Ural M72 / KMZ K750 - Ignition timing setup

In this video you can see how to setup the ignition timing for this SV engines. The ignition timing correct values are 8 degrees or 1.8-2mm before TDC for starting the engine and 8-9mm before TDC or 35 degrees for maximum advance when you operate the engine. Unfortunately because I have the problem with the camshaft that I have showed on my previous video I was able to set the timing only on 0 degrees for starting the engine and around 25 degrees / 5mm before TDC for maximum advance. But even with this values this engine should run in good conditions.

Yeah me too, thanks! I just bought a 1973 UraL with a K750 engine/gearbox in Australia and clear information is hard to find.... 👍

Greetings. Do you use the eccentric screw at all for setting the distributor plate when setting up timing or just the way your video shows?

Is it normal that spring in retarder going back that knob?
