FUEL Series 30 Min SUPERSET QUADS Workout - Dumbbells | Day 16

    Quads galore today!
    Isometrics, step ups, squats and a few full body movements to get our heart rate up!
    The timer will be on for each superset for either 30 seconds of work, followed by another 30 seconds. However, when it comes to the supersets involving the wall sits, the timer will be 30 seconds of work, followed by 60 seconds of wall sit!
    For this session, you will need a pair of dumbbells (keep a selection nearby if you feel you want to increase or decrease the weight) and a box/stepper to step onto for bodyweight step ups and Bulgarian lunges!
    The dumbbells I am using for your reference throughout are 2 x 15kg each.

      Hi Devansh...Caroline’s workouts are just so fantastically good! She is always so creative, and she really researches her subject material so very well! The result is that we get absolutely brilliant workouts every single day! I haven’t been inside a gym since the first covid lockdown when I discovered Caroline! I have never looked back! And yes...leg day today...and what a workout it looks to be! Wall sits included and a brilliant staple that will test our fitness I’m sure! I’m just about to start! Catch up later! Matthew

    I have seen better results with Caroline in the past two months than in the past two YEARS of challenges with other trainers. I started with IRON, and put on visible muscle. With FUEL, I'm continuing to grow muscle, and my cardiovascular endurance is growing! Excess weight is melting off, and I can see even more definition. It's WILD! It's SO GOOD!!! Thank you, queen! 👑

      @@dawnmg1022 While I highly recommend just following the order that she posts her programs, I definitely have my faves! ☺️ I picked 5 that I really love, and that cover a lot!
      For lower body (even calves!) I like Fuel day 11. Most leg days are either just glute or just quad focused, but this one does it all.
      For upper body, I like Fuel day 30 for the same reason as the the lower; it's well rounded with both push and pull exercises.
      To help with keeping it all even, I like Iron day 14 because it focuses on unilateral strength and stability (left side vs right side!)
      I love a no-weights full body day like Fuel day 20. It's more difficult than just a typical cardio day, because it uses your bodyweight! So it's a great strength+cardio exercise.
      All that said, my absolute FAVOURITE Caroline day of all time is Epic Endgame day 25 - the knockout HIIT! I really amp up the music, use hand weights, and I feel like a badass EVERY TIME, haha! You gotta keep your core tight the whole time, and make every punch count. It's SO FUN!

    I feel it's important that I share this because since I found this channel I am amazed at the content, how well everything is thought out, and how my life changed.
    My story:
    - I didn't really work out in the past 15 years. I didn't think I could enjoy it, it was a burden.
    - I started training using your videos around new years. I'm getting to the 6 month anniversary of training using your videos.
    - I am amazed that six months have passed and I feel as excited as I was on the first day I found your channel.
    The reasons why I chose Caroline's videos from all the alternatives on youtube were three:
    1. She doesn't "stitch the video together" during the workouts. I love how she had a clock on the table during Beastmode.
    2. She's posting a video almost daily for more than 2 years. She didn't get injured during these two years which means she knows what she's doing and although it seems hard and feels like I'm pushing to the limit, it's actually safe if I follow the instructions with care.
    3. The 5 minutes she adds before and after the actual workout. She gives explanations on how to execute the exercises, talks a bit before and does the cooldown stretches after. It's the perfect amount of talk while I prepare my equipment, water, towel, t-shirt changes.
    I started with Beginner Epic program, then Epic 1 and now I skipped all the programs in-between and started with Fuel.
    I can really see the evolution in "production quality" between Epic 1 videos (which were great!) and the current videos (how she changed the lighting, the custom dumbbells, the on-screen display and the tips).
    Also I can see and feel the evolution of the exercises during these years (I learn something new about the exercises with every single workout - and they feel a bit different than before, I can't put my hand on what it is).
    For the first time in my life I can feel my muscles and I'm losing weight although I'm eating all the stuff that I want.
    Thank you Caroline. You are one of the pillars of my life.

