An eye opener of the beauty and uniqueness of Philippine marine life was experienced by me on my first major dive trip to the country in 2005. This was after I have gone to other better known places like Palau and Tahiti which obviously have their own merits. With this eye opener, I can honestly say Philippine diving ranks up there as a world-class dstinations. Since then, I go back to the islands up to 3 times a year
Beautiful and informative documentary! Very happy that the Philippines is being recognized as a biodiversity hotspot! Indeed, the oceans, wildlife, plants, and forests here must be protected. I hope what happened to Boracay doesn't happen to the rest of our islands
Many thanks to the producer, scientists, staffs and the video maker of this great documentary, enjoyed watching this tremendously..more power to all fo you.
I live in Queensland, Australia and spend time on the Great Barrier reef islands. What surprised me in the Philippines was than instead of having to go miles out to the 'outer reef' as we do, to dive in clear water, in much of the Philippines you can find that reef on an island only 5 miles offshore as a fringing reef with clear water, then a deep drop off, maybe only 50 to 100 metres out from the beach. Our fringing reefs on the close in coastal islands are usually covered in fine silt that is hard to see through.
Beautiful Philippines... unfortunately, illegal logging and illegal fishing are destroying these riches of nature. If the Philippine government continues to sleep through these threats, the country will lose its natural riches and beautiful natural environment.

Superb. Happy but tragic and if little action is taken, likely to end in more tragedy for the environment and the Philippines. Please share this.
