I followed the recipe exactly but left out the cilantro because I'm not a fan. I buttered my corn tortillas and joined you during the taste test. The chipotles take it over the top and the flavor is delicious! I would not suggest leaving them out for anyone trying this recipe unless they don't like a little heat. Oh my dear friend, you've taken me right back to my mama's kitchen and a version of caldo de pollo she used to make and I forgot about. Thank you for this recipe as it stirs up so many memories and the smell when making this soup is divine. Definitely will make this one later this week as we're in the middle of a nice frosty artic front. I made a big pot of beans, sopa de fideo and cornbread for dinner and we're happy campers. So glad that you're getting your jaw problems fixed as we know how very important our teeth are. My dentist has been working to build up my bottom tooth line's bone. I was just enjoying your explanation of making a delicious looking soup and I never made soup with rice because I’ve never found one I liked but I know yours is delicious because all the recipes I’ve tried have been excellent. 😊thank you!
