I've been eyeing the NX even before the the RDX refresh in 2019. Kept my eye on both for about 5 years. I landed on a '21 RDX ASPEC in apsec blue pearl, with 0 regrets. Only con is the mpg, which isn't really that bad. The NX is for smaller people. Stereo is far better in the RDX. The RDX is a driver's car with much better handling. I've put 10,000 miles on it so far without one problem. I've done six 500 mile trips, and the seats are comfy. Longest I've done in the seats in one day was 10 hours with no pains or aches; usually the seats are the limits on my drives, but not in the RDX.

Lexus all day because of brand reputation, resale value, dealers service rating, longevity and style. Moreover, Lexus offers many different engine configurations to fit different owner lifestyles and needs. Personally, I prefer Lexus styling over Acura.
If you value visibility, RDX is the way to go. NX feels so claustrophobic inside. Smaller windows, high belt line. I’m really surprised that nobody’s talks about it. This is a deal breaker for me. Looks over practically.
Absolutely! I test drove both cars yesterday. I'm just under 6' and I hit the visor with my head while getting in the NX. That's never happened to me in any other vehicle. The RDX immediately felt roomy and more comfortable while driving. Both are nice otherwise and the Lexus had a nice feel to it. But I felt very cramped in the NX so I'm likely going to go for the RDX.

I’ve had a 2016 RDX AWD since new. Has the 3.5 liter v6. I think it gets better gas mileage than the 4 cylinder turbo. Best car overall I’ve owned. I’m hoping Acura makes an EV or hybrid RDX size car.
Have NX 450. And would not trade it for RDX (which i had previously). More comfy. Nicer interior. Ride smoothness. And save tons of gas with PHEV. I filled the tank 5 times in 13 months and 17,000 km
I love the Lexus NX450 Plus PHEV. It’s a great value for what you get like the luxurious interior appointments, the quality of materials, sound insulation, top notch dealers network. Lexus will pay off over time and the longer you own, the more you love Lexus. I drive nothing but Toyota and Lexus.
Simply put: RDX = Rough and Dynamic aggressive Expression and engine feel, slightly larger interior and thus good for above average sized individuals, and for individuals who love to hear engine revving and turbo sounds; NX = Smooth and elegant look and engine feel, slightly compact interior and thus good for skinny individuals, and for individuals who love a quiet ride even at high RPMs.
I've had my Lexus NX300 for five years and love it except for the interior. It's a bit tight in the front and not very luxurious. I love the changes Lexus made with the interior which was long overdue. I may trade in for a current model. I would consider the Acura but I don't like the transmission problems.

I own 2022 NX350 F-Sport. I get compliments all the time for the new design. I absolutely love it. Also, the reliability of Lexus is the best in the market. Very comfortable car.
It does look feminine though.. and the RDX looks more masculine. Wider and lower. NX is narrower and the wheelbase looks short, so it looks like it's got a long nose/overhang.. not v aesthetically pleasing
The compliments that we’ve been getting are quite the opposite of “famine.” The Lexus NX has a tough look and manly appeal, big rig grill. We haven’t had any negative comments.
As pwner of both Lexus and Acura cars and SUVs. I can tell you forst hand Acura quality is not what it use to be. Lexus on the other hand are still bullet proof.
Agreed. A luxury SUV should be roomy and more comfortable in the back seat. Plus, the RDX has more cargo volume, which would make it better for road trips.
+1 For taller drivers the NX is also too small. You have to step up to the Lexus RX for comparable room to the RDX, and then the price difference is substantial.
It is splitting hairs to discuss any Lexus vs Acura, especially their reliability. Mechanics say both brands are equally easy to work on but if anything, Acura parts are a tad cheaper than Lexus parts. Lexus feels a bit more luxurious while Aruca handles better. Either one is a winning option though I went with NX350h for more luxurious feeling interior.
Yeah Lexus might be a little bit more reliable in the long run but you can't compare the SH-AWD in Acuras and the performance from the engine transmission etc , also overall you get more for the money in the Acura, lexus you have to check in every option you want as a separate
Both good brands and good cars. Lexus is to over styled. Lexus tries too hard that grill -RDX is much more conservative and subtle. But again both good cars and it simply comes down to preference.
Very true my friend. I remember my local Acura dealer has so many MDX and RDX in their inventory lot that they can’t even fit in the dealer lot. They had to borrow a plot of land from a nearby golf course to park their brand new MDX and RDX on it. Where as my local Lexus dealer, there was no more than a few RX or NX on the lot.
So does the fact that more people listen to Taylor Swift than Bruno Mars mean the former has more talent? Go look up bandwagon fallacy on Google.. the masses don't necessarily know best...
Looking at both and it appears most comments pretty much on track. For me, the touchscreen (NX) vs trackpad (RDX) and electric steering wheel adjustment (NX) vs lever (RDX) are probably going to lead me to Lexus. Still have to evaluate driver leg room on the Lexus, phone charging (heard a report that NX faults out easily) and rear seat belts on the Lexus for shorter people (might hit em in the neck). Then, I’ll make a decision between these two. FYI: Ruled out Audi, BMW, Volvo because Lexus/Acura have a 6yr/70K power train warranty and those brands don’t. Couldn’t really consider Genesis since the nearest dealer is too far away.

Or do people just parrot what everyone online says? It's not that bad. The infotainment is fine. Acura is performance oriented to try to be a driver's car. Wow spoken like an idiot.....First MY F Sport NX has NO TURBO! Second: the NX does NOT have a CVT...dummy indeed: NOTE: This is a “NOT” repeat, not a CVT gearbox on the NX, ( many that can not afford this vehicle “try” to put it down by trying to spread this FALSE propaganda (do your research) ...this is not a CVT vehicle!)......it is an “ e-CVT “which is an epicycloidal transmission and no belt of any kind. eCVT is completely different from a cvt. eCVT doesn't use belt/band. Nothing are the same. It's a transmission that contentiously varies, the mechanics are different but the outcome is the same !

Yeah sure like every car in the world but if you don't want to have problems with cars in general ,use public transportation
Not in my area. I usually see older people driving the Acura RDX than the Lexus NX. The old Lexus SUVs absolutely! Every granny had one but not the newer models. Those grannies are still driving their old Lexuses because they are so darn reliable.
@@ivanperez707 lexus wont so why would I?
NX is not a good car provided that it has a turbo, CVT engine, and requires premium gas. It looks better than RDX. I have 20204 NX350h that eliminates all the cons of the NX petrol engine.
Never heard of a CVT engine before, you must be the first owner with one
@@andys1548well, it does have a turbo transmission 😂
@@mj8495 I've heard those being able to fly lmao
Lexus IS overrated. Get the BMW X3 or the Acura RDX or MDX.
Acura is one of the most overpriced and in competitive luxury brand in the Japanese segment
Lexus NX is for babies…grown folks drive RDX!
RDX looks way better.
rdx look more sporty nice design more roomy
