After hearing about how sleep deprived they were, their only beverage was alcohol, and they could never leave with their wallets and phones taken away, I was horrified. No wonder people fell asleep on set and were mean. I wonder if some people’s attitudes were due to being drunk. This production deserves to be sued. This abuse, neglect, and everything else is not ok. I get reality shows are not real, but these people are employees. Treat them well.
I'm a bartender and I can def tell you that a majority of the conversations among the cast members that happened in Mexico and Chelsea's birthday were blackout drunk
tbh Brett's meltdown about the pants made so much sense to me. He and Tiffany were the only ones that seemed dead set on getting married because they're madly in love, so Brett wanting everything to be perfect (especially the outfit he's wearing for his wedding) is very on brand for someone who actually cares about the big day. Sometimes I cringe at how bad the fits of the dresses are because of how quickly they had to throw their outfits together so I honestly liked that Brett cared that much haha
It was honestly a completely normal day-of-wedding reaction. You have so much stress about everything else and you want to look your best. There's going to be so many eyes on you, in their case millions, and so many pictures. The fit of your clothes should be the last thing you have to worry about.
I’m low key certain they told him to find something to complain about loudly so they’d have something interesting for the day and some low key stressful lines for the previews.

@@zombieedrea I suppose it depends where they fall on the hot crazy scale. I've known several hot witches but they inevitably ended up north of the line, in the crazy zone.
Each season about 2 couples out 5 get married. So I think there is pressure for some of them to get married so fans can't say it is a " failure" . But based on those couples, they did find their partner attractive. The ones that failed did not find their partner attractive. So it showed me " Love is not blind" lol
At least in shows like real housewives it’s wannabe celebrities who are willingly causing fake drama for the cameras. There’s an unspoken understanding that most of the drama is fake and the cast is willfully putting on a show. Love is blind is just normal people trying their best and ending up traumatized. The “drama” in most cases is real, and actually hurts the contestants lives.
I know that "fruity" is old, but I've never heard about packing sugar or whatever and being a "teapot". The last one especially feels like something so weird that I can't imagine being offended by it beyond the fact that the person saying it intended it to be negative.
@@darkithnamgedrf9495 You would be surprised. It's unfortunate but a lot of people who genuinely support worker's rights are happy to turn around and be like "except for ppl who did X thing, they should suffer"
Can we talk about how messed up Vanessa Lachey’s baby comments are? Like damn, not everyone wants or can have children. You never know what someone is going through in regards to fertility issues etc. I just felt so gross every time she started to pressure contestants into having kids immediately.
Vanessa will get hit with the "Just wait until your 14-year-old kid has 2 kids of her own because you groomed your husband enough to make her life hell. But yeah, we all as women should have kids right?"
I hate dating shows, but I like having Jarvis tell me about them anyways. Like a friend who tells you about a hobby you don’t enjoy, but you like how happy it makes them to talk about it.
Yep. I don’t want to hear about this show ever again after I watch this video and I already forgot the faces of the contestants. But Jarvis somehow makes this entertaining.
Bj investigates went through the lawsuit filed against Netflix and the most concerning thing for me was that it stated production withheld their phones, wallets, (credit cards/cash, I.D and all), passports, and hotel room keys. Cast members were shuttled to and from the love is blind set and their individual hotel rooms daily by crew members who couldn’t talk to them. They didn’t have a way of leaving even if they wanted to! They couldn’t order food to their hotel room because they had no money, and even if they’d managed to get a couple dollars for the vending machine from a stranger, they didn’t have keys to their own room! On the love is blind set, there wasn’t really any water available, while the alcohol was fully stocked 24/7. If you were thirsty, you had no other option than to drink alcohol. manipulating the environment while restricting individual rights to freedom and autonomy is psychological torture for the sake of content. As an additional slap to the face, Netflix most definitely underpaid these people ( lower than minimum wage in CA) and does not provide mental health resources after the show. It’s truly disgusting stuff
That's crazy. And it's shocking they didn't do the after care that all reality shows so these days. Having the therapy afterwards is such a great improvement for reality shows. But if they aren't going to give them water or food.... fuck. Did they want lawsuits?
I know that they had sinks and I'm sure bathrooms in the common areas so my ass would of been drinking from the sink lol I need my water or I would die from all that alcohol. Definitely crappy situations for sure especially if the water is disgusting in that area. All around just the wrong way to treat people. It's not necessary to get good content.
