    I’ve had my challenger pro for about 6-7 months now. Have a power tune for accuracy and hunting. I added some weight to the hammer and have the reg set at 190. I’m shooting a 95 grain slug at 895. Getting single digit SD and ES under 15. Getting 8 shots from 300 to 200 bar. Holding a 3-4” group at 100 yards off sandbags.

    • @jarroldharrell
      @jarroldharrell Рік тому

      I have this exact same tune with reg and hammer weight pushing 170fpe. I'm also shooting the Griffin 95's and NSA 93's. I'm getting 1.25" groups at 100 yards. I also have a 500cc tank which gets me to 13 shots instead of 8.

      @@jarroldharrell that sounds like a sweet setup. I’ve been real pleased with my challenger pro. Still shooting sweet and no issues. I bet I could tighten my groups up if I can catch a day with no wind. Longest I can shoot indoors is 50 yards in the barn. Where did you get your extended tube? I’d be interested in that. I can realistically get about 10 shots on reg but, I always fill up when my mag is empty. Just more convenient.

    The Challenger Pro is an awesome air rifle. I have one in 30cal. Kind of wish I would have went with the 357 but I didn't. It's a awesome alternative, if you can't afford a FX Maverick Sniper, or FX Impact M3. I look at it this way, the FX Impact M3 is The Lamborghini, & the Challenger Pro is the Corvette. Both are awesome,.& Everyone wants the Lamborghini, but the Corvette will do just fine.

      @air gun fun it's not about fair. I would never be able to compare the 2 fairly because ones been refined and perfected for years and ones just hitting the market as an up and comer but it does set a good level of progression by comparing to one of the apex of the category. We can see how far AEA had come as well as where they can still improve beyond the obvious lol(double regulated & hammer spring tension control). I'm also curious why some are saying the .357 version of the pro is weaker than the .30 when no one has the .357 yet(non prototype). But regardless of that, as I was saying, comparing to anything lesser than the fx might not have the same results to improve from with the pro

    • @FarmerFpv
      @FarmerFpv 2 роки тому +2

      @@smokeairmd6077 Spend a little more and get an airforce Texan. The pro gets sloppy after putting 10 tins through it. It always had crazy POI shifts even after tuning with different pellets and slugs. I bought the FX Maverick .30 cal compact and never looked back. Don't let people deter you from FX airguns, it has so many haters because of the price point. Lots of haters pretend to own one and make false claims. FX has its fanboys which are no better. If you want to put some smacking downrange with a .357 the airforce shoots like a laser beam. It's my go-to for feral hog hunting. I use the Maverick for shooting rock chucks and prairie dogs at 100 + yards because they wind you out or hear you all the time any closer. You can find lots of great .357 cals made in a reliable country that doesn't cut corners. I will be putting my AEA pro for sale on airgun nation once a get a new Oring as it's blowing air back into my face when I shoot.

      Based on avg 880 fps w/ 81gr pellets, the math for me comes to 139fpe at the muzzle. The 68gr @913fps comes to 125.89fpe. The formula I used is velocity x velocity x projectile weight. Then divide by 450,240.
