I read the title, I read it in-game, but my brain still registered it as 'A game where you control a car fairy', and I was incredibly confused for a few seconds. 😂
That’s an awesome font for the game title. But I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. I wish they gave these games actual descriptive titles that weren’t just The followed by a word, or sometimes just the one word. Like, the apartment game Manly played was great. I loved the style they were going for, I thought it was well paced, it had a nice story with some deeper implications, but it’s impossible to find a deep dive or a review of the game when it doesn’t have a unique title to help it stand out.
Very much agreed. I feel that, in general, long descriptive titles both stand out more and give the audience a better idea of what they're getting. I know people sometimes mock "long, overly descriptive" light novel/anime titles, but I much prefer that format to this The X format.
@ right? Like, the film The Thing was able to get away with it because that’s not really two words that go together. It also fits because it’s descriptive of what the creature is, it’s a thing, it’s beyond their comprehension. They believe it’s an alien, and while the greater lore expands on this and agrees that it’s an alien, when people first watch the movie who’s to say it was an alien? It could’ve been some alien bacteria that had no sentience, it could’ve been some eldritch horror, all we knew for certain was that it was a thing. I also agree that some titles are a bit long when it comes to manga, but I haven’t seen that issue with a lot of western stories. The longest title I can think of is I have no mouth, and I must scream. and I’ve never heard of anyone complaining about the length of that title before. I hope more people begin to come up with longer titles, at least something that’s two words long and is written in a way that a can’t clash with other internet searches.