@@elizablue8134 me too, i drink sink water sometimes like it’s wtv. But they should have been providing like soda and juice and water for the shut these people were going through. Also tons of good food. this is fucked up.
The cast has handlers the take care of each participant. What I'd like to see is contract that each participant signs. The contract may give the producers the right to do whatever it takes to get a specific scenario or wording.
I feel like had Vanessa actually asked the proper questions and grilled them like she did Marshall and Paul those girls wouldn’t be getting dragged online as hard as they are now. Like I feel Irina isn’t getting it so bad because she was held accountable at the reunion and Zach took her to task.
Why aren't there shows about people gaining a group of friends or like joining in one. We have enough dating shows. let's see someone become best friends
Terrace House is a lot like that! There was some controversy surrounding the mental health of some of the contestants unfortunately, so the show has been on an indefinite hiatus. The seasons that are on netflix are really cozy and wholesome though :)
This is not a jab at Jarvis but I wish more UA-camrs would start boycotting these shitty shows that mainly exploit toxic behaviors (because drama is fun?) and extremely unethical ways of production. Really, I don't get it, what's the fun here.
Women like jackie piss me off for a lot of reasons but one of the main ones is that she just enforces toxic masculinity standards. I WANT a guy that doesn’t yell and isn’t aggressive; someone who expresses their emotions and is kind to everyone. Her telling Marshall he’s less of a man simply because he didn’t want to treat her like shit is so messed up. Like it’s one thing to want a “traditionally masculine” man, but it’s another to put another man down for just being his own healthy person. Ugh. (Also this doesn’t excuse anything either of them said)
The fact yall say that Marshall saying one thing is equal to everything Jackie did shows WOMEN HAVE IT SO DAMN EASY AND MEN CANNOT SHOW A SINGLE NEGATIVE EMOTION. Ah yes Marshall is just as bad as Jaquelina just because he said one thing. You really give women such a pass. Jaquelina is a horrible person THAT KEPT HIS RING. She deserves nothing but the worst. She deserved what he said. She cheated on him immediately after they got married. But sure, hes the bad guy because he said one thing. The standard for women is so different than for men. A woman can take a man's wedding ring and thats ok. She probably could have stole his belongings and assualted him and gotten away eith it because yall are such simps. 24:06 i understand where shes coming from a little because she isnt rude about it but you dont understand which makes it even more frustrating that you defend her
@Viteaification Marshall is an irredeemable monster but Jackie is a poor woman who deserves therapy. I hope Marshall doesn't listen to lovers on the internet. He is a real man. When he stands up for himself, that's considered ab*se. Women don't ever get to tell men what a man should be.
Jackie saying when she heard Josh's voice at the party it gave her PTSD and she knew she needed to be Whit him, will forever be one of the funniest shit I ever heard on a tv show.
I think she probably meant flashbacks and either had a brain glitch (which I get, it happens) and went flashbacks = ptsd, or her only reference for flashbacks is that they're a trait of ptsd 😅
I definitely feel like the deprivation of food and sleep and contact (which are literal torture methods btw) is to get the contestants more emotionally unstable, dramatic, and ready to "fall in love". People scoff because they signed up for it, but there was little way to know that the conditions would be so harsh, and by the time they realize they are basically forced to stay by heavy financial consequences.
Honestly, they should make sure that their contracts stipulate a reasonable amount of food, sleep and water So that they have recourse to leave or sue if denied
Zack posted a video of the song thing pre-edit. He literally before he sings it that it's not an original, it's by one of his favorite bands, and he changed the lyrics. So definitely the edit did him bad on that one 😬
Actually on Tiktok, Zach showed a clip of where the editors completely left out that he said it was a song from one of his favorite artist and he just changed some of the lyrics for Irina. So it really goes to show the editors leave out a lot of stuff.
I wonder if all the bare feet is because of the shoes and the exhaustion. Everyone's expected to dress super nice, which usually means uncomfortable shoes (especially the women are probably expected to wear heels etc.). If the shoot days are actually this grueling and run into late hours of the night, that wears a person down. People were probably just tired with achy feet, locked either in the 'pod' or the home they're all sharing and no option to change their wardrobe since they're being filmed. If they want to prop their legs up on a sofa for a break, the shoes have to go.
But like also arent they kinda living in these pods? Its pretty normal to have bare feet in your home so if theyre spending most of their time there it makes sense. Idk why ppl get so dramatic about feet. Like I personally am disgusted by the sight of ppl's soles but i logically know that they're just feet and its rlly not a big deal. So odd to me how some ppl treat feet like a private part.
