I did have a mild case of shingles on the right upper part of my face, which I originally went to the doctor thinking I had "pink eye" be he said no , that's Shingles and got me an eye appt that day! I had one small blister on my nose, one in the corner by my eye, and a large, nickel size one on my forehead that gave me a headache! Not really any rash, is why I say a mild case. Got eye drops and pills for a few weeks, and was left with a slight scarring on my cornea that makes my vision in that eye slightly blurry! Go to to the doctor and they will put chili pepper on your head and on to your neck then it will get rid of the itchy and tingling.

shingles is caused by the chickenpox virus not HSV1 or 2. They cause herpes.
