Seems appropriate to upload this video with the 38mm Bambino around the corner. Let me know what you think about it in the comments below.

I wish they just change the new Bambino 38mm case size and retain other details. The roman numerals and also the blue pointers is stunning. The new 38mm, not so much. The blue hand pointers on the new 38mm look black at most times.

I bought this same watch for myself and literally adore it except, as has been mentioned, that dreadful strap.
Fortunately a very light tan ostrich leather strap which I was keeping to twin with something really special fits perfectly and takes the watch to another level of elegance.
In fact it gets so many admiring comments it has become my most worn dress watch.

This has been running lately $180-200 in the US but saw they Amazon had the Japanese version sold by Amazon Japan for $128 currently with free shipping so I finally purchased it. The only possible downside I've heard is some have claimed the warranty isn't honored because it's an international model but that's only a 1 year warranty anyways.

    What is your wrist circumference?

I own this watch and love it. Put a Hirsch strap on the piece and it's raring to go anywhere. Thanks for the review. I do however wish they would get rid of the 21mm lug size, but that's a minor quibble.

Thanks for watching! Fun fact: they made the lug width 20mm on the new 38mm Bambino models

I have exactly the same watch model as yours -- good taste 😎, and I love it -- except for the straps! So I changed it with an "antique" like extendable bracelet soon after I received it. It looks ways better and more mature (old fashion but elegant, that is, except for its case diameter -- watches of the yesteryears were much smaller).
I also have an Orient Mako II and a Tristar Altair (AK0507L10A). For the same reason, I replaced the sub-par straps of the Altair with a mesh bracelet, which changed its look right away. And I love all of my Orient watches. PERIOD

Would love to know exactly what straps you used, because I am yet to find a suitable replacement that I like.
And I agree with your sentiment - most of Orient's watches are quite impressive, especially for their price. My personal favorite is the Kamasu. :)

@@ChronometerCheck I bought a "Bandini stainless steel stretch watch band, straight end, metal expansion strap" (product descriptions) through Walmart for CAD$20.95 (all inclusive). The end links, like the bracelet itself, are also stretchable; so it fits very well to the 21 mm lug width.
As for the 20 mm mesh bracelet for my Tristar, it's not difficult to find one that fits.
BTW, I'm 70 y.o.; and don't mind to be seen as "old fashion".😅

@@krakenreleased9863 Thank you very much for sharing! I haven't yet considered a bracelet like that in my collection. Given its extendability, looks like it will be versatile in that it could fit quite a few different watches.
And hey, I think we could all use a little more 'old fashioned' in this day and age. Thanks again for watching and for the thoughtful comments. 👍
