Finnaly i found someone fixing the exact same fault mine has. Thanks Joey
Thanks. Excellent video
This was a wild hunut but you made it!
Wow talk about a roundabout ride, that was roundabout I’m glad u found the right turn off to get to fix this ps4.
Unbelievable that those chips have become expensive. I bought two of them for like 5 bucks like 3 years ago. It was the first QFN ic I changed ever. It took me many attempts to get it right… As I do this for fun it wasn’t an issue though.
Excellent repair! I’m concerned about that Winbond chip. One of the legs is heavily corroded and looks like it’s rusted. It’s a ticking time bomb.
Awesome sauce
Nice I'm just about to start work on one of these fat ps4 it has 2-3 second blue light then shutdown
I have see the bridge at the 5:50 😁
so expensive! 40 pounds for the GL3520. In Canada I can get it for around $8, which is like 6 pounds probably. Maybe its just the source you're getting it from?
How do I give you a PlayStation to fix? And how much does it cost? My USB ports act strange I think the output is high and it’s only the front I have a pa4 pro and my led keyboard will just blink with one of the front ports then blink light at a certain angle in the other front port please give me some way to contact you and diagnose this problem thank you
I had 2 change that chip 3 times b4 it came right.
So what was wrong with the initial donor chip with everything being shorted still? I was confused by that.
There was nothing wrong with the donor chip originally, it went faulty because of something on the board which caused the fault on the chip, and because of those shorted components, it killed the donor chip.
This is known as collateral damage, it’s very commonly seen with busted ports or other specific faults.
What’s the fix / solution for interference caused by the hot air station when your recording audio? I can’t figure it out.
do you mean you can hear the hiss of the heatgun on the audio? If so you just need add a filter to the audio input in obs.
So sometimes when I use my hot air station when I'm recording it makes that interference / static noise. Just like how yours did in this video but it wont stop until I put the hot air down. Once its back on the rack the interference is gone. It like nearly mutes me and I loose that part of the audio. I have never heard that in any of your videos besides this one so I thought maybe there was something you did or are using to prevent it for the most part.@@rocketrepairs
Did you Not notice the Hole in The IC ? 13:12
@@repairwins Jesus Chrrist How hard is he Pushing on the Chip :D You might be right xD
@@repairwins You're right, if you check after 6:38 you'll see the hole appear
I've seen chips explosively blow pinholes like that!
@@ray_gannon Yep Me too
that board needs ultrassonic, shell needs water and soap and the shield needs rust remover + coat of paint otherwise it will continue to rust
A few bridges are ok? Are you for real Joey?
What’s the time stamp for that bud? Video was recorded a while ago!

The pound must be worthless, that style of capacitor is $4 or less on Amazon, but you have to buy a handfull.
He was talking about the chip
I am first.
Bro stop using that filter on ur pic on the thumbnail
I'm loving that filter XD
