, kind, helpful, and always have open arms for new ideas and members. This is one of the best things on the internet.

It's also amazing what the scp community can do, Dr.Gears (One of the admins) had cancer.
He made a gofundme page called "Fix a broken gear" and it was so heart warming seeing that they have raised almost 30k while the goal was 10k then it got bumped up to 20k.

I'm honestly not surprised he was able to register the name for the SCP trademark. The logo though? That's shocking as it isn't just tied to a brand but copyrighted and the original creator should be able to prove that.
This is why i really like the lebanese TM and CP system, the lerson who used the trademark or copyright the "most" takes it and uses it. If i get a trademark and dont use it and onthere person has been usimg it for years they can take it away from me (i lose money but who gets a trademark amd sits on it) and if i take them to court i also pay for their court costs
