It's strange how something that so naturally evokes comforting feelings of youthful, pristine, masculine coolness (for lack of a better term), as Jeff Beck's electric guitar playing has done for me ever since I discovered him decades ago as a teenager, now simultaneously amplifies the tear-inducing power of my sadness over the news of his passing.🎸
I don't think I have ever seen this performance before. If anyone was ever in any doubt about Jeff Beck's sheer musical/guitar genius, then I suggest they witness this. There was just one J.B, alas, there will never be another. R.I.P Jeff.

Superb performance, now we hear people agree. A majority of top gunslingers say Jeff was the greatest guitarist of this time, this era. You had to see him live, although there is also some good stuff here on UA-cam. Beck with Clapton is usually excellent.

@@matheuscanteri yes .. just had a few days off listening to Jeff , Roy and SRV ... seen all 3 play live and all of them i left in a trance , mind blown and high for days afterwards wondering .. what the F just happened .. and tho srv and roy were in 80s , its like it was yesterday .. so fresh in my mind still ..im 60ish now and even get a tear now and then when hear Roy and SRV , looks like Jeff will get the occasional tear now to ... as Mr Cash says in Hurt ... " everybody goes away in the end " ... sad but true .. but at lest i am old enough to have had the chance to see them play .. something that cant go away till my end ...

Jeff is a legend but lost me when he went tremolo/finger playing centric as it seemed more of a schtick than anything. David Fiuczynski same but worse with the micro-tonal playing. I can’t bring myself to listen to him anymore and I was a huge fan seeing him in Montreal and NYC.
