Hope you get your 35-150 soon. I got one of the first batch in Texas and have gotten to use it at an indoor gymnastics meet and it was perfect. It is a pretty large and heavy lens, however. Price one pays for f2-f2.8.
@Anthony LiPani, @9:22, “I’m the guy that waits and when the USPS comes…”. Bro, are you talking about me? Nice video. I have the 17-28/2.8 and agree not much is mentioned about it. I also have the 70-180/2.8 which is an alternative to Sony’s 70-200/2.8.
Hey brother sorry for the delay I’ve been in and of the vet and neurologist for my dog all week he’s having some problems… tees should arrive around the middle of this upcoming week!
Testing out the Tamron 17-28 right now so this videos timing was perfect! I’m looking for a better alternative to my Laowa 15mm F2; mainly in the AF and versatility department. Thanks for the great content as always!
Excellent review and commentary, Anthony. Solid choices all around. I have the Viltrox 24mm FE f/1.8 lens, and I love it. It's a solid lens that works perfectly with my A7iv's autofocus. Thankfully, my aperture ring doesn't squeak at all. Not a big deal if it did. I heard recently that the latest firmware update for the Viltrox 24mm makes the AF inconsistent. So, I think I'll stay away from updating my lens until further notice. Have you updated your Viltrox? If so, what is your experience? I, too, am looking for a decently priced zoom, like a 28-70 f2.8 or similar. While I mostly use primes, having a zoom on hand opens up the possibilities. For example, I shot a feature film with the GH5 using Panasonic's 12-60mm f2.8-4 lens. It worked great, and I never changed lenses for the entire shoot. Something to be said for zooms. Great content, Anthony. Thanks so much.
i have the sony 16-35 f4 & sigma 100-400 after all said and done but thinking about getting another lens either one of the macros sony 90mm or sigma 105 or even the 65 f2 non macro
What are your favorite 3rd party lenses????
Love the budget friendly / budget gem videos like this!

the samyang 35mm f1.4
the tamron 28-75mm
Great video and examples of the different lens being used in the video to see real life scenarios!
Tamron 28-200, Sigma 16mm 1.4
Double down on that 28-200 👌🏾
That 28-200 is super versatile

Would you pick the viltrox 24mm 1.8 or the samyang 24mm 1.8?
