Keeping the pump running while trying to fix a clog in real life would pretty much guarantee death. You'd get sucked into the pipe and that'd pretty much be the end of you.

I love the concept of humanity finding a living planet, and instead of treating it as a cosmic anomaly and/or putting it in quarantine, they immediately start harvesting it and build a theme park on it
I mean the resource of said living planet, the blood, is apparently really good and can be consumed... With much delight too.
I wouldn't exactly blame any megacorp trying to exploit that for their profit.

Not that scripted death can _never_ work, but it has to be doing something more than just "uhh I didn't know how to end my game lol".

i like to imagine the submarine from iron lung is on this planet somewhere. i mean, how many blood planets can there be?
The idea of a blood/flesh/living planet is actually quite old and heavily permeated in sci-fi and anime. But the specific rust aesthetic mixed with blood planet in indie games is straight Iron Lung while Iron Lung itself is mixing Silent Hill's rust with post Impact Eva universe as clear inspirations which means that Silent Hill takes place before Neon Genesis and Iron Lung takes place after the events of End of Eva and this is really just Earth.

In the blink of an eye you're sucked through a hole too small for you to fit through (in one piece) and die instantly.
The one piece the one piece is r- **Delta P Event**
No: the pipes are at positive pressure to the room, so, like an inept surgeon/surgical tech IRL, you're just getting squirted with inopportune quantities of blood.
The ACTUAL delta-P issue the game isn't showing is the lethal barotrauma from inappropriate dive platforms (about 1 atm change per 10 M depth; setups like the byford dolphin are only at 9 atm (90 M) to prevent death-by-decompression but the dive platforms in this game go up to at LEAST 100 M... lol, the devs should have used feet, it would have been a bit less ridiculous)
If i had the ability i too would make terrifying flesh creatures to stop the weird parasites from draining me of my blood.

Before that we were sailing on a really bad raft getting onto an island in a post-apocalyptic world, I think it might've been the zombie apocalypse?
Honestly really metal and kinda cool looking back at it, but that might be the insomnia and sleep deprivation talking, because I'm terrified of space, gore, the ocean, AND the zombie apocalypse.

I kinda dislike when a horror game set in the industrial horror setting is a bit too on the nose. "contribution of product by any and all personnel" up to complete exsanguination. Ah yes the classic "if you don't complete your quota we'll just kill you" thing that appears in every single one of these games, just stated outright. Really believable.
I'd much rather the horror came from the hazards of the job being supernatural + oversight and neglect, rather than outright "we're gonna kill you" malice from the corporation. The latter is so unfathomably unbelievable that it just removes interest in a game.
Lol no, you're way too optimistic/naive about corporations dude.
A cosmic horror is believable to you but a company treating its workers really badly isn't somehow? LOL
Get out of here with that, that's the most realistic part of any of these games.