@@oo4758 you know you're probably right, i didnt even think about that. I still think its weird cause just cause some ppl have a fetish over a body part, doest mean you should be all weird about ppl showing that body part, i mean i feel the same way about ("female presenting") nipples. Hella weird how ppl get pressured into hiding a normal non-sexual organ just bc ppl have a fetish for it.
@@idonotresidehere.5709 From what Jarvis has explained, there are the 'pods' they go in for the 'dates,' which apparently often film from 10PM-2AM, there's a common area where they can hang out in a shared space, then the sleeping area is a single room trailer with crappy bunk beds. So the pods and common rooms are the only places they have a shot at being comfortable, and they're in them at really late hours when they're probably already super tired. I don't want to argue that @oo4758 's idea is absolutely not right, but I think it's equally likely these people are exhausted and want to prop their feet up in the only places they can. If you're wearing something like heels, the shoes have to come off for that.
I was surprised Jarvis didn't catch on about the sugar tank thing bc I consider myself oblivious with Southern/Black AAVE and that's a common phrase I knew growing up 💀 calling a guy sweet, sugar in the tank, anything like that is just a way to say gay without saying it
This has been happening on The Bachelor for way too long and no one speaks up because they’re scared of getting sued. I’m so glad the LIB cast is finally speaking the truth!!
the manipulation mentioned about this show is truly present is borderline every reality show ever. Cannot stress this enough. People who don't work in TV or who aren't aware of how tv works often underestimate just how bad the environment is.
I'm nearly positive some quality work could still be edited without manipulation or doing people dirty. It would just take a little more work and require a bit more skill and finesse. But of course they want to choose the quick and dirty "misleading headline" style of generating interest..
I was thinking about this today. I've been rewatching Face Off and they are doing this huge FX projects every single day. I could imagine by a few challenges in they must be so creatively and physically exhausted.... it's different than this ofc but still similar. Imo reality shows don't allow the contestant much room to really showcase their real selves
So, without revealing too much personal info, I do happen to know that one of the "villainized" people from s1 had to spend a significant amount of time in in patient mental health treatment after a serious mental breakdown as a direct result of being on the show. (Not publicized info so I'm trying to be vague) But I think we've seen enough from production on this show to know something is up and they are intentionally setting up volatile situations and pushing certain edits to make a storyline, which would be great if these weren't actual real people who have to go back to their lives after this.
I wish that surprised me but it's basically how these shows work 😕 I hope they're doing better now, it's so fcked how producers will play with peoples sanity for "entertainment"
@sourgreendolly they were doing much better after some time! But it's a struggle bc now people recognize them fairly often. Let me just say production is SHADY, some of the most controversial things were entirely constructed by producers, and I wouldn't be surprised if that's how many of these situations have come to pass.
A youtuber I like who was on a few reality shows (including Ex On The Beach), had to do a video after to sit down with his friend because the show really put a wedge between them and messed them up for a while. He goes out of his way to point out messed up stuff like that on shows like how roup dating adjacent shows will do their best to push contestants to their breaking point because it makes for good TV
Was it Jessica? I saw her grow so much as a person in the After the Altar show that I'm extremely proud of her, but some people still haven't forgiven her. I feel so bad for her.

Fun fact: In the US, if an engagement ring is given as a gift as part of an agreement for understanding of marriage, legally the guy can get the ring back. However if it is a gift for the person’s birthday or something like Christmas and you propose, it’s considered less a symbol of an agreement and becomes the person’s property outright, having been associated with a gift giving occasion. Especially if it’s in lieu of other presents. So if someone proposes on Christmas and you break up, the girl keeps the ring. Just had my first wedding anniversary literally yesterday and have absolutely zero use for this knowledge, but I’ve always found it interesting (kind of like how I know way too much about when it’s illegal for people to be able to see you walking around naked from your windows!)

@sewer~rat it’s kind of specific to (I think specifically Southern) Black culture. They’re variations on “sugar in the tank” but I think they basically serve the same purpose as “fruitcake” (note I am also queer).
They're some older terms I believe. I definitely heard some of them when I was younger. Her whole thing is really gross, and it's gross that Marshall makes a transphobic comment in response. Like I get snapping back because she was being completely awful, but doing so by being transphobic is not okay in the least.
