We try both, at the end we choose the Acura RDX A-Spec 2024. The RDX has more power. The Lexus driving style Had the same feeling as a Corolla not fun to drive.
I love this car. Admire the wheels do look like they’re made up of butter knives. It might be outdated but I think this powertrain is amazing for this small suv. Might have less torque than the nx’s 2.5 turbo but it’s actually quicker to 60.
The test drive should be in normal mode to get the best yet smooth performance. Comfort mode (which showed on the dash that you were in when you started) has noticeably less throttle response. Normal mode provides more low end torque without feeling like it's artificiallly boosted. In sport mode you'll feel and see the RPMs rev up higher to get a little better responsiveness from throttle.
RDX drives and handles like a sports car, something the NX cannot compare. The NX is fairly comfortable but very tight spaces makes it a bit cluster phobic. The only thing the NX might have an upperhand is probably the long term reliability. I personally prefer the driving dynamics of the RDX.
@naveenthemachine I definitely tend to agree with you, this is why I currently Leasing an RDX, so I don't even care about reliability. At the end of the day the RDX is a car really build for enthusiasts. The NX was really boring to be honest.
The Lexus might have long-term reliability over Acura, boy dude you better do your homework hell has a better chance of freezing over I'm surprised Toyota still in business with all those class action lawsuits on them will continue to sue them because of the garbage and I don't feel sorry for them at all!!! Six years to get all the bugs out, though. And I actually like all of the button controls and analog gauges. I feel like the next generation is probably going to be a bunch of smudgy expensive touchscreen crap.

I still look forward to hoping in my 80k mile 2020 Raptor, I could care less about driving the RDX. And it actually gets pretty crappy MPG I’m only seeing 21ish over 1500 miles mostly highway. I owned the new nx. Cheap feeling piano plastic interior panels and rubbery plain passenger side dashboard. Could not stand it. Got rid of it after a few months.
So why the heck hasn’t Acura fixed that dang 360° view. Like why do I need a picture of a Camera that takes up 1/3 of the screen? Like that is my biggest pet peeve about this car. Acura why?
Like most new cars this is overpriced for what you get. Entry level for $56,000? No thanks. Ben you could try and get to some twisty roads at speed and show how the SH AWD functions. Thanks for your reviews.
Ill just sit here and read how Toyota’s and Honda’s fanboys fight over a CRV and a RAV4!!! In my opinion both are far from what a luxury vehicle really is!!! This was good back in 2019, but it needs an entirely new generation to decently compete with other offerings. Would still take this over an NX though.

The center console of Acura looks very sporty and beautiful.
