It is interesting that all of the lenses that you selected for this video are third party. I guess they will always be a much better bang for buck.

Samyang 135 is a phenomenal lens, it renders even smoother than GM. I also love Samyang FE 24 F1.8 AF, it's tiny and renders beautiful images.

Thank you for yet another great video, as always! I have the Tamron 28-200 and couldn't resist the Tamron 50-400 when it came out. I love them both. Even if I tend to use the 50-400 more than the 28-200, the latter is the on i brought when I went hiking for a couple of weeks last month. I wanted to bring a single lens into the mountains and I knew the 28-200 would get the job done. Super versatile, sharp, small and lightweight.

The Samyang 135mm 1.8 is amazing. I've had it for 2-3 months and I'm in love with it.

Thank you for presenting some very good alternatives to the Sony lenses available. Take care.

Thanks for the great reviews Stefan. For value, I would swap the Tamron 35-150 with the Samyang 35-150 version and save $500. My bonus buy would be the Samyang 35mm 1.8. It's a great walkaround lens, perfect for professional work too and just $300!

I’d also add the Samyang 75mm f1.8 as a great budget portrait lens. Tiny, light, sharp IQ! All for

Thanks for sharing ! I have the Viltrox 16mm, 28-200 and recently the 50-400. I wish the VC (Vibration Compensation) of the 50-400 was a little better though. I can certainly recommend the 28-200 for sure. It's inexpensive, small, light and has a very versatile zoomrange. I've taken such sharp images with that lens.

My friend just picked up the Samyang 35-150 for $1000. I think Tamron is going to have to come off their $1900 price point.

I went and purchased my 4th samyang lens the 135mm f1.8 AF. I had great success with my other lenses the 35 and 85 mm F1.4 version one in 15 mm F1.4 version two. And when I got the new 135 mm I was really disappointed with it not hitting the focus. Maybe getting 2 out 10 photos in focus. I bought it so I could have a back up to my 135 mm GM that I use for all my racing photos plus a use it for 80% of my senior portraits. And it was the first time I had any issues with a Samyang lense. I sent it back and didn’t try another copy and I wish I would have. It won’t discourage me from buying any more of their lenses because they have some great auto focus lenses for the Sony cameras.

Sorry to hear that! I’ve had my Samyang 135 for about 5 months now and haven’t experienced any AF issues with my copy. It’s worth giving it another shot.

@@zachmerritt4668 yeah I think I'm going to give it another try. On Amazon Prime day they had it for $500 and some dollars. When I bought it I paid $800 and some dollars plus tax it was close to 900$. I put my $135 mm GM through some rough conditions at the dirt bike and ATV races with rain mud you name it that lens has gone through a torture test. But I also use it for portraits so I'm like a Boy Scout be prepared so I like having a backup. And when I had the samyang version when it did hit it was a great photo. I bought the docking station and updated the firmware as soon I got it while updating the rest of my lenses. Yeah I got nothing against samyang they have the best performance to Dollar lenses out there

I only have two lens. Sigma 50mm art f1.4 gd dn, and samyang 35-150mm f2-2.8. Haven't desided what wider lens I want but for now I don't really need one.

Why the Tamron 50-400, the Sigma 100-400 is sharper and cheaper and even beats the 2000 Sony Lense which the Tamron definitely does not
