Which Camera lens do you use and barlow lens? That’s an incredible hight so you have a lot of working space. Looks like the 300x one. And what desk lights are these?
you replaced CD3215C00 with CD3215B03 the first time, you cant do that, it wont work, they have different firmware or something, you can do the opposite i think, but for C00 always replace with C00. Good job anyway😄

What this guy said. You have to get matching CD3215 chips there IS a difference. I found out the hard way myself.

With the cd chips if the ports are flashing 5v on and off that is acting normal. The particular port that does not reboot is the ic thats failed
what we need is a CD chip tester!

I only need small volumes for my own projects and try to stick with the real sellers like Mouser. The times I have gone elsewhere it seems about 50/50. But yeah the decent sellers ain’t cheap.
The underfill is not to be underestimated! Very easy to pull a pad if your technique is bad!!!
@@lawrencemanning Iirc you simply cant get the cd3215 new. But yeah I always try Mouser and Digikey first. Expensive shipping to Europe but great service, great packaging and quick delivery and you know they are only selling genuine parts.
Yeah had a similar issue with a bunch of 3.3V regulators I got from AliEx.....all faulty in various ways. Some open circuit, some dead short, but all junk 😢

You have to trawl the internet mostly or become a mmber of a good forum. be careful because the boardview software often coms with a viral payload.
China CD15 or 17 is usually removed from a dead boards using excess heat. You cannot buy a new from anywhere (UK source is also a used ones)

I see what you did wrong. You used the wrong CD3315. The original you had was C00 and you replaced it with a B03
I bought a Macbook display from Ali Express and it had a black vertical line through the middle. They're return policy is really bad.
to be fair to ali express we have been refunded for many items but chips are a bit risky as it might be months before we use them all.

Since all chips from aliexpress nowdays are a roll of the dice really,if what im looking for is only available in china/aliexpress,I either deem the device no fix,or let the customer assume full responsibility and pay me up front for the chips+the repair attempt.If they dont agree,they can bother some other shop.Time is money my friends, and every minute that passes, for a business,no matter how small,there are expenses.
