    Why is the libary does not work? i did evreything right but when i donload something it jsut doesent download it into the blibary. i reloaded and it did nothing what do i do????????? how do i fix it?

    unfortunately not working in Blender 4.1, mac. Library says it'"s valid, python error on adding available assets to library

    Not showing for me in the Shader editor (using version 1.0 in Blender 4.0). Also, The EasyPBR Asset library has been created in the Asset Browser but it's empty. Any idea? Thanks in advance.

    Next issue - add assets does nothing, there is no library named Easy PBR, so whole list remains untouched, I can add manually from shader editor window but "this is not the way"
    It works only if I add the path manually via user prefs using File Paths tab.
    UP: deleting all the paths, reassign all the paths again helps, so it created a new asset lib named Easy_PBR_Library in assets browser.

    Last week, I used this addon without any problems.
    Then it was gone and I had to reinstall it and now it just wont work anymore.
    After downloading the Texture there comes an error message after trying to apply the texture.
    Python: Traceback (most recent call last):

    What does this mean?

      Use the version 1.0 of the add-on with blender 4.0.

    I am in Blender 3.1.2. Easy BPY shows as installed but does not show up in my Shader Editor N side panel. Other plugs do.

    ALT+P does not work, whatever I do.
    UP: solved somehow, I created a new mat then hit alt+p it works, but new issue - first attempt was "wood siding" and it is TOOOOOOOO GLOSSY. Like polished or wet wood. Not PBR (EEVEE)
    UP2: solved by reassign
    ecreate a new material, now it is not as glossy as before. Wierd for me

      For Blender 4.0 use the version 1.0 of the add-on.

    very good addon. but i don`t know if i installed library corectly. i tried to download vie email not via addon and all materials are not visible in assets window. Do i install separatly all of the materials via addon?

    Hey! I don't if you heard but Quixel Megascans will be closing their Bridge app and going for something called "Fab" sometime in the middle of this month. Quixel is letting all their assets, including their army of materials/textures, go for free. I was wondering if Easy PBR can "read" all the materials from a local machine. I know the Local option is there but it looks like its just for AmbientCG. Or if not, I should work with any material; because these Megascan textures/materials are PBRs so was wondering with Easy PBR will read them OK. Uhhh...asking for a friend lol :D

      I know Quixel, but I'm not sure if they provide a public API to download their assets.
      The add-on uses only AmbientCG for the moment because their API is easy to deal with.
      It's possible to add other libraries, but it will require a lot of work, unfortunately I'm very busy with multiple projects right now.

      @@monaime Oh OK and I completely understand. Guess I'll run my own test to see if I can work with the textures. And yeah I don't think it will be a public API as Fab will be their main vehicle for future dealings with the assets.

    in 3.3 ltsand 3.4 alpha. just disconnect the normal map in bsdf the texture is shown in eevee and just adjust scale in displacement as it was too strong to .1or to your liking.

    Thanks for the addon. I am having issues with the addon on Blender 4.2. I thought I sent an email via Gumroad but I don't think it got through. I get an error "No module named 'charset_normalizer.api' when trying to activate the addon. I redownloaded and reinstalled the addon and no go. In Preferences, it labels the addon as "Legacy (User)" instead of "Extension". What am I doing wrong?

      First, make sure you are using the version 1.1.0 of the add-on for Blender 4.2.
      I think there is a conflict with something else you have installed, because there is no module named "charset_normalizer.api" in the add-on.
      To investigate the cause of the issue, you can disable the add-ons/extensions that you suspect to be the culprits, save the preferences, then restart blender.
      The "legacy" type is not an issue, I think it's not accurate from the blender devs to name them that way, because it sounds like it's outdated.

      @@monaime HAZAAAA!!!! Found out what it was. You were right. It was another addon causing the issue. It dawned on me after skimming thru a very LONG thread with someone else having a similar issue, that the addon "Bonsai" is causing the issue. Strange because it is on the Blender extension site. After I uninstalled that addon, "Easy PBR" and other addons I was having the same issue with started to light up like Christmas trees lol. I better contact the Bonsai team (formerly known as BlenderBIM) and let them know something is going on with their addon that it is "breaking" Blender somehow. Thanks again for your help and suggestion. :D

    Sorry but the EPBR menu doesnt shows up im using blender 3.0.0 it says its instaled ok but on the right menu i dont have it

      If the add-on is installed correctly you should have the menu in the Shader Editor.
      Do you have any messages in the console?