@Lady Kynthos thats such a weird thing to say in the context of someone being called homophobic insults. like "oh i know this was hurtful to you and maybe even others, but i think it's cute :)" is just so.... emotionally disconnected and unempathetic to the person or people on the receiving end of these insults. like "haha i know someone out there might have been called a fairy before being insulted and hurt emotionally or physically by people in their lives, but i mean *i* think it would be cute :)" isn't the quirky little opinion that you seem to think it is? and like sure, words like fairy and in this case sweet have been said in ways that arent publicly embarrassing and purposely hurtful. but the context here is the latter, so why do you think talking about how you would find a homophobic insult cute is an appropriate thing to do in this context. anyways it isnt a crime, just really distasteful behaviour lol
So as someone who cant drink due to being on multiple heart medications, the whole thing about alcohol being the only drink consistently provided is terrifying. Yes healthy people also deserve to have their basic necessities met and not be plastered as their only option, even suggesting otherwise is insane. but there are so many reasons why people might not want to drink, medication, past addiction, general dietary restrictions. this set up could genuinely get someone killed and that netflix has done it for four seasons is unreasonable.

This show is insane to me because I started dating my partner without seeing their face. We never saw each other without a mask on other than on social media, and they dont post their face, so i just didn't really know what they looked like. So i got the love is blind experience without being forced to like talk through a wall.
The grown man trying to name his kid after Godrick the Grafted killed me. Like how do you think that's gonna go? Are you gonna explain that to them in 10 years? Do you think any grade schooler will be able to resist making fun of a name like that? What a wild wild idea it is to do that
Zack posted the entire song clip on one of his social media channels. After he says he wrote the song, he clarifies and says, "well I didn't write the original song, it's a song by my favorite band Ludo that I changed a few words too." I guess the lawyer in him was not going to let people think he lied, which I understand.
This season revealed to me that a lot less people than I thought know about "I hope you dance" I thought everyone knows a universal sweet but depressing song.
Although I would admit even though I know it's a love song I thought more about it as a song someone who's passed away who would sing for you I don't know It just makes me think of death it so sad
SAME I thought I was losing my mind 😂 And it absolutely sounds like that. The vibe is basically writing one last song for your child before the terminal illness ends you 😬😭
What the-am I stupid I thought it was just someone singing about someone they love and giving them advice, like maybe their child? I didn’t realize it sounds sad??
@@shirin9452 I mean to be fair it's totally subjective it just sounded sad to me but it could definitely be hopefully nice advice I'm just ultra sentimental lol
Regardless of whether Netflix's edit made it seem like Zack tried to take credit for writing that song... they still owe us compensation for making us listening to him singing... twice... 😄
I don't know if this is mean/out of line but... I find it ironic Irena said Zach looked like a cartoon when she literally looks like a cartoon chipmunk 😅😆
I think Zach chose Irina because he was so insecure about being with someone who comes from a close family and he felt like he didn't have to worry about that with Irina.
People for some reason forgot Zach had trauma around families notaccepting him and Bliss literally told him that would happen 😅 although she said she would stand with him and did against her dad, why did people forget that he probably got triggered
The whole feet thing is strange because it happens in other reality shows too. In like season 4-5 of Real Housewives of New Jersey there are several scenes where a husband is all up on his wife's feet ON CAMERA. Like sniffing, kissing, making sexual comments about her feet...it's so gross
gay means happy before dude. and even then liking the same gender animals also do that so its natural though but they are common in some animals and some are rare, people saying gay to someone like its an insult is homophobic because they literally act like if you like the same gender as yours you are wrong or something
I was under the impression Marshal made that jaw comment as a logical contention to Jackie calling him sweet. Like one aspect of my person that’s typically masculine/feminine means I’m automatically this. But I could be wrong…
Yes, Jackie was being homophobic and said that he was "sweet" and twerks in bed, insinuating that he's gay. Marshall said something along the lines of for all he knew, she could be a man because of the strong jawline. He said he apologized for it and said that he was out of line while Jackie's apology to Marshall never came.
