  • All this week, the California Academy of Sciences is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its move into a new state-of-the art museum in San Francisco. ABC7 News was there a decade ago for behind the scenes coverage as new exhibits were created and old exhibits were re-imagined for the future. Here's more on one of the superstars at Cal Academy, Claude the albino alligator. abc7ne.ws/2xVtbLy

They HAVE TO do it quickly and forcefully because even with his mouth taped, he can knock people out with that tail or run away quickly. As if you could do a better job.

@@sofia7374 it’s possible . I was the city’s go to for handling aggressive animals for years.. they weren’t aggressive with me.. perhaps bc i didn’t exhibit threatening body language To intimidate them.. have corralled 200 lb so called “dangerous” canines for flights in legal cases easily and helped other orgs for yrs with medical with fractious and feral animals and was asked to teach a course on it..

It IS animal abuse to inflict harm upon an animal for anything other than an accident. And it IS on purpose because there's ALWAYS a better way to transport. Lack of finances are not an excuse to make an intelligent creature that can feel pain and fear bleed. Also there's never "we need to move them". Same as humans to native Americans during the colonization and after.
