Hi Corey. I think it will, but go look on ebay at the electronic inditions for for urals, as all the info will be with the item. Also joint so change jiang groups on facebook as they are quite a few of a them / helping people
Hi Jeff. I have just bought the same system. But, because the rotor can fully rotate, how did you work out what position the rotor needed to be in with relation to the sensor? You have drawn a line through the led on the casing and then also have drawn aline on the rotor. How did you work this out and at what positon should the engine be at? I don't have a TDC inspection hole in the engine case on mine so getting TDC or BTDC is tricky but if i can understand what you did, I'm sure it will help. Thanks if you are able to reply. Cheers
I just installed mine for k750. According to instractions: after you install hardware, connect power. Set ur cylinder position to top most possition. On k750 ull need to take off cylinder head(8 bolts 30Nm or 20lbs of torque to tighten back, be careful!) Rotate module( central round part) until red LED light turns ON. Then rotate counterclockwise untill it barely turns off. For dneprs and urals its clockwise rotation. Tighten the modual. And assamble all back. Start the bike. Let it worm up. Adjust the sensor ( outside modual with black cover up to +/-10 degrees) for optimal idle. Be sure ur carbs and valves are adjusted to spec. Before you do this. Check spark plugs for gap of 7-8mm. Check module gap and sensor ( so they dont rub on eachother) replace sparkplug wires and ignition coil as well for optimum performance with sovek parts ( russian :совек)
Hi Jeff, I’m fitting this to M72 .There is no provision to fitting coil inside cover so it looks like I will have to fit it externally, like the original. Is this a problem.? The manual is not in English but I gather from other uTube videos that the LED light should be set to TDC. Is this correct. Your comments would be much appreciated.
Hi Jack sorry for long relay in getting back to you, but life got in the ways here. Yes I notice that the coil didnt fit inside the cover after I fitted the electronic ignition. So I fitted an external coil with two HT lead that crew in - which works really well. Also as for setting the electronic ignition, the way I do it, is I set TDC on the compression stroke in one of the cylinders, and I turn the electonic ignition counter clockwise untill the red light goes out, then I very slowly turn it clockwise till it just cone on. Then I tighten the bolts. Later when the bike is all running ok, I check the timing again - just to tweak it so to speak. Hope this helps. Cheers Jeff
Hi Koning. They are ok, but not on the 750 engine as I really strugguled to get it to working but I think I had the wrong centre piece, plus there are no timing marks on the dnepr 750 flywheel or viewing holes on the engine case which makes it even garder to get it right. But this electronic works much better with the dnepr 650 engine which I have now fitted. I cant remember which twin coil I bought, but I have some photos if you want to see them. email me here, and I'll send you some photos jrvapourblasting@gmail.com CHeers JEFF
Ye, theres is no sound, as I had builders using a jack hammer next door so I turned the sound off. It's not like people cant follow what I'm doing here Peter

Careful. Some of these units do not like gettimng hot. They run when hot, but do not re-start until they cool down somewhat.
Hi Jeff, do you have a recommendation or picture of where you mount the ignition coil? Best regards
I,LL send you a photo in the morning, to dark now
What engine you got 650 or 750 denpr
not sure, the engine looks like the one on the video. It is the version with the side valves.@@JeffRoberts-KMZKM-Restoration

When I bought my Dnepr 750, the coil was fitted to the right side next to the alternator. Are you on facebbok
.hello, interesting, could you tell me what diameter the ignition has if you please? Thank you very much in advance Regards
Will this work on a Chang Jiang 750 SV 6v positive ground system.

I think this is an electronic timing module, not electronic ignition...

Are these ignitions any good Jeff ? What coil did you use ?