@@prairiehorse6168 while I don’t want to make it seem like his apology isn’t good enough or that jackie gets a pass to not apologise to him, someone being homophobic does not excuse and give someone a pass to be transphobic If he had wanted to point out the hypocritical nature of expecting masculinity in men he could have pointed out how she doesn’t need to be feminine to be a woman, not give into ideology that actively harms trans people
@@rabbit6546 I am not saying what he said was okay but I think he meant it jokingly and immediately realized it was wrong. Also Jackie accused him of saying a transphobic slur which he said isn't part of his vocabulary. @sewer~rat they don’t but she lied about him calling her a slur when she actually was calling him slurs regularly (and continues to do so, to this day) so it’s a different level of magnitude
I definitely believe the allegations of mistreatment on the show--I knew someone who was on one of the seasons of the bachelor in the late 2000s, and she described how they just constantly gave them alcohol, denied water, denied food and would wake them up randomly in the middle of the night to do confessionals. She said she would wake up some days at 4 am and there would be a producer handing her a glass of wine and telling her it was time to get up for the day.
i agree!! i think maybe he meant they were boring bc a lot of people go into watching reality tv for the drama? like they don't care about watching people who are actually navigating the weird situations set up by the show lol
I think part of the appeal of reality dating shows it to see the chaos and toxicity and think "at least my dating life is better than that lol" so when you see a healthy stable couple it's like "ugh, we get it, you're in LOVE and your relationship is PERFECT" and then you go cry about the zero matches you got on bumble but maybe I'm just projecting 😂

I appreciate you making this video because this was the first season I didn't watch, and I wanted a succinct summary of what happened. This is the best summary I've seen for anyone who didn't watch it and doesn't want to consume hours of live reactions to it either. as a trans man, I really wanna go on one of these shows, tell no one when applying that I'm trans and making it a big reveal that I'm the first trans contestant on a marrage game show and get kicked off immeditately
I've been thinking about what would happen if a situation like that would occur, every time I see something about love is blind specifically. Considering what happened with the couple where the guy came out as bi, idk if it would end up with just getting kicked out. But I'm also so sure that the producers would keep a trans contestant in just for the drama and negativity it'd gather solely because Netflix is awful. But it would also be a glorious call out of the show and how unfair they are, and I'd love to see it.
I have heard some stuff about this lawsuit and I CANNOT believe the producers thought it would be a good idea to subject people to no sleep, no food, no water, tons of booze, isolation, and then expect them to be entertaining/“fall in love”???
She was like I want you to choose me but if you need that validation in front of the altar, u shouldn't even be there. I don't fall for her sob story bec she seems like she has no idea what she wants
So people are being forced to pay $50,000 if they decide to leave unsafe working and living conditions... is that not some form of slavery? That sounds almost like indentured servitude. I don't see how that would hold up in court.
As someone that does not watch this show, this sounds like Squid Game levels of trapped-in-a-show dystopia vibes, especially that the contestants have to PAY the STUDIO $50k to leave the show. How very Netflix.
Yo! I know the wedding officiant in the scene of Micah and Paul's almost wedding! Her name is Cherise and she owns a business called Another One Ties The Knot. She was contacted by the creators and asked to be in the show. She agreed, but didn't really trust it. In that entire scene, she had no idea what was going to happen because I guess it was supposed to be a surprise to EVERYONE?! The entire show is crazy, but I especially love how chaotic Cherise's "behind the scenes" stories are.
I don't watch dating shows but I love hearing you summarize them because it's for some reason fun to hear about, and like everyone talks about them anyways so it's cool to hear what I need to hear without having to watch it. zack released the unedited clip of the song and he says something like “i wrote this song…kinda… it’s a song by one of my favorite bands and i’ve changed the words to be about you”
It's crazy to me that reality shows haven't changed their behind-the-scenes environment. We've learned how terrible the conditions were back in the day and how much the producers influenced almost everything to get content for their shows, but it's like they still don't care? It's wild, and extremely sad.
They don't care because they don't have to. People need to understand that going on these shows is signing up to be used for profit like this. To be clear: That's not me saying "they should know already," that's me saying that us, as an audience, need to stop assuming their's positive change with no evidence.
Love Is Blind is like, the single greatest distillation of trashiness to ever grace the small screen. Just pure, unadulterated trash injected directly into your veins, and somehow that makes me love it

OH my GRAVY! I fast-forwarded through a lot of those pre-wedding conversations with friends and family because they were just unnecessary to include in my mind.
Jarvis if you're wondering if things like this will do well, the answer is probably yes. And it's not necessarily because of the topic, it's because you display a genuine interest and concern over what you're discussing and THATS what we like to hear!