      hey Fabian. Thanks for sharing, and I think the most interesting thing is most of us have nearly the same experience? I can totally agree with you on everything you said!
      In regards the variety, I honestly think it’s Caroline’s talent and intelligence that makes each session so unique but we still perform so many compound movements.
      The production, as you say, is top notch and we must not forget that. Visuals, aesthetics, they are a thing and for sure make may of us happy!
      Indeed, what a great notice about injuries. Sometimes if you just watch Caroline perform the workout, you really see she is so aware of not going over her limits. that doesn’t mean she’s not struggling, but she is challenged in a safe way. That is something I think we all work on and improve with each session. To challenge yourself in any way, but to be aware of safety!
      And just like you I must admit. I hated exercise in the past! I used to actually skip PE classes during school because I didn’t feel like it. Now, my whole view on fitness as a whole has changed.
      I hope you enjoyed todays Quad workout. I think this has got to be the most quad burning quad workout of the FUEL series so far. Hope you have a good rest too, these sessions are no joke… but ain’t we joking either😉😉👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽

    Not gonna lie, I kinda failed at the staple and all the wall sits. I had to stop a lot during most of them. But I kept going, made it through, and I feel great! So even if you stop to rest like I did, don’t feel like a failure. You are still working hard and making a huge difference in your health and body!!

    I've been struggling with my mental health for years now, and lately it's been getting worse and worse. I often struggle to accomplish simple daily-life tasks, and it's been a week that I have neglected any form of exercise, apart from walking, yoga or a bit of random push ups (they used to be my favourite exercise). I planned on completing this whole series, but my brain really won't leave me alone. Still, I'm planning on trying to push myself this week, as your videos always make me feel really better afterwards. Your workouts are one of the few things I look forward to each day. It's not even about physical health at this point - my muscles can't really grow as my appetite is really low and I feel too overwhelmed to eat/cook - it's much more about mental health for me. I sincerly hope that you know how much strenght you give people all around the world, both physical and mental.

    I dreaded for a few hours before attempting my first serious Caroline cardio of FUEL day 15! I thought of dying but didn’t. Only needed to modify on jumping lunges and single leg burpees, and did everything else with very minimal pauses. So proud and felt accomplished. Can’t believe I was able to get past halfway through. I’m even more fit and lean since IRON? Thank you so much Caroline!!!

    I’ve been excited for this lower body workout...and what a lot we have to look forward to!       Quad galore is an understatement. That was just out of this world. When Caroline wrote how she is going to give everything and more in the sessions this week, I knew we are in for a painful ride. Wow, yesterday's staple wasn't even close in intensity. Crouch to jump always burn my quads like no other exercise and after all the heavy dumbbell work the burn was ten times more intense. I could manage 20-22 crouch jumps and than 8-10 crouch burpees. I loved the exercises, how they complemented each other, the addition of wall sits which I always enjoy performing and step ups which are new favourite of so many. My legs felt like Bambi's legs during squat to lunge😅 The last minute of wall sit felt like eternity but I managed to hold the whole minute ( after that I gracefully collapsed on the floor😂). Stellar abs were the perfect cool down, giving some more love to obliques felt nice!
      Caroline never dissappoints regarding the monday post workout feeling! Now I am refreshed and determined to have productive week ahead!

    Despite easy looking structure it was one of the most challenging leg days I have had since now.exactly the center of quads are targeted and the last sit up.... was a killer :) . The interesting part for me is that this type of workouts (Fuel and HIIT) is started to be my favorite!! the hardest, the better I feel at the end!! and this all I awe to dear Caroline. Thank you again and again. Good monday.

    Does anyone else see quicker results doing her workouts vs with other trainers at the gym?
    I've trained with different trainers and Caroline's supersets, controlled muscle group/isolation expedites gains!
    I literally do her workouts twice a day!
    Absolute best combinations of workouts for gains!

    Omg! This one for me is the hardest on of this series so far!!😱😱😱 🔥 Oy! Burning and high heart rate. The finisher does just that - finished me!! Don’t think about it - just get it done team!!!👍👍

    Loved this quad wo. Building stamina for life! I appreciate my ligaments, tendons and joints. We are not just looking better, our bodies are stronger in every cell. Our brains are more resilient. We are clearing out the toxins. What great privilege it is to exercise. Thank you.

    Sheesh especially after all the birpee variations from yesterday!!! I was just walking around like what am I gone do today I know legs however the QUAD FOCUS YIKES all I have to say Wall sits anyone whew! Thanks Caroline whenever wondering what to do oh Caroline gives you something to do!!!

    Wow! What a sweaty workout! Towards the end, my legs were shaking and I could only walk out to plank and then crouch stand lol. I still did them and then the additional abs workout. Can I just say that since I’ve been doing Caroline workout series (epic 1 and 2 and continuing) that my legs have been so strong. I supplement my active rest days with running. My time on my mile has gone down and I feel so good and strong after my trail runs. Again thank you for the awesome content you put out! Let’s keep getting strong together!