      @@monaime Ok everything works like a charm , the menu is" hidden" 😋 in the shading workspace .I love it , the option that you can choose between 1, 2, or 4k is nice the library is clean and well organized.Thank you for your effort for making this tool public you helped out a lot of artists with this 🙂✌️

    I'm using 2.80 and I am having trouble getting the relative path changed to an absolute path I have tried all the folders in and around the folder I downloaded the library to and then some but all I get is "wrong directory" How do I change the relative path in 2.80?

      Unfortunately 2.8 is too old and the API changed alot since then, the add-on works with Blender 2.93 and above.

    Hey, i dont think the addon works on 3.1.0, it keeps telling me that there is "No internet connection." I tried reinstalling and changing library folders but still nothing.

      I just tested it and it's working for me, maybe the issue has something to do with your configuration, or the function that tests the internet connection.

      @@monaime Well it doesnt work for me, i have a normal ethernet connection and basic configruation. Its weird that nobody else encountered this error. Are there region based limitations? Or anything like that?

      @@wssoup You are the first to report this.
      The function that checks the internet connection tries to connect to a Google server, because the server is always working, it's not a great solution, but it's the best that I have encountered.
      In the next update I will add the option to disable checking for the internet connection.

      @@wssoup For the add-on it's not an error, that's why there are no messages, but it's definitely a false negative.

    I tied installing. It said wrong path bor the directory and I tried it three diffrent ways and even open and closed blender. And my PBR folder is empty.

    Simply amazing!! I ran into a problem if I want to create assets from my local library. I tried to follow your indication but after I click on "Add all available..." button in preferences nothing happens, asset browser is always empty, I'm using MacBook and Blender 3.0. Im doing something wrong? thanks in advance

      Try to save the preferences before launching the operator.
      Do you have any messages in the console?
      Do you have the library "Easy PBR" empty? Or no library at all?

    Is this still in developing or left behind? I saw that its still in beta and the database when downloaded the files is from 05.2022. so I’m a bit concerned if it still makes sense to learn that add on. I’m new to pbr stuff and that add on seams to help me a lot getting started and understanding how it works.
    any comments from the dev?🤓 would love to hear from you!

      The add-on is not actively developed, so don't expect new features any time soon.
      But i will try to maintain it for as long as I can.

    is it still working in 2023? i tried to download via the EPBR tab in blender however it keeps on failed to download. could you help me?

      Go to the preferences and in the "Internet" tab enable "Ignore Internet Connection Check", if the problem is caused by your location, that should fix the problem.

      @@ayotimo7605 It seems like they have updated the API on ambientCG, to fix it go to the Library tab in the preferences of the add-on, then click on the button "Update AmbientCG Library", wait for the database to be updated then it should work fine.

      I'm getting the download error issue, I disabled the "Ignore Internet Connection Check" and tried updating the library. Blender says the library is up to date, but in the Add-ons window the Last Update date says 2022-04-04, instead of current date. Any ideas for a fix?

    the program doesn't work with blender 3.6. It doesn't appear in the N panel.

    In 3.2 the bump map can not connect to the normal map automatically. 3.1 works totally fine.

    I was able to fix the problem for the asset browser, thanks for your reply! Now I have another problem. I tried to follow your video instruction (time stamp 7:20) and when I connect an image texture in the factor the object turns pink as if it couldn't find any image in the material (viewport shading - material). It doesn't happen if I switch to render mode. It doesn't happen if I connect other texture images as noise, musgrave ...

      here is a fix.. mapping type cha normal map change to object space instead of tangentnge to texture instead of point and from the bsdf connect it to normal as it was connected to tangent.

      simple just change connection from tangent to normal in bsdf. its working in 3.4

      You can do it manually, by going to the textures folder then delete the folder of the shader.
      I will add the option to delete the textures in one the future releases.