I think it’s time for Netflix to admit that this “experiment” has failed. Watching all these people get hurt and emotionally traumatized isn’t fun
as long as it makes a boatload of money netflix will never call it a failure
it is kinda fun
Each season about 2 couples out 5 get married. So I think there is pressure for some of them to get married so fans can't say it is a " failure" . But based on those couples, they did find their partner attractive. The ones that failed did not find their partner attractive. So it showed me " Love is not blind" lol
It all sounds like a Vault Tech experiment
At least in shows like real housewives it’s wannabe celebrities who are willingly causing fake drama for the cameras. There’s an unspoken understanding that most of the drama is fake and the cast is willfully putting on a show. Love is blind is just normal people trying their best and ending up traumatized. The “drama” in most cases is real, and actually hurts the contestants lives.

Same, but it’s so fun to watch Jarvis lose his mind watching it
I sat through a season because my roommate likes dating shows
Definitely prefer Jarvis’ abridged versions
Ugh. (Also this doesn’t excuse anything either of them said)
She’s so shallow. What does she expect from Marshall to sweep her off her feet like she’s a helpless damsel and treat her like she’s below him?
For REAL. Like girl, seek therapy.
and she wonders why she keeps ending up in the same toxic cycle? therapy is what she needs
As someone with PTSD I h o w l e d
I'm not sure she understands what PTSD is
I think she probably meant flashbacks and either had a brain glitch (which I get, it happens) and went flashbacks = ptsd, or her only reference for flashbacks is that they're a trait of ptsd 😅
saying his voice made her nipples hard was INSANE
@Kit
Hello brother
I definitely feel like the deprivation of food and sleep and contact (which are literal torture methods btw) is to get the contestants more emotionally unstable, dramatic, and ready to "fall in love". People scoff because they signed up for it, but there was little way to know that the conditions would be so harsh, and by the time they realize they are basically forced to stay by heavy financial consequences.
Honestly, they should make sure that their contracts stipulate a reasonable amount of food, sleep and water
So that they have recourse to leave or sue if denied
I think this is actually the plot of unReal lol
Zack posted a video of the song thing pre-edit. He literally before he sings it that it's not an original, it's by one of his favorite bands, and he changed the lyrics. So definitely the edit did him bad on that one 😬
They did that to Cameron’s rap. They chopped and screwed it and put a corny beat under it. Idk Netflix editors are messy 😂
@@daughterofyah6209 lmaooo
If they want to prop their legs up on a sofa for a break, the shoes have to go.
maybe the show was secretly directed by tarantino?
But like also arent they kinda living in these pods? Its pretty normal to have bare feet in your home so if theyre spending most of their time there it makes sense. Idk why ppl get so dramatic about feet. Like I personally am disgusted by the sight of ppl's soles but i logically know that they're just feet and its rlly not a big deal. So odd to me how some ppl treat feet like a private part.
@@idonotresidehere.5709 it's 1000% because of the rise of foot fetishists lol
If you're wearing something like heels, the shoes have to come off for that.

the manipulation mentioned about this show is truly present is borderline every reality show ever.

So, without revealing too much personal info, I do happen to know that one of the "villainized" people from s1 had to spend a significant amount of time in in patient mental health treatment after a serious mental breakdown as a direct result of being on the show. (Not publicized info so I'm trying to be vague)
But I think we've seen enough from production on this show to know something is up and they are intentionally setting up volatile situations and pushing certain edits to make a storyline, which would be great if these weren't actual real people who have to go back to their lives after this.
I wish that surprised me but it's basically how these shows work 😕
I hope they're doing better now, it's so fcked how producers will play with peoples sanity for "entertainment"
@sourgreendolly they were doing much better after some time! But it's a struggle bc now people recognize them fairly often.

This was a great video! I know you were concerned about the rambling style, but it worked really well! It felt friendly, and also I didn't feel pressured to have to completely watch every bit of it for information. You also indicated when you were going to show things, so I had a great time. I have ADHD so this was a good thing for me! This sort of video on the channel would be great to have more of!
Yes! This is such a relatable comment, I hope he sees it
All of this. I have nothing to add, just exactly this.
can i just give a big thank you to Jarvis for doing these videos on these shows so i can still stay relevant in conversations but not have to spend the time or make Netflix's algorithm think i want to watch more of these lol
My favourite part of every GOLD channel video is hearing that ''GOOOOOOLD!" in the background
A strange part of me wants to see Zack sing Love Me Dead now that I know he loves Ludo
I thought the same thing! Lol love me dead is SUCH a bop...but would be horrible to sing to someone on this show 😂😂😂
i love the lack of visuals in this video it really feels like i'm listening to a friend rambling abt their newest hyperfixation
as a trans man, I really wanna go on one of these shows, tell no one when applying that I'm trans and making it a big reveal that I'm the first trans contestant on a marrage game show and get kicked off immeditately
I’m a fellow trans man and this is so real, I was literally thinking basically the exact same thing💀
as a fellow fellow trans man, I agree, it would be so funny and silly!!
this will truly show 'love is blind'.