    Wow! My quads are on FIRE. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Caroline today. A week back I was lying in bed, eating junk and feeling sick and miserable. I didn't at all expect to bounce back this quickly. Being with CG consistently really pays off. My recovery was quick and I feel like a million bucks. What a fantastic workout! Thank you Caroline! You're truly my hero!

    Woohoo!! Quads 💥. Superb combo of each Superset. Staples were Killer! HR raised and quads ouch. Yey for Step-ups and Wall sits. After the Finisher..face was red, sweaty, and legs were Done. Awesome Monday Sesh! Also smashed the add-on STELLAR Abs.

      You rock girl👏👏 well done today. That was not easy. Was so demanding esp after Burpees yesterday. Was determined not to give in!! Loved step up again but really burned after lunge squat. As for last wall sit ouch...legs were a quivering mess but lasted the minute. Stellar abs done too✅ not done those in an age so tough. Great start to the week 🙂

    Caroline, your workouts are the best. I quit the gym 2020 and never went back. I will never return to a gym again. You are the best so far in all of my workouts that I have done.     Wow...this was incredible!!! All the exercises were so well chosen to work hard those quads (but also the glutes and the calves); the staple and the wall sits were killers!     This is the workout that made me love leg day again. For what feels like months I’ve been dreading squats, disliking lunges, resenting hamstrings and always preferring upper body workouts. But today I did a proper leg warmup, did some quad activation, and then this workout was perfect for focus and mental rehab. this workout was so challenging, yet with plenty of time for intentional resets and stretching within. It showed me that I CAN do squats without knee pain!

      @@tonym7702 I haven't cycled this year yet. I have a road bike. Going back a few years ago I cycled all the time. I suppose I don't have that much time on my hands when I do Caroline's workouts and kids have training/matches in the evening.

      @@annereidy515 I road cycle, mainly as a way of transport, handy in London and quicker than most options. I know what you mean once the kids come along time takes on a whole new meaning ! The weight training has definitely increased my stamina on the bike, have you noticed it with your running ?

    Happy Monday and Happy Summer All!
    Here we go with week four! My FUEL schedule is a little different. Sunday’s I swim and on Monday do the Sunday workout and turn my upper body into an hour on Tuesday when I add an IRON session. One day of lower body on Wednesday is good. 🏋🏾 FUELis now a favorite, the strength and cardio is working for me. Caroline, there is no question that you know your stuff! 💪🏾💪🏾Thank you

    Oh my geeeee! This was something-else. Not sure whether I can walk after this. I actually forgot about wall-sits. I see so many people have returned to the gym head-on, and sometimes I wonder whether I need to go back. However, with this programme, and just building fitness equipment bit by bit, I really do not see it as necessary. Truth be told I was going to join a fitness programme for 12 weeks, but I want to stick to CG and if I form my discipline around this, and with my eating habits etc, I believe that I will reach where I want to reach!

    FUEL is 16 days old and can't be missed every week. I have been watching YT channel home sports for 10 years, and the last 3 years are almost all watching your sports channels and practicing. You are my current favorite sport YT, and I really helped a lot with sports at home. Very lucky to see your channel 3 years ago and have been following you ever since. Your physical strength is too strong, and some movements I can only do according to my ability. (I'm 49 years old this year and have been exposed to home sports for years.) It's really great to make me a lot younger than people my age. )

    I missed the burpees HIIT yesterday as I'm on holiday and was travelling, but it's a driving holiday so a set of weights were popped in the car and I did a modified workout. I feel like Caroline is on holiday with us. 😁

    Fun! This was pretty tough and I did find myself pausing once and rewinding a few seconds so that I could get into position. I miss making time for this kind of training every day, but I've just started a new job and I'm finding it hard to motivate myself to do this daily.
    I'm looking forward to reestablishing a routine around endurance training once I've found my feet - and it will help once it warms up a bit more here in South Africa😅
    Thoroughly enjoying this programme, even if I'm only doing it two days a week at the moment.

    Done with 15kg dumbbells... what a tough session! The staple was especially tough; I was really struggling to keep going because my quads were on fire! 🔥

    As always, we have another brilliantly thought out muscle group workout. Before when I had a choice to either lay in or go to the gym, I’d stay in bed for sure.