Folks would sense something is off 😅
I've been thinking about what would happen if a situation like that would occur, every time I see something about love is blind specifically.
I actually loved Micah tossing the "I do" question to Paul, actual reasoning aside. It was so on brand for their entire relationship
Why the hell is it so hard to just treat your contestants like human beings…
Because really show producers are evil in the States
The entire show is crazy, but I especially love how chaotic Cherise's "behind the scenes" stories are.
i think the answer is that love is not blind, we got our answer and we all need to move on
Kwame constantly sounded like Chelsea was holding him captive-
I don't watch dating shows but I love hearing you summarize them because it's for some reason fun to hear about, and like everyone talks about them anyways so it's cool to hear what I need to hear without having to watch it. You always broach them in a very approachable and understandable way too! Plus it's just more Jarvis Johntent which is always good
zack released the unedited clip of the song and he says something like “i wrote this song…kinda… it’s a song by one of my favorite bands and i’ve changed the words to be about you”
It's crazy to me that reality shows haven't changed their behind-the-scenes environment. We've learned how terrible the conditions were back in the day and how much the producers influenced almost everything to get content for their shows, but it's like they still don't care? It's wild, and extremely sad.
They don't care because they don't have to. People need to understand that going on these shows is signing up to be used for profit like this.
To be clear:
That's not me saying "they should know already," that's me saying that us, as an audience, need to stop assuming their's positive change with no evidence.
Love Is Blind is like, the single greatest distillation of trashiness to ever grace the small screen. Just pure, unadulterated trash injected directly into your veins, and somehow that makes me love it
24:22 Dude I'm literally gay and the only phrase out of those that I knew was fruity 💀 Those are for sure some obscure ones
I felt so dumb getting hyped all week for that live only to sit there for over an hour waiting and then I gave up cause I had to make dinner and I had to catch the reunion the next day
i enjoyed watching your videos about love is blind. i really don't like watching reality tv (the way it's edited can be very overstimulating in particular) but lots of people talk about them so hearing these summaries with the highlights is a way for me to stay up to date on this stuff without having to watch it myself. also, i really liked how you went into some behind the scenes aspects like with the article that came out rather than just summarizing what happened. i think that's a great angle to approach this from and i would def look forward to more of that
"Maybe don't predict a show after the first episode" are you trying to diss my man Scott Cramer?
Truthfully as a witchy girl who is always brewing potions, I feelt seen.
Resting Indifferent Face needs to be added to the English Lexicon
OH my GRAVY! I fast-forwarded through a lot of those pre-wedding conversations with friends and family because they were just unnecessary to include in my mind.
i havent seen a single episode of this show but i’m consuming a lot of content about it 😭
same
It is so laughably bad. Like the pacing of it all, I know that’s literally the premise of the show but it makes it impossible to take seriously
“And I sat in my little corner”
Jarvis, you are the reason I even picked up the show and I don't regret a single moment spent on it
Jarvis if you're wondering if things like this will do well, the answer is probably yes. And it's not necessarily because of the topic, it's because you display a genuine interest and concern over what you're discussing and THATS what we like to hear!
THIS
I didn’t know people still cared about Ludo. At least the guy has good taste. I recommend everyone to listen to Broken Bride, it’s a beautiful album that tells a story.
"I'm always going for the witchy girls, always brewing potion" What is this guy, Arin Hanson?
also my dude picking Godfrey and Godric... what next... Gideon the All Knowing? Sheesh.
Just watching and listening to you ramble about a topic was a nice and chill change of pace! Too bad the subject matter took a more unfortunate turn near the end but I hope you got some rest after this video and don't worry about uploading vids that have more chill vibes! It was entertaining and nice to listen to
Brett’s groomzilla moment was SO relatable 😅❤
I so frequently wonder about reality tv and how some things are not considered torture. Like where are the rights of these humans?? The television companies should be required to supply contestants with a lawyer even before signing some inhuman dangerous contract.
